Hi,

Trying to understand how recently a system comprising of a 3080 Ti FTW came crashing down while playing a modded Fallout 4. The system is put together with 32gb ddr4, 11700k, Asus 590-A Strix mb, and a Seasonic Prime Tx-1000 power supply. This all happened after getting a new oled 2k monitor and game at DLDsr upsaled to 4k settings. Noticed that the gpu fans cranked up so loud was noticeable. Hot spot temps hit 90 degrees. Gpu-z said 380 watts were being pulled from main board. So in middle of game everything shut off. Never did this before as last three years were problem free. Rebooted without issues. Have about maybe 4 nvme drives and 1 rotary drive. Any advice be appreciated. Thanks

Hmm. Sounds like a power supply issue to me. Usually when the system just shuts off mid game that is what is. 90c on the hotspot isn't thermal shutdown temp, and even if it was only the gpu would shutdown not your entire system.
