JoergF It is quite obvious, EVGA serves domestic customers first. That is understandable. What can be criticized, however, is that this is not openly stated.
Let's be clear, you will only get a card here if you live in the US, are an Elite member, got in line in the first hour(s) after release, and have several months of patience. For all EU residents: just forget it! The US queue is already serving registrations from mid-April with 3060s while the EU queue is still stuck in February. I guess that says it all. But there is no point in complaining, it only wastes valuable time. See if you can find a cheap 6600 XT somewhere on the open market around 450 EUR, downgrade to 1440p and wait for Lovelace and the end of the pandemic. Whereby "cheap" is obviously relative. But be quick, because most 6600 XTs have already risen to 500 EUR and more. Of course, if you have enough money, then that doesn't concern you anyway. It's up to everyone to spend 1000 EUR or more for a mid-range 3070 or other card. In any case, I am reluctant to do so.
I'm at 07:57 6/3/2021 in EU queue. What I can see in our list is, that a lot of people in front of me are not willing to buy one card so they should move on to the next. But now it seems like they will sell this contingent to shops or they will give it free to US queue. That's not ok!

tweaktown has gone all in on referral links, popup ads, and adblocker blocking to monetize their web traffic over the past few years. Sometimes, their links are loaded with referral codes and extra data variables that trigger errors

defensor Morning everyone. Although EVGA uses air freight and shouldn’t effect their supply chain, I thought the article about 44 containers sitting off the California coast (a record) is a reminder of the difficulties in our current environment. The increase in oil price and choked logistical hubs, among other significant factors, will cause inflation to continue. GPU’s included.
Let’s hope everyone in the queue can get theirs before that happens.
I've been sailing the waters between Newport Beach and Marina del Rey since I was a pre-teen. I've never seen it this bad...even when the dockworkers were striking. It's just incredible.
I'm honestly more concerned about the climate crisis right now. How are the fires down there enewt? Saw some pictures that looked pretty bad. We had a few up here further north, but thankfully it's gotten cooler and a bit wetter now. Grim prospects for the future though...

I hear you on climate change. My wife wants to move to the Midwest as she thinks it would be safer bet as the planet warms. I'd prefer Seattle or even Vancouver, but the forest fires are no joke. I'd like to think North Carolina would be good...maybe Epic is hiring.... But for the moment, we are here in the greater Los Angeles basin. The onshore winds are prevailing, so the smoke isn't headed our way. That could change any moment. Over the past three years, we've been in one "voluntary evacuation" zone and on the edge of another. At least two of the fires that have been near us were set deliberately. I fear it is only a matter of time.

They are EVGAs cards, so they can do what they want with them. If they want to keep putting the unclaimed cards in the US queue instead of letting the EU queue catch up, we can think that's a shame, but that' s it. All we neglected EU customers can do at this time is not take it personally, put aside any customer loyalty (that's an illusion anyway) and choose the best possible deal on the market. Just as EVGA also sells the bulk of its cards to whoever brings in the most profit. That's just how capitalism works and there are hardly any better alternatives to this approach. IMHO the 6600 XT has the best price-performance ratio at the moment (if you don't need ray tracing). The drivers have improved a lot, it is super efficient, cheaper and stronger than the 3060. AMD has done a good job with this card, even if it is a bit weak at 1440p and a (currently expensive) 6700 XT would be better suited. And still available at reasonably good prices, but not for long!

Not to play 20 Questions but how bad is the housing, what makes up for the lack of sales tax, and what are your seasons like? It has to be gorgeous out there.

I live about a half hour west of Charlotte and we are in a sweet spot that avoids the high winds for the most part. The hurricane remnants tend to go east of Charlotte, or over towards Atlanta. We came from Seattle and Portland, so the humidity is about the only thing we had to get used to. The growth rate is high, which means housing values are increasing. It's a great time to move here, as houses are still very affordable. I have a 6 year old house, 3BR, 2BA, 2 car garage for 250k that I bought new for 141k. Throw in our gigabit fiber and good work environment (we are the "Wall Street of the South" as we have the big banks HQ here) and you have a comfortable quality of life at an affordable price, with lots of upside to housing over the next 2-5 years. The Triad area is very good as well, as it has some of the best schools in the country, and tech jobs galore. I think Charlotte has better affordability and planned growth though, if you are looking to benefit from future home price growth.

Thanks! This honestly won't be for me. I'll be making a PC build with it and then sell it locally. I do reviews and builds for my small, but growing, YT channel. So buying all the stuff then selling at maybe 50-100 bucks profit is how I fund things since I'm not rolling in the dough like the large YT'ers. :D The EVGA queue, even if it's taken a long time, has been a god send as I know I'll get the card eventually unlike the shuffle or any other random bundle crapshoot going on. Hopefully the 3060 Ti's queue up soon. I've got 2 on the notifies and I'm only a day away! lol

ExcaliburXVII Not to play 20 Questions but how bad is the housing, what makes up for the lack of sales tax, and what are your seasons like? It has to be gorgeous out there.
It is gorgeous out there. If I were to live in New England that's where I'd go. But I wondered about the taxes and found this: New Hampshire is one of the few states with no statewide sales tax. There are, however, several specific taxes levied on particular services or products. These excises include a 9% tax on restaurants and prepared food consumed on-premises, a 9% tax on room and car rentals, a tax of $0.00055 cents per megawatt-hour on electricity, and a 7% tax on telecommunications services. While New Hampshire does not collect a sales tax, excise taxes are levied on the sale of certain products, including alcohol, cigarettes & tobacco, and gasoline. These excise taxes are passed on to the consumer in the goods' price. And if property values are high like B0baganoush said then they're probably getting you on the property taxes.

nezff Very very dry day
Surprised there's no 3967 stragglers today. I've also been 2 seconds away on the 3797 for the past 2 weeks lol.
Hey that's right. Several people passed on the 3967 yesterday. Should be stragglers.
Maybe EVGA sent them to the EU queue
