Are we getting one? Other MB manufacturers are releasing their updates. I'm going to upgrade another PC in the house with my current CPU, and it be nice to know if I can swap my CPU to one that will be released in a few months.

I can almost guarantee there will be an update for the refresh. At this moment Intel still have not officially confirmed rapter lake refresh but we all know it's happening. I would assume EVGA will have a BIOS update for it at or shortly after Raptor lake refresh launch.

Sorry to bother you about this here Chris, but can we expect the latest AGESA and a BIOS for our X570 EVGA boards at all? It would certainly make a few of us happy to know if theres anything.

are you guys going to keep doing bios updates for these boards afterwards or is that bye bye for the evga mobo division at that point. I just got a z690 dark so i'd appreciate some insight since only one bios update for 14th gen prob could not justify upgrading to 14th gen

Can you please expose tXSDLL? The 2048 value that it defaults to is only compatible with speeds up to 6800 MT/s.

I just got a z690 dark as well for my 13900k and if I think EVGA will keep working on bioses for the raptor lake refresh (as opposed to a single bios release and no further support) then I'll buy a 14900k!

I have a Z690 Classified here and wanted to go back to it for the 14th Gen refresh, but I stuck with my Asus board since it's ready to roll. Hopefully they do indeed release the updated bios at some point.

As I've said in one of the few threads talking about this, when 13th gen came out, they released a BIOS update supporting it on z690 on launch day. This was before any of the "downfall", etc. stuff was really evident and there were no rumors about a BIOS team exodus. So if they release a BIOS for gen14 on launch day, it will not be out of their standard practice. Am I saying that's a great idea? NO! lol, but I am saying it would be the most status quo thing they've done in the last year. Also, there were rapid-fire updates after that first release because they most certainly did not have the bugs out on launch. Sooo...if you're planning on trying 14th gen on an EVGA board...I would advise an extreme level of patience. Just saying.

If it happens it will happen on the launch date which is fine as long as the release is of good quality and well-tested. if it does not happen on the launch day I have no hopes. I never sold my MSI Edge Z690 DDR4 which is already updated to support 14900k.

That way do the whole thing in one go, but super curious about the performance jump.

That way do the whole thing in one go, but super curious about the performance jump.
If you main use is gaming and you play at 4K (or even 1440p likely), I'd wait if you're willing to wait. I went from 12900k to 13900k and saw some improvements at 1440p, but nothing huge in games. I think what was most notable is that my CPU runs cooler to do the same work and the fact that I can OC the 13900k to 6GHz on up to 4 core-loads means that some things actually saw a benefit. I think 14900k from what I've read online seems like it'll be a very small improvement over 13900k...so if you want to go exotic cooling and OC it, you might see some improvement in games. If you want to run it stock, I'd say just stick with what you have, but it does look like whatever intel offers next is still a fairly unknown quantity. I have no idea exactly what or when that will launch or how the performance will be. One thing I'd advise anybody running EVGA boards on is that even if they do release a new BIOS for 14th gen, I would advise patience on launch week(s). It took them several attempts to get a stable BIOS out that ran 13th gen, which took a little while. There were some issues... a few.

And were down to 4 days.
Central Computers confirmed the presale date of October 16th and launch/retail date of October 17th. I am hoping EVGA gets their BIOS out by 16th so I can install it on the 17th when I pick it up from my local Microcenter.

Got a Z690 October 7th, my £560 14900kf Is due to be delivered tomorrow before 1pm. Waiting patiently. I have no other compatible CPU so as you can Imagine I got a lot riding on this bios, I'm sure they'll pull through.
