You can still buy a GTX1080 in most electronics stores. Microcenter and BestBuy both have them. There's always stock.
 
Not the case for the 1080s.
 
If I have a GTX1080, does it make sense to upgrade to the GTX1080TI or just wait for the 1180?
 
Will the 1180 perform better than the 1080TI?


From the rumors, the 1180 will have better performance than the 1080 Ti. MSRP of the 1180 is supposed to be a bit higher then the 1080 Ti though.

The 1180 Ti won't be out for awhile, but the 1180/1170 should launch in July from nVidia, expect EVGA to have the 1180/1170 for sale in August.

Yup, no one really knows when the new cards are coming out. It's all just speculation. At this point and to avoid disappointment, I think it's best to just wait until Nvidia makes an announcement.

So, basically the same guy talking to the same 'industry guys' who were the 'sources' for his failed prediction (lets repeat FAILED) is taking another bite out of the Apple and predicting July 30th.
I'd think being fooled once would make most folk more cautious about vouching for the credibility for sourcing...buy hey, dreams die hard.

Anything new anyone? I mean, rehashing the same old rumors seems kinda stale. I'm sure they will come out when they come out. Mr. Huang is not known for being deceptive in announcing or saying something is NOT in the pipeline. Keep the leader in mind, kids.
