When I reboot my PC, XOC monitor works perfectly. But after awhile the FPS and Frametime monitoring stops working. Anyone know why? It seemed to only start happening with this update.

I had 4 bsods pointing out to precision xoc. How to resolve this?

^^What is telling you it's XOC? Do you have any overclock?

As for my own issue with the Framerate and Frametime meter breaking, It seems to happen after I start Uplay. But it affects FFXIV which doesn't use Uplay. FFXIV shows me the data fine if i haven't launched Uplay prior. But breaks once I open uplay. Closing uplay doesn't resolve it. Games on Steam seem to still work fine. It works fine in World of Tanks. It will work again in FFXIV after SEVERAL full system reboot. Restarting XOC alone isn't enough. This just seems really bizarre to me.

Edit: it only seems to work in  FFXIV after several reboots..number of reboots to get it to work is random

No I don't overclock. I just used it for custom fan and led. Yeah it says precision xoc. It happens when pc is idle.

Extremely unstable for me. I "upgraded" from an old version of Precision X, but this program terminates without notification almost the instant I load a game. You don't realise it has terminated until you suddenly hear the fan go to 100%. As soon as you touch the tray icon it disappears, and after restarting it shows the temperature up near 90C.

Exact same thing happens to me too (version 6.2.7), with the exception of the fan, if I have a 2D and/or 3D profile assigned in the Precision settings, and I can reproduce it 100% of the time..If you have a 2D and/or 3D profile assigned, set them to 'Not assigned', click OK, then close and open Precision again..See if that matters.

If you don't have any 2D and/or 3D profiles assigned, then I guess use an older version that might work better..Versions 6.1.16 and 6.2.3 seem to be (or were) the least problematic.

Seriously no updates for over 4 months?
This version is very unstable, and starting to effect being able to play certain games
EVGA 1080 fan control and led lighting locked behind an app that gets minimal support.

I suspect they've been using that time to work on Precision X1
https://www.evga.com/precisionx1/

For now it only officially supports the new Turing cards, proper support for Pascal and older will be coming soon.
People said they have been able to OC their pascal cards with it, but LED sync and custom fan profiles does not work.
in the meantime, use build 6.2.3
It's the most stable build imo and the only one I recommend

I would like to ask where is the fps gone from the ingame overlay please

Welcome to the forums.

Open HWM..Click the System dropdown at the top of HWM and enable Framerate..Then enable OSD on the new Framerate, FPS monitor that will appear in the HWM.

If you do not see the GPU and System dropdowns (this is an  issue) you can:
1. Disable 'Start Minimized' in the General Settings, close and open Precision again
2. Position HWM beside Precision and click on Precision to bring Precision to the foreground
3. Right-click in HWM and select 'Show status'

Thank You sir you just solved my headache LOL. I have the 1080 TI SC2 and the Kingpin Skin actually let me solve this issue. I didn't want to use the Kingpin skin because of the Default RGB colors. Thanks for helping a fellow member because now I have my OSD Framerate back. Much Respect.

Using XOC v6.2.7 with 1080 TI FTW3. The software switches off after 3 or 4 hours, basically after puter comes out of sleep I have to switch XOC back on. This running right? never had this problem before, tried reinstall, nothing helps . . .

Re: EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.7 Released 2018/10/31 14:19:02 (permalink)
Hi everyone,

Upon updating my GPU driver to 416.34; it is causing a strange bug with EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.7.

After booting up Windows; when I open Precision and select my primary GPU and click the “Priority” button to change it to temperature and click the “Apply” button the entire PC freezes for about 15 to 20 seconds; the screen may go blank and then everything is normal. On a rare occasion this will lock up explorer.exe and it needs to be restarted to restore normal functionality. I don’t receive a message stating I have experienced a TDR. The GPUs are otherwise perfect in games and for Folding@Home.

This didn’t occur with the previous driver 416.16. I thought I would mention this bug here for the record but realize the following:
  1. My GPUs are really old (2013 and 2014)(see below for a spec)
  2. The drivers may be too new for my old GPUs.
  3. This software may be discontinued in favor of Precision X1
Please let me know if I can provide any other details. Thank you.

For some unknown reason to me, i can't take screenshots with latest EVGA Precsion XOC when playing games. OSD is shown fine when a game is started, but no screenshots. I'm on Windows 10 and i tried with Windows Game Bar On/Off, with the same results, no screenshots. I've checked if Precision settings are saved and they are. The folder where screenshots were supposed to be is default one, C:\Users\Public\Pictures\Screenshots. Changed the hotkey for screenshots, no luck. Anyone has this problem?

Windows 10 October 2018 Update, or version 1809, codenamed "Redstone 5", is the sixth major update to Windows 10 and the fifth in a series of updates under the Redstone codenames. It carries the build number 10.0.17763. The first preview was released to Insiders on February 14, 2018. The update was made available to public consumers on October 2, 2018. On October 6, 2018, Microsoft halted the rollout of the update due to a serious bug that deletes user's files after updating. On October 9, 2018, Microsoft re-released the update, stating that all known issues in the update (including file deletion bug) was identified and fixed. On October 25, 2018, Microsoft confirmed the existence of another bug which overwrites files without any confirmation when extracting from a ZIP file. The ZIP bug was fixed on October 30, 2018. The rollout of Windows 10 October 2018 Update, however, remains halted as of October 31, 2018.

1809 appears toast..If you have it, I'd get rid of it and go back to WinVer 1803..Thanks again, Micro$haft.

Edit: If you're unsure of which Windows version you have, type Winver in the search area and press Enter.

Incredibly buggy software. Doesn't remember my previous settings upon boot despite being told to, LED sync just doesn't work at all with my RTX 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra.

Wrong Thread, you want the EVGA Precision X1 - 0.3.5.1 BETA (RTX Only) Thread for your RTX Graphics Card.

I can now confirm that XOC 6.2.7 does not work well with 1080ti (SLI) (NVidia version 399.24). With SLI disabled it will freeze games and causes bugcheck (which I finally confirmed by simply turn off XOC).

Re: EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.7 Released 2018/11/18 13:29:21 (permalink)

Thank you.

I can confirm that the fix within the 416.94 driver for the 780 lag issue (bug id: 2423588)(page 11 of this PDF) resolves the issue I was experiencing with my GTX Titan (2013) based on the same GK110 architecture.

The EVGA Precision tool (v6.2.7) now works perfectly again. I hope to migrate to newer GPUs within the next 12 months. I am considering the newer Titan V or the rumoured up coming Titan RTX (Turing Architecture). I am aware of their high cost and will have the necessary funds to purchase them.

I hope this helps.

Yes, I had, but this was kind of my fault in my own situation
Avast! anti-virus received the ransomware shield and it was protecting the folder I let Precision XOC save it's screenshots in, preventing it from actually saving anything and then simply ignores the keypresses.

Maybe something similar is happening for you, AV or Windows 10 and it's security settings, because I believe Windows 10 also received the ability to protect folders.
But that's just a wild guess.
