I'm starting to think that at this point, we should just have a FAQ sheet that we can either refer people to or just paste the answers from  Although I'm pretty sure Enewt already has a list of canned responses ready to go because certain pieces of advice he posts seem to be word for word. I'm getting 120 FPS, Ultra settings, at 4K in Chivalry II (locked by engine at 120 FPS) with my 3090. I haven't found a game yet that I can't maintain above 60FPS, Ultra 4K.
3080Ti might be the better "value" option for 4K gaming. 3080 obviously would be the best value option for 4K gaming (although the FPS won't be there) but since it's a dead product (and likely to continue to be dead at this point) - nothing wrong with a 3090, if your budget allows.
You're supposed to be talking me OUT of getting a 3090. I look at the step-up program page pretty much every day but I don't think I should/want to pay over $500 for that performance bump. Lol

But I have 3 HDD, 2 SSD, 2 NVME, an OC 11900K on an Extreme Moboard with 18 RGB fans and 8 LED strips. 
Pics or it didn't happen. (I believe you, I just want to see your rig ) Looks like some surprisingly solid movement for a Monday! May not be hours worth of movement, but looks like a diverse SKU lineup at the very least.

Thanks, bud. I absolutely DON'T need that much VRAM. That was a much better job of talking me down. Lol It's so hard for me not to look at the bigger, better thing and be like "oooh, shiny" regardless of price or value. If you have a decent s'more dessert on the menu, I think you will be fine.
I'll have to steal the secret recipe to those desserts you posted a while back and throw that on the menu. Although stealing your secret recipe makes me 1) Plankton and 2) probably more likely to get murdered..

Depends on what else you have in your rig. Power draw is very similar to the 3090.
When I tested max draw on my rig, I was at 894 watts. But I have 3 HDD, 2 SSD, 2 NVME, an OC 11900K on an Extreme Moboard with 18 RGB fans and 8 LED strips.
It will definitely start and run with an 850 (especially the P2). Once you have it up and running, test your draw with OCCT, HWMonitor or AIDA64. OCCT has an easy Max Power test
Ideally you want to be in that 50%-80% draw range of your PSU for best efficiency. But the P2 is a beast, so probably you're good.
Thanks yeah I have a 5600x and 1 2TB NVME with about 6 fans. It'll probably be just fine. Ditched all my smallest SSDs for 1 larger NVME SSD. I hate managing files and drives. That's sounds like a pretty beastly rig. Must be in a big box for 18fans and lit up! I honestly only wanted a 3080, and I tried a 3070, but there isn't much difference between that and my 1080ti FTW3. If someone wants to trade a 3080 Hybrid for an air cooled 3080ti let me know.

Old photo, taken before I put the Hybrid kit on. I was going to take new glamour shots of the 3 PCs I built (The Utonium for my daughter: "My Computer" for my wife who thinks naming PC's is dumb; and Chemical X) I'll eventually put a custom loop in this.
