These updates include the latest 0x12B Microcode and the Intel ME Firmware Update (16.1.32.2473).
 
This BIOS is considered BETA, and we only recommend flashing it to one of your BIOS chips, just in case you need to revert back to an older version.
 
The BETA BIOS can be downloaded at the links below:

• 121-AL-E699-KR - EVGA Z690 DARK K|NGP|N – v2.17
• 121-AL-E698-KR - EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED – v2.16

 
Please take note that the 0x12B Microcode is only tested with the Intel 13^th Gen. Processors on the EVGA Z690 Motherboard Series.

Yes, it is part of BIOS update and if you revert to an earlier version of the BIOS the ME will revert as well.

Will this update the ME firmware automatically?

Thank you guys for getting this BIOS out to us! It's a shame that EVGA has pulled out of the Motherboard market but I don't think there's another vendor out there past or present that would pull out of market segment and still provide warranty and BIOS support to their products they pulled out of like you guys have! APO would have been nice and official 14th gen support on Z690 also would have been nice but I understand the reasoning.
 
So far testing the 2.16 12b bios has been working just fine.

Hi everyone, is nice to see that EVGA team has provided us with a bios update even though is beta. I however came here to look and see if the 14900K is supported on the EVGA Z690 Classified motherboard or not. Thanks!

Thank you for your offer and I can confirm that we do have 14th Gen. Intel Processors here for testing, but as mentioned above due to the hardware circuitry that would need to be changed to fully support two generations of Intel processors since the release the Z690 series, EVGA does not support Intel Current Gen. Processors on the Z690 series motherboards.
 
The BIOS is updated to the latest Microcode and if you would like to test an unsupported processor you can, but please understand that EVGA does not support or recommend the setup beyond 13th Gen. Intel processors on the EVGA Z690 series motherboards.

Hey Chris, can you post a 14th gen update even if it is super super beta. I will send you guys a 14900k to use to release some sort of 14th gen update for this board.

This might be silly to ask but what if your team test the 14th gen CPU in the z690 and without reworking the hardware circuitry but instead you only try to get it stable as close as you can and offer us z690 owners a "Use at your own risk" bios update. Maybe this is too much to ask but this would great because then atleast the CPU can have somewhat stable wattage/ power. If this doesn't make sense lmk, but this would be cool to have a little download at your own risk 14th gen somewhat of a bios update to experiment with.

While it may not officially be supported, I can confirm that the 14900K does indeed work. You won’t be able to use OC Robot. That is all I found so far that’s broken. Ran OCCT and karhu for many hours with no crashes. Just lock all your cores at 5.7 or 5.8 and you’re good to go. So as you stated, try it at your own risk.

Can you make the bios open source so I can mod it for the 14600k and so on..

Hey Chris, I went and bought myself a i5 13600k knowing it wouldn't be smart to go 14th gen knowing that it's not fully supported. I would like to know if you have any more bios updates for 13th gen that I could download soon.. thank you again sorry for being annoying. Hope to receive news soon:)

I went with the 13600k over the 14600k cuz I knew that they're practically the same and would have a better experience with the 13th gen as it has support. Praying Chris releases the non beta

You're probably right about a non beta BIOS coming fairly soon. As far as 13th gen, the 15th gen chips are due to be released anytime now which makes 13th gen CPU's 2 generations old.

Z690 Chipset from Intel, started by supporting 12 Gen CPUs .... it is kind of a old Chipset,
 
I'm amazed that 14 Gen CPUs were ever compatible
