alpharius194 Mine is 2040mhz from what I can gather. My cyberpunk stable OC for auto NV and a small bump in FB and MS is 2130mhz at +90. But precision X1 is also telling me at +90 it should hit 2145 instead... so there's that.
Cadillac94pimpin In Cyberpunk it's about 2025-2040 it moves around a little.
Perfect, that's about what I run now with an OC/undervolt at 2040/1000mV - should make for some easy base vs base comparisons.

I can't even get the card to run well without the classified tool, let alone with it. Not concerned with my scores right now I'm just trying to get a clean run without hitting percap PL limits on stock settings. *Edit - My 2080Ti Kingpin was great, this thing has just been a headache so far.

http://www.3dmark.com/pr/732026 My question is why am I hitting Power Limit here? I am completely open to the possibility I'm just not understanding why, and that this is "normal". I've just yet to have someone give me an explanation.

It will say power limit, but continue to draw power. After using the classified tool, I was at 500-530W. Before that, it was right around where you are now.

It should not report Power Limit until I hit 520W though? Why is it reporting Power Limit at ~465W ~110% TDP? It's confusing... I don't care about the numbers, I care that it's telling me I'm hitting a Power Limit with ~50W of headroom still left to use. I'm convinced there's something wrong w/ the bios or I am completely misunderstanding what's going on.

It's normal. Why? Because protections are bulit into the three normal vbios that the card ships with. You want no pwr throttle you run xoc 1000w vbios. :)

I was hoping you'd chime in, cheers. So the solution is to void my warranty? That's not exactly the answer I was hoping for.

Lol. Guess you'll be sticking to the LN2 vbios then. ;) Note: The 1000w xoc vbios has been made public, so evga wouldn't know if you ever loaded it to the card as long as you flash it back before sending it in. Yep, that is right you don't have to give them your serial number and full name any longer to get it.

I don't really want to risk it, don't think my card is a lottery winner anyway based on my core clocks. How many points you think I'm losing on this old x79/4930k/ddr3 rig? I'd be happy to break 15k on the new rig with stock voltage/ln2 bios. I'm jealous of those breaking well into 15k with stock voltage/bios!

Wow that's a golden chip right there brother... thanks for rubbing it in! But seriously, nice card... enjoy it Mine maxes out +100 to +125 on the core for ~2130mhz clocks. Pretty weak example, many lesser cards on air can do similar. I'll be sending her back for RMA anyways, not sure I'll ask for a replacement though. Cheers 🍻

So under the 1000w bios, the card will just pull the power required based on clock speed and classified voltages? I'm not trying to go much above 600-650w until someone bothers releasing a water block, so I don't want to blow past my mark if I use my original classified profile from my benchmark. I was at 1.156/1.050 LL 3 for both

johnksss I suspect RMA is not going to help you in your case.... I just booted my 4930K/Rampage IV Extreme with Kingpin 3090 and can see exactly why it's throttling. 520W Vbios https://www.3dmark.com/co...67/pr/734442/pr/734407
4th run was 14.8k
What offsets were you running on those 4930k runs? Are you toying with v/f curve in any of these stock runs you've posted or just throwing the sliders to the right and applying offsets? You think the more modern rig will allow for higher actual clock speeds or just higher scores in general? My core seems pretty weak based on others posted here. That wouldn't be the reason for RMA, though.

Offsets aren't the issue at first, it's the voltage. The card is drawing too much and you need to turn it down just a tad. I think your card might be a decent one, but on that rig you will never know. I was able to get up to +180/+1200. On stock voltage i was able to run +150/1000, but that is pushing it as the stock FBVDD is pulling way to much. So it needs to be lowered just a tad. You do not need to mess with other voltages, but as you get to the 150 range and higher, you need to move only the nvvdd voltage on classy. Heck, even setting 1.1125 NVVDD is enough to help. Anything above 1.150 NVVDD seems useless unless you get the card really cold. You also need to turn these on in the card's display so you can actually see what is going on. When I did the first run I noticed the card flashing red from time to time. I record the screen and found it said it was pulling too much FBVDD voltage 1.575+ is to high and the card shuts off or black screens or reboots the computer or flat out throttles hard, but not enough and you get little tiny blocks on screen and card crashes. In this case some green is not that bad, but solid is an issue. That's what I got with 1.2 NVVDD. No crash, but solid green and 536W with an average of 525W+. And score was 14.8+. 1K bios is useless with this board. unless your card is running really really cold. Edit: This was on a crappy gaming OS with everything loaded up and 80F room temps. I just exited out of stuff to see if it would help the bench run better.

Alright last question, for now... I saw on the FTW3 the bios is flashed over one of their two options. Does the xoc bios for KPE go over only one of the three choices or will i need to reflash the whole gpu to return stock settings? I'm hoping I can just go over the ln2 bios and save the oc bios for gaming. (I don't mind using classified for gaming but cyberpunk hates when I forget to set the voltages correctly on startup)

Wherever you flash the bios to is the only position that will get changed.

Awesome thanks for all the info, just did not want to assume anything with a $2000 card and the 30series stock as low as it is.

Got slightly colder last night in SoCal and was able to beat my previous score. http://www.3dmark.com/pr/740477 Don't think I can push it much farther without some lower temps to keep the clock speeds up. Getting glitchy/unstable at higher clocks trying to compensate.

Nice work!!! It's going to be cooler this weekend here in South Florida. I just can't easily get my rig to a window lol. I was seeing some of those Green artifacts that were mentioned by John and when I added voltage, they went away and allowed me to get the mem higher but did increase temps. Matter of fact, my highest score so far... (Just under 15,080) was with some green artifacts and also happened to have the highest average temp of any run. Definitely a fine line between temp, voltage and clock speed. I want to try and lower the the voltage on memory like John mentioned as well because those extra few degrees is what lowers the AVG clock speed for me. My ambient is usually around 21c but if I open all the windows and do some late night runs, I think I can get it down to 19-20.
