I Know Nothing so I am passing this on to those that do.

This comment was taken from the maker of the following video.

"TLDR; I spent more than an hour repairing this laptop only to discover it had a corrupted BIOS. I am seeing more and more of this type of issue because Microsoft is now pushing out BIOS firmware updates with its driver updates. The only way that I have found to stop this issue is to disable optional updates or, better yet, check and update your BIOS firmware yourself every couple of months to prevent one from being pushed to your laptop when you are not ready for it."

Is there a way to prevent Windows from trying to update my Bios?

the MB - BIOS should have the ability to not allow any auto updates (disable updates), or just password protect the BIOS is another option (don't forget the password, if it is a firmware level lock you will need it)

--> malware has been known to do "bad things to BIOS" .... that is why you want updates to BIOS disabled

News to me that Microsoft is pushing BIOS updates; though I've seen them "push you to update your BIOS, to stop malware"
you have to wonder if these laptops have some BIOS setting for "auto update" .... seems to be mostly laptop users complaining, as far as my web search showed

Forced updates are asinine...I still think they should stop doing that.

Many BIOs have safety features to prevent overwrite.

Well something mysterious has happen to one of my computers.
I had a demand screen from windows about deciding which operating system I was going to run.
10 or 11 and since I didn't have an option to close it or remind me later I used Task Manager to end it.
    Worked fine...
12 hours later it was gone on my network and will not post.

They’ve been nagging me to update win11 rigs to 24H2 for a over a week now…
Do you have a backup image made prior to that, Joe?

    Oh Yeah
    I have backup.
Problem is computer will not POST!
No problem beeps, no problem lights.
Turn the power supply on, the mobo power led & rgb lights up.
power on button pushed all fans fire up ...No beeps..no problem leds..no display.
I tested it, each time, I removed wires and hardware connected to the board
(Not in the following order, cmos stuff was first)
Changed PSU,HDD, NVME, RAM, CPU, Frt connector, case fans, cpu fans..changed cmos battery..cleared cmos

While posting if it has a problem with something it has 4 separate indicator lights and beep codes to give you clues
Nada thing is displayed or beeped.

HERE IS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT SHOULD BE HAPPENING WHEN THE ASUS Z270 A IS NOT POSTING

My Prime Z270 A and i7 7700K are unique in my equipment.
I don't have any other computers that are compatible to the cpu and mobo.
    All others running i7 9700K.
All mobo's don't have i7 7700k on their compatibility list.

    One point I should mention.
If the cpu was removed (mem out too) the fans would not fire up if the mobo power on button was pushed.
CPU installed fans fire up if Power on button on mobo was pushed.

Here is how to stop Windows Update from Changing Bios and drivers.
    https://www.google.com/se...ows+updating+your+bios
Slight adjustment in the AI Instructions
When you enter the Windows Update Folder look for
"Do not include drivers with Windows Update"
And Double click it, enable, Apply, OK...
The following didn't exist on my computer.
Open Manage updates offered from Windows Update
Those running Win 10 home might need to try these...
