eVGA GeForce GTX LAN BOX
Here I am going to start building itx modding, it would be my first time modding with itx. Since I've been attending PDXLAN, Lanfest, and several lan, it became more difficult to carry those huge, heavy and even fragile glass and wooden case to lan. So I decided to go with small itx case. My goal is building itx case which makes it looking like eVGA GeForce GTX 690 card. Front case will look like this,

Here's a picture of Lian Li TU-PC200a silver itx case and eVGA GEFORCE GTX 690.
Just placed an order on the full swiftech watercooling loop and am going to order evga itx z77 Stinger and evga 750w next week. Im expecting to get all of the parts together and ready to use by next weekend.

I love that case! this will be an awesome little lan box for sure. Lian-Li sure does make some amazing cases. I'll never go back to any other brand for my primary. make sure you get some good build up shots!

Looking forward to seeing it.  Love the case.  I'll have my mini-ITX projects pics up shortly.  Just to give you some comparison, the ASRock ITX board has built in Wi-Fi and MSATA for 150.

Been really enjoying Thanksgiving with family yesterday and black friday today. I decided not go out shopping for black friday, there's online store :). Today I started some work by cutting 140mm holes on front of case and then added MNPCTECH overkill "Ring" 140mm fan grill on it.
    Inside of case with beer.
Here's MNPCTECH Overkill "Ring" 140mm fan grill silver.
Put ring on the front case and mark circle for cut it off

Took front fan mount off from case
Put some car putty on each corner
Rough cut front cirle off and getting ready to smooth router for 140mm fan
Done with cutting and put MNPCTECH fan grill on to test it out.
Just got package from Swiftech today.
    Full watercooling from swiftech!
Will start painting and some more work this weekend, also supposed to get all of hardware ready by this Tuesday!

Thats cool. Where did you get that? That has got to be the most portable case I seen for a LAN event.

Just out of curiosity, have you booted this thing up yet? There's an ongoing confusion/discussion as to whether or not you can run a dual GPU card on an ITX motherboard. Does it work?

I don't see why you couldn't run a dual GPU card in a Z77 ITX.  The Chipset has all of the lanes to do so at full 3.0 spec provided you have the CPU for it (Ivy Bridge CPUs) and even the older sandy CPUs will do full 2.0 spec.  EVGA is known for not filling the boards up with fluff controllers and addons that eat up the CPU's lanes so there should actually be a surplus I would think on the Stinger.  Another thing is that the SLI connection and controller is all handled on the card itself  typically so you wouldn't have to worry about that.

Nice rig!  Looking forward to the final result!

Finally back to modding project, been really busy lately. Last time I intended to complete it by
November for Intel LanFest but then I realized there was no time :( Now this time I'm hoping to
get it done by next weekend for PDXLAN.com.
Since it ran out of time and doesn't have time to modding for lanfest last November so I decided
to buy LianLi itx benchmark system to test it out just for temporary and loving it! Here's some
pictures of all hardware build up on benchmark system.
Here Lian Li itx benchmark system

    Intel i5 3570k and GSkill 8gb 2x4gb 2400mhz arrived
    eVGA GTX 690 backplate installed

    It's all ready for lanfest!

    At Intel Lanfest.

After I got home and decided to order evga cpu cooler to overclocking and play around with it.
I ran some test with 3dmark and 3dmark11, the score turned out pretty good for itx motherboard! So
far I've pulled cpu to 4.7ghz with 1.22vcore but wouldn't let me oc ram to 1867 and 2133 so I
decided to leave ram as default. Ram will work oc, seems like if I don't oc on cpu, looks like
there's kind of bios issues. Guess I will have to wait for better bios. Here's 3dmark score
    results http://www.3dmark.com/fs/78173, and 3dmark11 score http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/5840051.
idle temp around 30, and load temp around 60 average but goes up to 90 while running
intelburntest. It's pretty high temp, hopefully watercooling helps a lot!

Now it's time to get back to work on project for lan weekend!
Working on the side of case with carbon fiber vinyl and nvidia logo.
    Working on 140mm fan.
Remove the washer on back of fan

Remove fan fin and now ready to cut it.

Cut 1/2 off the fan case.

    Perfect fit!

Now working on resvoir add "GEFORCE GTX" logo on front of DD resvoir bay.
Wrinkle black spray on front resvoir.

    Done with resvoir.
I got case back from powder coating and the front case, it looked so awful with melting on hole area from jb-weld!
I've learn something better putty for powdercoat, they sugguest me get Hi-Temp Lab-Metal here
I had to order new front part!

But the overkill ring ended up looking good with wrinkle black.
After recieving the other front case back and it looks much better than before!
    comparing to before powder coating.

some more pictures after powdercoating metallic.
Let's build all together!watercooling!Add GTX 690, it fits perfectly!

It's all ready to go for lan weekend!

Now I got the set ready but there's one more thing is small aluminum circle placing on middle front of 140mm fan as same as GTX 690's fan, would need to find one or make one.
Thanks for looking! I will post some more pictures at LAN.

That's a wicked looking build!  I always like seeing these little builds, seeing how much power someone can cram into such a small space.  It's also somewhat frightening to see a GPU that's nearly bigger than the board it's plugged into.
