I have a question for the group, highest i have been able to get on PR is 14,871 on the stock LN2 BIOS that came on the card. I maxed all fans, 13 of them, and set my Power/GPU Temp slider to right, maxed the GPU Voltage slider and did a +175 on GPU Clock and +1200 on Memory. Temp was 47c during test. Just ambient temp in my room, its around 70f in my room. Is there a separate BIOS that is valid to use? Like does the 3090 XOC bios on the forums work on the KPE? Or is the only other BIOS the one you need to email Vince with name and SN?
Also, i don't have an OC on my CPU, I just run the High Performace power setting so it boosts my 10900k to around 5.0 ... would an OC help? I just want to hit 15k to see if i can, and call it a day lol.
https://www.3dmark.com/pr/690070
Thanks

You will get more from OCing your cpu up to about 5.3 ghz.

I didn't know that, and this comment under one of his scores also left me dumbfounded - "LN2 & LN2 Pots are for dinosaurs... pumping a certain liquid under pressure is the way to go. 1000W XOC Bios, with extensive hardware modifications on an ASUS STRIX. Less is more :)"

Alright, let's go back to legit scores on our KP's.

Should only be FTW3 blocks from optimus for now.

Great score: Zeddivile ! How cold was the card running and do you think you can push it some more.

mem can be pushed a lot farther

Should be able to get another 250mhz out of the core and 200+ out of mem.  I was on the new mini ln2 pot and struggled. Practice makes perfect.

Coming soon from optimus means 6 delays and in about a year will start sending them out.

My concern as well.  I'll probably end up getting an HC block (if they offer them), then replace it with an Optimus block, should one ever be produced.

Guys, so x1 power slider I'm only getting 105 max on ln2 bios... nvidia smi shows max 449W too :/ that's not supposed to happen right? How do I fix this?

(1) Uninstall Precision X1 and reinstall. (2) If that doesn't work, uninstall Precision X1 again and DDU the NVidia drivers. Then reinstall the NVidia drivers and Precision X1 again.

Anytime you make a change on the card hardware step 2 should be taken above anyway.

I switched to Afterburner and it solved all of my power draw issues and immediately raised my scores to consistently stay above 15K. I recommend retiring Precision X1 until they fix the software.

Use afterburner for clock control and the Classified tool for voltage?

That’s what I would do, although I haven’t tweaked my voltages beyond stock yet. He was saying that his Precision X1 power slider wasn’t allowing him to tap into the full stock LN2 BIOS 520W power limit of his card. That same thing was happening to me until I switched to Afterburner and got about 150-250 more points in PR on repeated runs. There’s something about Precision that’s suppressing the power limit on that BIOS, at least for me.

Gotcha.  I haven't had a problem with power draw, but I've been playing with the XOC bios.  Power slider doesn't do anything.  Was pulling about 600+ with that bios.

+1,000 memory only?  No GPU/Voltage/Power/Bios tweaking?  That's a nice score.  Optimus waterblock?

yes optimus. loving the results so far!
I have it running the 520w bios. No voltage mods are available for the ftw3 unfortunately there is no header and its all analog so im stuck at 1.1v max

Very nice.  Was only able to get my KPE card to 15,300 with 1.25V and pulling near 700W.  Thermals were starting to bring down the clocks, so looking forward to someone, anyone, releasing a block for the card.  Don't have the cojones for LN2.  Though I have been eyeing chillers...

yes correct. with 520w bios
otherwise the bios wouldnt work properly on this card

thats also a testament to the quality of this block to easily handle this heat load

not sure exactly how much of a difference the LM is making but my core temps are phenomenal. although, ppl say they usually only see about 2C better with the LM.
I need more testing but i just got the block last night

I would rather shunt than use a 1000w bios that disables internal temp monitoring which is dangerous. I've read of some ppl who already fried their 3090 cards using such a bios

That seems about right range 1-4c difference.
