Improves memory overclocking support for 13th Gen Intel Core Series processors, and bug fixes.

BIOS 2.02 (E699 DARK K|NGP|N / E698 Classified)

  • Improved memory overclocking support for 13th Gen Intel Core Series processors.
  • Various other fixes.

Windows Installation
  • Download the correct .zip file below for your motherboard:
         121-AL-E699-KR - EVGA Z690 DARK K|NGP|N - v2.02
         121-AL-E698-KR - EVGA Z690 CLASSIFIED - v2.02
  • First go into your BIOS and load defaults, save and exit
  • Close all open programs.
  • Go into the folder where you unzipped this package and double-click update.bat
  • Press Y to start the flash process
  • DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE FLASH PROCESS
  • After the flash is finished, the system will automatically shut down. Power on the system again and go into BIOS and adjust settings as needed.
  • NOTE: If flash box immediately closes after flash attempt, the flash may need to be run from a CMD prompt with administrator privileges or DOS version.

BIOS Installation
  • Extract the contents of .zip file to USB flash drive (must be formatted as FAT32)
  • Reboot the machine and go into the system BIOS
  • From the BIOS, navigate to the EXTRAS tab at the upper left and click on "BIOS Update"
  • Select the .bin file you wish to flash.

Please let me know if anyone runs into problems with this update.  Thanks!

Also, earlier BIOS files for each board can be found on our Download Center.

Thanks y’all. Appreciate the fast turnaround

Any chance there’s an updated Eleet to go with this? Or should it work once we flash

Didn't hear anything about a fix for Eleet X1 yet.  I don't think BIOS and Eleet X1 were intended to be on the same schedule for this release, but the team is aware that people can't use it currently.

Flashed to 2.02 in Windows. Still seeing the same issue with my 4090 FE and 13700K. I don't see the BIOS screen. I get "no signal" on my display until I get to the Windows login screen.

Flashed. 7400 CL34 1.435v with A-Die booted right up, fastest training I've seen on this board. Nice! Will update when I find how far it will go now.

Not exactly related to this release - but for those of you with A-die, how are your ram temps under load? Do y'all use fans (or water cooling) for your dimms?

it runs warmer than usual but my sticks have no heatsinks. i do use 1-3 fans depending on the bench. ran them naked for the LN2 session the other day, no issues that weren't already present w 2.01 mems

Thanks. Honestly that's what's preventing me from getting a-die. Im using an open air case with a MORA rad so I don't have high airflow on my dimms.

So what's the best way to try to recover when you are totally bricked?  Just try flashing the same bios again, flash 2.01 in another bios position that worked before?

By using the USB drive and flash button on the back? Which bios? I just tried reflashing 2.02. Same result. Then I tried 2.01, but all I get is code E4.

Dang guys sorry to hear that you're having issues. Did you make sure you set BIOS to defaults first? I flashed from within Windows, extracted file, Ran batch as Admin and it flashed as usual. Reboot and it posted no issue.

I have both. Just booted back up on my 12900k. Flashed another bios position to 2.01 and its working again. Yes I had cleared CMOS the first time. 2nd time from the bios flash button it was obviously impossible.

2.02 just indicates there is no RAM in the machine or its defective. That's a real improvement. Dumpster fire.
