CraptacularOne

So you now admit to being a troll as well as being wrong the whole time? It just never ends with you does it?

Troll ? No, not at all. I did it because you started calling me names. I must admit it was funny as hell to read your angry responses.

Being wrong the whole time ? Yes and no. Depends of point of view. Most likely subject i gave this thread was unfortunate, but i tried numerous times to explain that i am only talking about my very specific case... my rig, few games i play and expectation to play them in 60FPS. Besides that i know you are right and you proved it with the results you posted. But again, i never said that my opinion is true for anything else than my own rig and experience i had with the few games i play.

well your either a troll, or just someone who couldnt admit your error and kept digging a deeper grave.
Crap along with the folks were explaining it nicely to you.
unfortunate that you were stubborn enough to not realize your error till much later.
so now, your just making excuses for your own ignorance.
there wasnt much name calling.

(im bored now too rofl)

Not to stir the pot or anything, but to OP, I'm currently CPU bottlenecked with my quad-sli gtx 295's.  No matter how much I push the GPU's above core/mem of 845/1225, I get no performance benefit.  My CPU is holding me back at a blck of 217.  To unlock those fps, or in other words, to finish the vantage benchmark faster, I have to try to get the CPU freq. higher.

I'm at the bleeding edge of my system's performance....you on the other hand are just playing some games.  I will notice a 1 fps reduction, as it has a significant impact on my score.....you on the other hand will notice nothing significant.

Regarding your results, yes i see your point, no doubt about that. Problem is we are playing different games. Apparently what i play is less cpu dependent.

Just trying to help you here........ What I think you are missing is this..... You named this thread "CPU/GPU bottlenecking issue seems like BS to me :)"

To those that have been on a forum on a regular basis, take you at your word from the title. So we come in to learn or help.

A better title would have been... CPU/GPU Bottleneck in DIRT2 seems BS... Then many of us would have taken interest and tried or help you improve your system settings.

Instead you are arguing what anyone who has been in the gaming fun and overclocking tweaks for any real period of time, knows is wrong.

Frankly when I first came to this thread I was hoping to learn something from your info. Sadly this has not happened.

May I suggest that you take a break and call this thread dead? Otherwise... well any help you may want from this forum may be slow in coming to you....

i have dirt 2 running at res of 2560 x 1440 dx11 8xmsaa  all ultra settings and i get 182fps max and 160 min, there is definately something wrong with ur setup if ur only getting 60 fps with 2 5870's

r u sure youre running in crossfire, try enabling the crossfire indicator from right clicking on ur desktop and enable on the cards via the menu!!
