I spent my weekend driving to and from a soccer tournament. Our team finished well, but it wasn't enough to overcome some pretty tough losses in the round robin. But I couldn't be prouder of enewt jr. and her compatriots.

In other news I'm kinda bummed. UPS always gives me a delivery window between 11am & 3PM. They always are closer to 3PM. I got an email that they attempted delivery at 10:45. Darn it! I was planning to be home by noon. Now I have to wait a minimum of another day for my kingpin.

I had the opposite experience...UPS delivered my kingpin card in the rain and did not require a signature as requested...I was pretty upset..fortunately, evga wraps all cards in a plastic bag. I have started having all UPS packages over $1k delivered to my local UPS store. You just go in to your UPS account, add the tracking numbers, and request them to hold your package at a local store

I tried this but UPS will not allow me to redirect to a local store. Message "this has been disabled due to shipper requirements" I don't understand why. Me signing there is the same as signing at my house.

UPS stores in US are franchises, not owned by UPS, so it may be hit-or-miss on if they're allowed to be used for redirecting packages. I haven't had any issues redirecting FedEx packages to nearby FedEx stores, but those are actually run by FedEx so probably less of an issue for them. I wish UPS did this, too, since I had to make sure I was home all day for the last two cards I got from EVGA as my local UPS stores don't seem to allow redirect either.

Due to recent unexpected medical expenses and some cost overruns with pc case+diy custom sleeving, I won't have the money for this GPU for a few weeks, and it'll be stretching things thin to do so.  Doesn't feel right coming back in a month or so when I genuinely will know about the notify likely this week.
 
I'd really love to have an FTW3, but gotta snap out of the GPU fever and back to reality.  My 6900XT has shown me that upgrading my struggling R5-2600 is a higher priority than another top-end GPU that it'll hold back.  I can upgrade CPU to 3950X, add 2x 144hz 1440p IPS monitors, and replace my secondary GPU (grumpy Firepro w7000) with a Quadro T600 (currently have 5 monitors, but need 2 more) for the same price as the 3080Ti FTW3.  This will be by orders of magnitude a far better gaming/working/hobby experience and wiser use of money, so I think I'm gonna go with this.
 
The few family members or IRL friends interested in upgrade are looking around the price of the 3080Ti for an entire PC.  I removed my notifies so a fellow queue member not so GPU-blessed can lessen their agony by at least a day.
 
I'll still be lurking in the queue as it reduces my cravings for salty foods and I still have other notifies that are ~year away :p 
 
BTW here's PC currently. P500A modded to have grommets and 8.8" stat screen.

Why would we be against?  I am using Kram36s lists he gave up to keep track of cards Im interested in.  His lists were great, but when he abandoned them, it sucked.  So I dug them up and try to keep track of them best I can.  Full time firefighter, father etc.. Plus hurricane just came through, Ha.  Anyway, they are Krams old list, so If you find them helpful, great, give him props. Enewt does a great job as well.  I just liked knowing exactly where I was on each card im waiting on.

Agreed. rzelek506, we're all on the same team here. I -- and others -- took exception to the commercial site that folks later caught scalping their associate code-won cards back to the gaming community, but I've got absolutely zero issue with kram36, nezff or others that are just trying to help out the community. We just need to collectively get through this -- and preferably sooner rather than later (all these s'mores are costing a fortune in new wardrobes...yeah, I said it...plural...).

That sucks man, hopefully things aren't too serious and everybody pulls through. You're a bro for dropping out of the queue and smart, too. Like you said, upgrading those other components will be far more worthwhile than another GPU. And your build looks awesome!
