Could you happen to patch the z690 classified‘s 2.12 bios as well? Could I extract that patch and inject it myself and that would theoretically work?

This did not work. This waxxxed my BIOS. I had to use backup BIOS with old BIOS and a G7400 to post and able to recover 2.13 to all of them.

At this point I am giving up on EVGA. I can't believe I ever liked or supported this company. My Z690 Dark will likely never get full support of 14th gen or new APO feature. I've personally tested APO on my Z790 Apex and it's actually a pretty neat feature that will likely get future support from Intel. EVGA will likely never publish a BIOS for Intel DTT nor a driver. It's also extremely unlikely they will provide the continued updates or drivers that may or may not be required, thinking along the lines of a feature like ReBar, or possible issues with new video cards. At this point I'm ripping the board out, grabbing an Encore Apex at Microcenter and trying to get some money out of this board. GG boys and girls, this company is a shell of what it once was.

No other CPU than 14900K/F currently "partially works" on Z690 and Z790 boards. I don't recommend running unsupported CPUs in these motherboards, it's just asking for trouble.

They are still working on it, right? And hopefully for this year?

I put the 14900k in my z690 dark and it showed up as 14900k in bios and HWinfo. I enabled XMP on my 2x16 corsair vengeance 6200 kit. I used OC ROBOT for the first time and despite it saying "non-OC cpu detected" it completed the stress test and offered a 5ghz OC which I accepted. I ran cinebench r23 multicore and only scored 37,000 but I think I have a bad mount on my waterblock. Anyway it survived a 30minute r23 test and now I'm gaming without any crashes. So... seems fine? I do wish I had an easy 6.2GHz button though...

The funny part is that, there is NO developers left at EVGA motherboard divison. EVGA is done. No more new BIOSes or other products in general, what remains is support staff to handle does RMAs/warranties that they are obligated to do, before Andrew Han completely shuts down the company.

Does anyone think its worth going to the 13900KS from a 12900k? All I’ve been looking at are FPS differences, and it’s not a whole lot. For double the $ I’m liable to get 2x-4x the performance in fps from a 4080 from what I’d get from the KS.

Just thinking in the future with new video cards if we will have the same issue like with the 4090 FE that didn't show display without a newer BIOS....In that case we are SOL.
