Price starts from 889€ for the Founders Edition to 1379€ for the Kingpin Hydro Copper.

A quick note: if you search "1080 Ti" on Amazon, you will see a lot of ads of used cards, but still at high prices. Not only the mining thing is moving toward ASIC cards, but also the miners themself are selling their GPU and still want to earn on top of their GPUs as well (since everybody is selling a GPU from 1000€ nowadays). I can't still explain why there's such shortage of GPUs stocks. The 10th series of graphic cards will be still in production until September or so.

Euro/Dollar, that is still cheaper than you find them on ebay here. But you still have VAT and import taxes.

Forgot to mention that those prices are 22% VAT included.

So it sounds like with the 22% VAT you can still get an $1100 1080ti SC2 shipped to Europe from Ebay for 1150€

nah Euro to US$ is not 1 to 1. its 1 to 1.24. Euro sadly is rising lately and at a all time high.

cheapest you can get a EVGA 1080 ti sc 2 is 988 euro converted that is $1225.

That is calculated.
If you buy US 1080 ti SC2 for $1100 on ebay (a common price) then add 22% + $50 shipping it is approximately $1400 USD.
Converted to Euro that is ~ 1150€ with VAT

The higher the Euro the better the conversion for them and the cheaper for them when buying a US based good.

Problem in Europe is sadly it's not only the +VAT and shipping cost which varies between country. The customs also put  5-10% on top of that as processing cost. I've ordered from the US before and had to pay 60 euro on top of a 160 euro item (which includes shipping) , sadly they try to make it not worth your while.

Sucks that they wouldn't honor the price.  I had an order for a 1080TI that delivery keeps getting pushed back.  At least they are keeping my price.  They told me they're upping the price, but will honor previous orders.  WHEW!

I see the powers that be have removed some of my more enlightened posts from last night. Probably a wise choice. It was late and I was lonely.

Anyway, does anyone know if more cards typically loosen up on Fridays or other specific days of the week?

And I was hoping that someone would answer my question about what sort of extra parts do I need if I buy a hyper copper card?

I think that maybe they will not allow DM to become elite status even when he hits 100.
They will change the definition to 100 "substantial" or "contributory" posts. Desperate = -1 post  :)

If you go for the hyper copper it basically comes with a custom loop cooling block, which will end up being rather pricey. Also its rather a pain doing a custom loop due to the tubing which you need to use a heat gun on to shape the way you want.
You will need lots of additional parts Pumps, reservoir, connectors etc. In short it will look nice but AIO hybrid systems run cool enough these days and are cheaper. You'll be paying extra for looks and lower temperatures I suppose and can liquid cool your CPU under the same system.  Only advantage really is if you ever get a new gen graphic card or mobo/cpu combo you only have to replace the cooling blocks.

Also there are allot nicer cooling blocks out there than the hyper copper and if you going full custom loop mite as well just get a founders edition card and put the nicer looking cooling block on it. Also keep in mind custom loop systems take allot of space because most of them go for glass side panel look, where you can see your colored cooling liquid etc. If you plan on using allot of HDDs in your build most cases won't have allot of space left for such a cooling system.

MasterMiner
Unless you absolutly must own a high end gpu for professional reasons, in which case Titan Xp or Titan V is your card, my humble recommendation is to ignore the daily stock reports and pay not a single penny over original msrp.

This is tech. Prices go down. The ROR for mining is going to nil and paying $1300-$1500 for a gaming gpu on a 1+ year old platform? I mean, if you truly have that type of $$$ go for it. But there will be a better, faster cheaper card in a few months.

The sane thing to do is wait it out. Just my $0.02

MasterMiner is telling folks to wait. Seems legit.

I was leaning towards agreeing with him until I saw your comment and noticed his user name... Lol. Good catch

Bit coin is just the best known cryptocurrency. Most cryptofarmers are on others anyway.

Good news is Samsung just announced they are making special processors specifically for crptocurrency.

Yeah but not likely for good... Prices on GPU's have been up above msrp for a while. When I built my computer in late August that was an issue and BC was in the mid $2000's. It's currently at about $8500. Miner's will be at it for a while to come I believe.

Sadly, you are probably right, I'm betting they will do a simple FBI inspired "computer glitch" and make my Elite requirement the same as everyone else's 1000 posts. ;-)

Thank you...

I sort of figured it would require the other stuff, but when I search online or amazon, there were never "people who bought this also bought all this associated products" with anything like that.

That is way more, WAY MORE, work that this lazy guy can bear.

In fact I have a nice open glass side panel on my case, but it is on the left side and my case is on the left side on the floor so I have never actually seen the inside of my computer once I got it all put together! I can see the glow of the pretty lights on the floor at night though!

Eventually, I'll put it on the right side so I'll be able to see the cool LED lighting... and my EVGA 1080 ti ;-)

Did anyone else notice the obvious connect of Bitcoin's dive today, just hours after my tell all expose' on the true reason for the crypto craze and GPU shortage, which was quickly removed from these very forums by the NSA?

Just remember that I GPU prices decline sharply in the following days and weeks, (or years ;-) I will have been the one to save you hundreds of dollars on your GPU purchase. Ahaahahah!

It's getting harder to mine though, so with the inflated prices backing off, won't a lot of miners try to dump their cards, which will drop the bottom out of card prices, then they could buy new again at lower prices. I don't really know but that seems like something they might consider in their "strategy"

I know, but now that I'm so close, my mind is totally blank! I have absolutely nothing to say of any merit or value to this thread! Now, at the most highly anticipated moment of this entire thread, I am speechless!

Ironically, after all this, I will never reach 100 posts.

Wait, what?

Ta-dah!
