As a reference point, I ordered Satin Nickel finish, Pro-XE Nickel cold plate, July 29, 2021 05:40AM, Order 5223, and it was shipped out Dec 23.  If you really want to be tracking to get an idea of what's been ordered and when, we could start a spreadsheet similar to newts for 30-series tracking.

How’s the cerakote quality on yours? I’ve seen a black version that had run drip marks. I hope when mine comes it doesn’t have that issue. I ordered satin nickel also.

My KP block also had a few small drip marks but it wasn't on the face side so they are hardly noticeable and wont be once installed.  My white 3090 white block came in with no drips.  
 
Good to see shipments maybe picking up a bit.

It looks like white blocks will ship far later than black.
 

Does your order show matte white? Maybe they never got your request? I’m saying this because they don’t anything to reply back confirming your color choice.

 Hmm interesting, so someone at 5270 got shipping notification, so it’s probably black or nickel finish. Doesn’t look like cold plate matter

It seems that color has had a bigger impact on release than the order number.  This was what I was seeing when I was still waiting on my KP block.  Initially it looked like black blocks were the first to be released.  My silver cerakote block with nickel cold plate was order 5213 and mines was shipped out after a few other blacks and whites.  Early actual pictures of the blocks or assemblies was only blacks, and then someone posted a picture of a white one online.  Mines didn't get shipped out until about the 3rd or 4th week after actual shipping had started.  
 
I agree that I would email them first on the impacts of changing color from white to black before you make the change if you really wanted white.  If it doesn't matter, then I'd take another look at both.  Based on what I've seen so far, the black or white seem like the color to get as the silver that I got seems to look like an off white at most angles.  I kinda miss the old polished nickel finish of the entire block like they used to do.

Lol.  I don't think anyone knew this.  Just another example of their lack of transparency and general communication.

Good to see you checked on the possible impacts and sharing the info for other users to consider.  TBH, the black looks pretty good from the pictures I've seen.  I have the silver and I am kinda disappointed in my choice.  It is very much like a matte finish, but I made the choice so I really can't place that on Optimus.  To me, the black looks very stealth like and different than anything out there.  The white looks great but I would like to see how the white holds up when you use colored coolants.  With the textured cerakote finish will it have colored build up on the finish due it's textured nature?  The white does pop though as I have the 3090 block waiting for me to have time to convert my son's 3080 and get it into the loop.  I use clear coolants so I'm not going to be able to gauge how the build up of colored coolant might be on the white though.  

 
It looks like you didn't see the photos on their twitter when they introduced cerakote.The silver block looks rough and a bit grey on the photo,so I only made choice between white and black.At last I choosed white because I wanted to make a white build.
I'm sure colored coolants can make the white blocks prettier,but you have to consider that using colored coolants will shorten your maintenance cycle.The micro waterway OPTIMUSPC designed is very hard to clear and easy to be blocked.Even they said cerakote has extreme chemicle resistance,you still have to avoid blockage.If you don't care about this,I think EKWB's mystic fog with an argb strip will be the best match for the white.
 

When we were pre-ordering the blocks I looked at the photos but thought it looked silver enough since I have a dark theme and wasn't at the time sold on a block block yet.  Went with the silver, but in person it looks like a flat off white from certain angles.  The blacks from the photos people have shared look even better and it kinda grew on me after the fact.  I think if I order anything else where a black block can be used or if I do a new build I'm going with the black next.  
 
The micro channel issues is also something i went through initially with my build as I did use the Mystic Fog to run through my system after I cycled the loop.  I used the concentrate, but it didn't work for me.  The coolant was great when I put it into the loop and gave the appearance I was hoping to have, but after a couple of weeks I noticed that the coolant had turned somewhat clear with a very light white murky tone to it.  Looked at my blocks and there was a bunch of sediment in it clogging the microfins of both the cpu and gpu blocks.  I had to take apart my entire loop to flush the rads and pump/res combo along with taking apart both blocks to clean out the microfins and channels.  I did research before going into this, but I thought it was worth a chance.  I've read others have had good results with it, so it either could have been a bad batch that I got or I should have kept the coolant that I mixed from concentrate separated a bit longer outside the loop.  If I do try it again, I'm going to try the premix.  I've been using the clear premixed cryofuel and it's worked fine with no buildup in the loop for over 6 months now.  I've been putting off changing the fluid because of work being done at my house.  As soon as the contractors are done, the KP with Optimus block will be going into my pc along with a new fill of the clear cryofuel.  
 
I'm not too worried about the cerakote finish wearing off prematurely yet.  I have experience with other things with a cerakote finish and if applied correctly they have endured years of use without much issues.  The concern I have is about the textured finish providing additional surface areas for bacteria to adhere to and grow.  With the finish being white, it will stand out more if you have any growth on the block itself but time will tell for those with a white block to see any impact the textured finish might have.  I bought a white 3090 block for my son's pc which will be worked on as soon as I'm done with mines so I will be looking at that to see if there is any impact that I need to keep an eye on.

I would suggest you getting in the EVGA queue for hydro copper kit if you haven't placed a preorder for the optimus one at some point last year. The gain in cooling is not worth the wait or the worst customer service I've ever dealt with.

I posted somewhere else in the forums, but, in brief, in my experience, the optimus block results in much lower temperature deltas than the hydrocopper. I'd say 7-10C at least. Probably more if I actually recorded numbers.

Optimus needs to go back to nickel plating. I want a nickel plated block.

I tried every which way to get my KP block in original nickel and was told no.

There is no Queue for the Hydro Copper waterblock.  You can sign up to be notified when its in stock, however there is no longer a queue for that specific part.  
I signed up to be notified and by the time I received the email, they were sold out.
