In the NewEgg shuffle today.

Paying $1.8k ($2k with tax) I would not recommend unless you are specifically mining...and even then, I would not recommend $2k for a GPU

I'm getting 120 FPS, Ultra settings, at 4K in Chivalry II (locked by engine at 120 FPS) with my 3090.  I haven't found a game yet that I can't maintain above 60FPS, Ultra 4K.

3080Ti might be the better "value" option for 4K gaming.  3080 obviously would be the best value option for 4K gaming (although the FPS won't be there) but since it's a dead product (and likely to continue to be dead at this point) - nothing wrong with a 3090, if your budget allows.

completely agree got the 3090 myself(from queue).was that or wait god knows how long or pay 2500 or more
for a 3080.was an easy no brainer.and its a beast havent even tried the overclock switch.but my 1200watt PSU
arrives today.a 850watt PSU with a O.C cpu and a small OC on my card exceeded the 850watts.(sad face)

sounds good, but please extend the window to 48 hours.. some of us don't live next to our computers or sleep with them on our bed.

Can you imagine how slow this would move if everyone had 48 hours? It's bad enough as it is... Eight hours is more than enough, and as others have mentioned, EVGA is very generous with people missing their windows.

I agree; I think 8 hours is plenty. Newegg only has a 2 hour window and if you miss it, tough cookies; no second chance. EVGA is doing things right, imo.
 

Did Jacob say anything about the 3080 Ti Hybrids being shipped out this week? I'm 2 minutes behind the queue and it's been sitting there for nearly 3 weeks now with little to not movement at all.

He said yes last week and position didn't change whatsoever so I'll take it with a grain of salt. I thought I'd get my card by now but I guess I'm going to get it in January of 2022 at this rate.

Newegg does not have a 2 hour window they cut me off 40 minutes in and refused to fix it. I lost out on a Nice white  3080 4 months ago.  I think it was the strix. BH photo refuses to honor any notifies and Best Buy sold me a pny 3090 took the money said come to the store to pick it up and it was gone. They gave me a refund and a 100 usd gift card.  I had paid 1900 for that card and at the time the card was going for 3800 on ebay.  Frankly while Evga is slow they so far have honored the buys you make far far far far better than  Best Buy, Newegg , BH Photo.

So my 3080ti is supposed to be delivered today! Is my EVGA 850W P2 plenty?

should be i was running my 3090 ftw hybrid with a 850 for a while with no problems then i upgraded to a 1000 watt when i got a 5950x just because i heard that combo tends to add power spikes at random according to some of the tech youtubers i have watched.
