Card back in intel machine with ducted AC. Gained a little. Wish I had a better binned card.
Maybe a few more points to be had with increasing MEM voltage (never touched it yet).

Hello, First post for me. I could use some help getting into the 15000's.

After about 10-12 hours over the course of 3 days of overclocking the rig I seem to be hitting a wall. I cant get past 125+ core clock and 1300+ memory clock with LN2 Bios. I have not used the classified tool and dont know what it is.

5950x (stock clock) | Asus Dark Hero | Trident Royal 4000mhz (cant hit 4000 yet so 3600mhz 16-16-16-36 @ 1.4v)

Kingpin 3090 - Highest score is a 14728 with LN2 Bios - Windows 10 64bit pro - 1920x1080 - Single Monitor - Everything closed in system tray - Nvidia Drivers 461.09 - MSI AB 4.6.3 Beta - I also have my window open - 40 degree outside - small 7" fan blowing on my kingpin radiator - Radiator in a push @ 100% fan speed - I've seen temps in AB get to 10 degree before starting.

Here i will link other scores. Usually anything over 125+ on the core clock it just fails 75% of the time. Very rarely can i get one off but they always have lower scores. Multiple restarts and adjusting settings.

You'll need the classified tool most likely to push the core harder without crashing. It's a simple tool that allows you to move sliders similar to PX1 or MSIAB and increase voltage to different power controllers in the card (for mem, core, etc). I have a limited understanding of this myself, but there have been posts here and also on overclock .net about it and where to start.

One more line item down on gpu-z shows the "limit" reason, which would be helpful to see, but its probably limited due to voltage constraints. A good place to start would be changing your NVVDD to 1.125 in the classified controller and try it again. Others here will surely chime in with more detailed information, but when I did this, I was hitting 15k+. Good luck!

Edit: I'm also seeing some of these runs with the PL at 111%. That's another issue. I did see a run with the 120% which is correct, as I believe its 120.9% but MSIAB doesn't round as PX1 does.

I have had a new high score with messing around. I did notice the 111 on the power. I put it to max 120. I also was able to get 50 more out of the memory. 1350mhz is max. It crashes at 1400mhz.

14880  +120 core +1350 Memory

Once I increase the GPU core clock to 135 it will do around 1m 20s of the Port Royal. It seems to crash as soon as the GPU core clock tries to hit 2200mhz. It will hold 2175mhz and 2190mhz throughout the test but crash as soon as it goes up one tick to 2200mhz.

Hi , Can you explain how to get the classified tool? I cant seem to find anything on where to download it, presuming that is the name of the tool. I also was wondering if there is a tutorial out there explaining how to use the tool and how to change the NVVDD as you suggested.

A little bit more, Card does a bit better than I thought, Core drop as I am hitting power limit now with LN2 bios.
I removed the duct to rad and just let the the AC blow in the direction of the entire system.

Thanks ! Kingpin is  running 22c on average + above Ultra with waterblock and holding both cards back . If I had a Optimus block for Kingpin It  would help a bunch.  By the time they have blocks it will be summer. Thanks for all your help sparetimepc and if you have any information  to catch #5 HOF that you would like to share. He's running same rig and he know more then I do. He has found a sweet spot I can't find.

so im hearing resizable bar will require a vbios update.
Thats very unfortunate for those using the 1000w bios. You will be forced to choose between 520w + RB or 1000w

14914 seems to be the peak of my card or my ability. This is with outside temp of 30F. Anything over 140+ core would just have diminishing returns no matter the NVVDD FBVDD MSVDD sliders positioning. Same with Mem+.

It seems ambient temp inside my house which is around 70 i am limited to 120 Core and 1300 Mem. I get a bin or two outside with temps it seems.

Anyone care to validate me results and conclusion?

What VBIOS are you using?  What's limiting in your runs, voltage or power?

I am using the LN2 Bios built into the card.

This was my Highest score run.

I increased the NVVDD and FBVDD here on this run to get some more power draw and it made the score go down. I also tried switching from AB to X1 and there was no difference really. Just wanted to rule one or the other out.

I've been looking around in the forums but can't seem to find an answer but does the classified tool void your warranty?

I got the same score with both X1 and AB. I believe it comes down to personal preference on which one you use.

15,301 is the best I could do with the LN2 BIOS yesterday.

Was thinking of trying the XOC bios.

I was wondering if anyone who has ran both, were you able to achieve your base LN2 score with the XOC?
I seem to remember with the 2080TI KP that base scores were a bit lower because the XOC loosened memory timings?

It's nice to see the kingpin adoption going through. I remember a month after 3090 release a score of 15,000 would land you in the to 10

Now, 15,600 wont even get you in the top 50

would love to see someone here crack 16k

Good question, as I recall some variation across different BIOS with my 2080 Ti.

Hi everyone!

I am new to overclocking with a KP card, currently using LN2 BIOS to run some test. Would anyone mind to give me some advice to get the most of this card?

Have to ask Vince for XOC BIOS (a.k.a BIOS 1000W) through email, right?

AFAIK there is a tool called Classified Tools, which allows user to control voltages and other parameters, where could I find latest version of this tool?

After that, Should I use Precision X1 to control clocks?

I came from overclocking a Titan Xp for a while, and I used MSI AfterBurner to change frequency curve, so would like to learn how to do this in PX1.
At the moment, I ran 3DMark Fire Strike and could not get pass 470W (520W BIOS), MEM = ~11000MHZ, Core= 2150-2160

Is this what should I expect?

I will buy Port Royal today so I will provide more info.

Best,
Nikos / Miguel

You can go to TechPowerUp, 1000W BIOS is on it.

Installed my card last night, and with minimal tinkering got to 15,216 at 2190/1394. PC was in the window when outside temps were 29F (~ -2C). The plan is to dial things in this weekend when it will be much colder. Edit: ln2 bios, no classified.

it certainly helps
Not nearly as important as the core clock though

can you please post a link of the run? perhaps i can look at it and see where u might be underperforming and why
