Website crashed and has been basically unusable for ~10 minutes or so. I guess more cards came in stock?

According to Twitter, they sold out. The site was down the entire time for me and I was refreshing it constantly. Sigh..

Yep, cue "aaand they're gone". I was able to see an add to cart button a couple of times, but lead to an error page each time. Refreshed, nothing in cart, etc.

Not sure how people are ordering when the site is constantly down.

Pretty frustrating seeing as both times I've had a card in my cart but once entering payment information site crashes, I get booted, and the items are removed from my cart.

Seriously, how can orders go through like this?

I had one in my cart, was going through the process but then the website crashed, and then when I finally managed to reconnect it was gone from my cart and it was sold out.

I grabbed one, but I saw Jacob's tweet and had to F5 vigorously, and jump through lots of crashes and errors on my way to submit the order.

I have no idea what was in stock, I kept trying to get the FTW3 Ultra to show up and got the "Oops. EVGA Server seems to be having technical difficulties".

SIGH.............

Now on to another four or five days of seeing everyone post about it =]

I mean, this is kind of nuts. It's not the end of the world not getting the card right now but I don't believe that it couldn't be bots. I don't see any change being made to keep this from happening in comparison to launch day so how can we not believe that any effort has been made to fix the issue?

You guys really don't care if the one's buying 'em all up are just scalping them on ebay?

Website was down for me before his tweet went out.
Edit: But yeah, I don’t really understand the point of tweeting it when they're going to sell out in minutes anyway. Why bring more traffic to the website when it's abundantly clear it can't handle it?

I don't use Twitter. I don't even follow stuff on there. I literally happened to be on the site and had 2 tabs open for it; the 3080 product list page and the forum page. I just happened to hit F5 and it started endlessly loading and I started laughing thinking... oh here it goes, I'm already here but the bots will somehow load it faster than me haha. Got it in cart, then it was out of stock.
