MasterMiner
Unless you absolutly must own a high end gpu for professional reasons, in which case Titan Xp or Titan V is your card, my humble recommendation is to ignore the daily stock reports and pay not a single penny over original msrp.

This is tech. Prices go down. The ROR for mining is going to nil and paying $1300-$1500 for a gaming gpu on a 1+ year old platform? I mean, if you truly have that type of $$$ go for it. But there will be a better, faster cheaper card in a few months.

The sane thing to do is wait it out. Just my $0.02

MasterMiner is telling folks to wait. Seems legit.

Sometimes there's justice, sometimes there's just us.

Don't the better faster cheaper cards get announced in a few months, then slowly trickle in at higher than MSRP for a few months and then finally start shipping in enough quantity to make them available at MSRP... but we'll still have some miners chomping at the bit to get newer, computer powerful, fancy pants cards then.. because they will still be more efficient than these cards are at mining Etherium?

So we could easily be waiting for 6 months just to find out that we will have to be waiting another six months ;-)

yeah but at what price?  .ca has them at 1300 ish.  819 us is cheaper when you factor exchange rates.

But then again.... no stock :(

I mean, the truth is, it's none of any manufacturers business what their customers do with their purchased GPU's. Either they are creating imaginary worlds in a game, real content in a video or streaming (marginally real content I suppose ;-), 3D design of real or imagined products or imaginary money. Why are Miners less worthy of the cards than anyone else?

Wait! What am I saying?

Please disregard this post! It was an ill-conceived attempt to raise my post status. ;-)

I think the other problem for me is that I'm drawn to double rather than 2.5 or 3 slot cards. they seem more elegant and better designed because more air can get to the fans for intake than if you have a 2.5 card seated next to another card.

I guess I should check my case/mother board space before I place an order for a new card of either the FTW3 or the SC2 as they are pretty large right?

You guys are all at dinner so I'm just going to post something about how my Kitten will love have a new, improved heat source installed in my case. Maybe a new, top secret EVGA 1080 Ti Thermotastic BTU Blaster. Oh wait, that would be the AMD VEGA 64 Global Warmer or Elite Competition VEGA 64 BreakerBreaker.

At this rate, I'll not be Elite until sometime tomorrow. Ugh. It's so hard being special!

you do realize this doesn't guarantee a card right? not even a better chance? just a cheaper one!

Heres my boo hoo story...I got 2 kids and its beginning of december.Work slowed to a crawl no drywall or painting to be had in new boston michigan. I scraped and clawed to make sure my kids had their christmas and indeed they did have a decent one. I sold my svs 2000 dollar subwoofer for 800 bucks sold my oppo 4k bluray player for 300 and my evga 1080ti ftw3 graphics card for 600...Christmas was saved now that things are better money is good im out reaquiring the items i had to sell and tax time here it really looks great to get my pc back to bei g the beast it once was. And i am in awe on the fact a graphics card cant be found anywhere for retail price..I refuse to pay 1200 to 1500 to the price gouging animals, so i will co tinue to use my onboard graphics on my 7700k until this insane price gouging goes away. Im a game not a miner so define tly missing my pc. I will continue to check back frequently in hopes i see a nice green add to kart symbol in front of a elite 1080ti ftw3. I encourage all of you to not pay over retail for these cards let these tools sit on them and take a loss when the price gets back to the norm.

YES. I realize there is no automatically put in my hot little hands, but at least I can scape it out with the rest of the Elite's for the few that get offered to only Elites. I'm willing to lean into the wind!

If I do that, what water system do I need to go with it at what cost and how much noise? silent or near silent is a need for my use.

You are my SleepingHero! Good luck to you too sir.
I would really rather offer something useful to this thread, but since I don't really have anything useful to offer, I must type on. My Kitten just went to sleep so could get worse, as I am now unsupervised and up way past my bed time!

Does anyone know what else is needed to make the GeForce GTX 1080 TI SC Hydro Copper GAMING card work?
radiator, fan and pump? tubes? which are best bang for the buck on those?

I could go that way but I've never done a water cooled system and I don't want to go $850 on a card that I have to spend $200 more on before I can juice it up. :-(

I'm hoping Friday will be a big inventory bloat day and I'll be Elited and it will be the perfect buying storm! In my mind I can see it perfectly as though it was already happening. EVGA 1080ti meets Shark-Nado!

I placed an order on Amazon on January 3rd for a 1080TI (regular price, not a third party seller), and I finally received it yesterday! Stock must be slowly trickling back in

nice, jealous. I placed an order for 1070ti (evga of course) but no luck yet... I did'nt get it at $706 (Canadian) when I saw it... next day jumped 70$ bought it right away as it was still pretty decent $776.  Evga has a z370/1070 bundle for like $709 but Im not really sure I want that motherboard... but crazy shortages and you can actually order it maybe im going to regret this when its out of stock tomorrow and I didn't purchase tonight

Back to the topic, and I'm speaking for the Europe stock availability referring to the topic question: after what Jacob told us and Christian from Discord the ETA for the 1080 Ti is undefined/not available.

So in other words stuff that comes in stock in the US is selling so fast Europe stock will be neglected until the high demand disappears. They are US based after all. I hope the same is not the case for their hybrid kits tho.
