I sent EK an email two days ago and am yet to get a reply about my order status (ordered launch-day for the pre-orders). However, they have sent me three emails counting down to their EK Expo.

That's strange. I sent them an email Friday night (well after they were closed) and they responded first thing Monday morning. Have you checked your spam folder?

Yup - nothing. Sent my enquiry (with order number) to&nbsp orders@ekwb.com 

I sent in my request via their support option on their website.

I log in to the EKWB website and go to my account and submit a ticket there - seems to get a response a little faster.

So my block was supposed to arrive today.  But it didn't.  DHL update says "Shipment arrived at incorrect facility. Sent to correct destination".  I have no idea what this means...and there hasn't been an update since.  Delivery estimate says "The Estimated Delivery Date is currently unavailable. Please try again later."  Ugh.

^^ I had a FedEx parcel sent from London, Canada to Sydney, Australia a couple of years ago... it went via Paris (twice!) because they used the country code for Austria (AT) rather than Australia (AU) on the address label.

At least it's stateside and gone through customs it sounds like. Mine arrived a day early and I didn't realize until I left home and found the package. DHL even said I signed for it when they didn't even attempt to notify me. You'll get yours tomorrow I'll bet. Better look out for it since you may not even now it was delivered.

Well since I am stuck in the WFH hell still and have nowhere to go tomorrow, I'll know if they deliver it.  :)

Finally got an update from EK stating my order should ship in 3 to 5 days which is better than the Feb 12 shown against my order.

Got an email from DHL that mine should arrive today.  Woohoo!

Just got a shipment notification for the block and backplate I paid for! Woot woot! Maybe I can get my loop back online sometime in the near future!

No email yet. Am I screwed?

For us with the 3090 FTW3, that active cooling backplate looks mighty nice. I hope they make it for our cards.
 

coming 2026 based on how bad its been just getting the regular ones from EK so far...

Unless they make drastic changes to the PCB layout, active cooling on the back of the PCB will be mainstream for the top tier cards.

It’s up to Nvidia to actually provide reference PCBs sooner than they did with the 3000 series. Although with their FE card being unique and a big hit compared to past FEs, we might have this same situation with the 4000 series.

Meh, ended up giving up on this thing and ordering a Barrow from FormulaMod so I can use the stock FTW3 backplate.

With how hot the stock backplate gets on my 3090 FTW I question how good it actually works. It can obviously pull the heat away but it is so thin for a passive cooler. ICX really should show the backside RAM temps but doesn't unless I am missing something. That Barrow does look nice. Looks a lot like the EK.

Definitely don't trust passive cooling from any backplate anymore, I have a 120mm pointed at the memory part and a 80mm at the vrm part, my build is more like a testbench, but can see how this won't be optimal for a regular tower build.

Works great here. About 5-7C cooler idle and 30C cooler in a flight sim I have, IL2 Great Battles. Looks much better too.....
 
 
 

Looks good. What’s the water temp delta ?

Glad I went with an XC3 as I was able to get a block quickly.
 
Not thrilled that they didn't factor in the inductors and chokes with regard to the cooling but I'll just have to get 5-6mm thermal pads.
