Hello my name is NotoriouS and i am WAY behind on my Hydro Copper block Maintenance on my 3090 Kingpin.

Going to fix that this weekend. I have not took my block apart since i converted from the AIO version to the hydro copper block about a year and a half ago.

I have ordered new thermal pads for the front PCB and the back thermal pad sheet that covers the whole backplate (inside that covers the whole back PCB) from Optimus. My first questions is, what about the putty for the front PCB? Tried to call EVGA today during business hours and got  a recording to call back during business hours lol? oooook.

Has anyone used aftermarket thermal putty to replace the EVGA putty? If so what brand and w/mk did you go with? Just browsing Amazon i found a couple that were 16.8w/mk and 12.8w/mk respectively but not sure which one to go with. Or has anyone just went with actual thermal pads instead of the putty? If so what size did you use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Oh no sorry, for the GPU die i got some fresh Kingpin thermal paste on the way (cant use anything else , right lol)

I'm talking about the thermal putty that is required to be used for the inductors. On the 3090 KP block, it comes with a tube of putty to run into the channels on both sides for the inductors but i have no idea what the w/mk of the tube EVGA provides is. Looking for a solution to this.

I never use putty on my cards. I use kpx and 20W/m.K thermal pads 🤷‍♂️ on my 3090ti kp there's no putty between the inductors atm, only a thermal pad. Temps are fine.
