Not to play 20 Questions but how bad is the housing, what makes up for the lack of sales tax, and what are your seasons like? It has to be gorgeous out there.

 
It is gorgeous out there. If I were to live in New England that's where I'd go. But I wondered about the taxes and found this:
 
New Hampshire is one of the few states with no statewide sales tax. There are, however, several specific taxes levied on particular services or products. These excises include a 9% tax on restaurants and prepared food consumed on-premises, a 9% tax on room and car rentals, a tax of $0.00055 cents per megawatt-hour on electricity, and a 7% tax on telecommunications services.
While New Hampshire does not collect a sales tax, excise taxes are levied on the sale of certain products, including alcohol, cigarettes & tobacco, and gasoline. These excise taxes are passed on to the consumer in the goods' price.
 
And if property values are high like B0baganoush said then they're probably getting you on the property taxes.

I sent them a PM to not bog down this thread too much, but the short story is that there's no sales or income tax (yes, there is a tax at restaurants, but that's in most states I've been to). There's no tax on alcohol and whatever excise they put on it still keeps it lower than any other state I've been to, which is why there are literal liquor-store-rest-stops on the highway to and from Massachusetts lol (yes, a rest-stop, that is also a massive liquor and wine outlet...oh, and one on both sides of the highway, to and from MA). You don't notice the hotel and rental car increases much as a resident (at least I don't). Electricity is more expensive than some other states, which is why fuel-oil and propane are popular for heating your house. gas is cheaper here than in NY or VT. Houses are expensive, but cheaper than NYC or Boston. We currently have lots of city folks buying the houses for more than they're worth to WFH from...which creates even more strain on the housing market. Minimum wage is low, but even places like Taco Bell and Starbucks are paying way over minimum wage and offering bonuses, college tuition, etc. to get people to work there. I'm not kidding about "every business"...every retail business you drive by has a sign up indicating that they're hiring. Most other businesses are hiring too, but they advertise online and with recruiters, not signs by the road lol. So if you can find a place to live, you can have a job. Property taxes aren't cheap, but they're not much more than other states, especially considering the high property values.

  Hey guys, kinda late to the party. I am trying to get an idea on the movement of certain cards with the timestamps that are posted. I have been going back several postings, but I think you guys know alot more than I do. Just trying to get an opinion on my ballpark wait time with my timestamps. I didn't submit many entries because I am only looking for a 3080. I will splurg for the ti at this point. 
   Card of choice was 3897 (5/10/21) with that date not counting on that one. However, ti card 3967 (6/9/21 4:32) and 3953 (7/4/21 11:55) do you guys think I am long way off still? If I am only a few months out, I will stop looking to overpay somewhere else. Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately you didn't sign up in the 1st 24 hours of release of those cards so yeah you're looking at maybe next year If you're lucky

I'd still prefer a 3080 and something with better cooling, so I've messaged a friend who's been looking for longer than I have to see if he wants it.  Unlike me, he has the kinds of responsibilities that make it infeasible to wake up super early to spend 30-90 minutes fighting through the rush to sign up for a new queue.
