I got my new card today and I am testing it tonight. So far none of the issues that I first experienced such as black screens, oc resets etc. I will keep everyone updated.

glad it all arrived, i cant really comment on the behaviour of the last card, as it wasnt running long enough, but this replacement 'touch wood', seems to behaving itself, ive not overclocked anything, so far all i have done is a custom fan profile.

I have been running stress tests all day on this one through 3d mark and not a single issue. I gamed on it for a few hours last night and none of the first card issues to report. So far so good.

excellent news mate, glad all seems ok.

got myself a 3080 FTW3 and reading about this got me worried. my sn also starts with 20141. Is there a way i can test in a consistent way and post the results here for someone to look at w/ precision/gpu-z/3dmark to ensure my card isn't going to die? kind of worried seeing that i spent quite a bit...

beyond frustrated with EVGA right now. I've now had 2 3090 ftw3 hyrbrids fail on me. Both did the exact same thing. This time I was playing GTA5 for about 5 minutes and the card decided to black screen, fans 100%, followed by a no post. Red light by the pcie connector.  I've been watching these forums and this seems to be a common problem. I've literally owned hundreds of graphics cards(I have a problem) and I have never had so many issues. I have 6 pages of registered cards with EVGA. Maybe I'm just super unlucky .. PRoboably... I know for sure I'm super frustrated.  AFter spending 60 dollars for saturday shipping the last time... lets hope they comp the shipping for me this time. I know I know.. first world problems... but still. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
FYI: Each card has lasted a little less than a month.

First card was a 2014 serial red lips (3090 FTW3 Ultra), lasted a few weeks, multiple black screens before it eventually stopped displaying picture, would power on though, died about a week before xmas. Second card I've just had for 2 weeks died tonight, was a 2012 serial black lips, black screen, but afterwards just had the red light, no power to it at all. Using a RM1000 psu, bought new pcie cables just incase too. Almost all crashes happened whilst either playing GTAV online or FiveM (basically the same thing) never had issues in more intensive games, Cyberpunk ect.

No they didnt, the second card died regardless of the new cables, first card had 2 cables and 1 chained, second had all 3 seperate cables, it still died.

lol @ the cables.. also, I'm sure Evga is aware of the issue, because like some of you have said, it seems like your rma card is refurbished, which means they've fixed cards and repackaged them to be sent out for rma.... Gpus are like cars, when a certain model goes to the shop too many times, the mechanic knows more than likely what's wrong already...

yes, laugh at the attempts to troubleshoot a very expensive card. gg.

Recent RMA replacements that users getting today in theory should be less problematic, but that is not the case. There are ton of users that are reporting todate, that their 2-3rd card " Card Died" again, so doesn't seem like whatever problems EVGA cards had, has been fixed, It seem to be fight agains time.

Read the other threads.  Several people had their cards fail and one of them heard a pop and an "arc" spark, and a 2nd person actually saw FIRE shooting out of the card after the pop, which went away when the system lost power.  
 
The cable was not the problem whatsoever.  Something is frying on the card.

I've read them, I too had a pop. Doesn't mean you shouldn't do basic troubleshooting steps.

Troubleshooting a mass repeated issue is really moot point. I think it was on OCN, guy had 3090FTW3 for good 3 months and he was so happy and wishing everyone else to be as lucky as he was, he came back I thing 1-2 weeks ago "my card died today".
 
What is worse, he got RMA few days ago and yesterday or that was today "Crash to Desktop" with pop and spark.
At this point troubleshooting EVGA cards is useless.

I just shipped my card with serial number starting with 20141 back for rma friday, wasn't getting black screens but no matter what game I played it would crash to desktop within 10-45 mins, $80 shipping so I really, really, hope this gets fixed on the first try.

It's probably a cheap part that keeps dying, and replacing the part with higher quality isn't as cost effective as simply repairing/switching it out... After all, most RMAs evga only pays to have the card ship back to the user...

I think it’s more to it, but that's my suspicion. There is a lot, lots of their cards dying on daily bases and some users are on 2-3rd RMA even today and that is hurting EVGA reputation big time. I for one have been EVGA customer until this time and I highly doubt I would get their card again. They did pick cheap (bare minimum) components they using for their top tear cards! Yahhh..No thanks.
 
I’ve heard their Kingpin also it’s not as good as people might imagine, but that is up to Kingpin owners to judge, not me I only owned 3090FTW3 for 15 min
