I just upgraded my PC to a EVGA 1070ti FTW 2 and just downloaded from this site the latest version of XOC. But when I try to use LED sync it allows me to open a small UI window and change colors but nothing changes on the card itself. But if I go into the settings cog at the bottom and select the LED tab I can change the color but can't change the cycle speed on the rainbow and cannot change separate banks of LEDs

Hey EVGA listen up! Precision XOC x64 6.2.7 (and any previous patches) is useless when it comes to OSD in Battlefield V. It worked fine when I was playing BF1 & BF4 and it seems to work OK in the Steam game I play (Virtual Pool 4). I don't know if it's the game or XOC but I would like to see it work again. It was a great help to see my temps and fan speeds ingame.

I should have posted this months ago but this version is a POS.  It takes almost two minutes to load.  And I have discovered even without changing any settings, it will cause game crashes and my system to freeze.  Most noticably when I start Destiny 2, the splash screen asks you to hit Enter, after I press Enter my system will freeze.  I trouble shooted numerous other items but after I stopped running Precision XOC 6.2.7, the system freezing has stopped.  Would like to manually adjust my fan speeds on my EVGA 1080 ti FTW3 but won't run this software til there's a fix.

I am having some issues with PXOC software on my GTX 1070 FTW2. My GPU, Power and Memory LED lights doesn't seem to update it's colours whenever the card gets hotter. In order for the LED's to behave as it should, I need to open up the software and click on something that brings up the options menu, then click OK to close it, in fact, when I boot the system all those 3 LED's are off and doesn't turn on unless I do what i've described.
It's quite annoying to do this EVERY time the in order for the LED's to function as they should. I wonder if uninstalling the software would make this issue go away (the only thing keeping me from completely removing PXOC is the separate fan control which is a shame that MSI AB doesn't let me control both of them).

What I do not understand is how a company like EVGA does not develop software that matches the quality of its graphics cards. It is incomprehensible that their graphics cards depend on such lousy software. They, for example, could learn from MSI and his afterburner software.

That is exactly what I was thinking when I've acquired my 1070 FTW2 a few weeks ago, I was absolutely stunned by the build quality and the awesome performance out of the box + the cooling solution. When I got the card, it was the first time that I've used the PXOC software and I've almost laughed at the OSD options/style compared to MSI AB which is such an amazing software, I've been using it since my ole' GTX 560 back when it was released.

Problem with that is that only the precision software is able to control your fans properly. Afterburner for instance only controls the GPU fan not the other ones.

Could we atleast get a separate fan control software ?? Should really not be that difficult to arrange.

Please!

Precision XOC 6.2.7 causes input lag on games such as Overwatch, PUBG, Fortnite. It makes no sense that the software that is supposed to be keeping  my GPU cool and OC'd is causing performance issues with the games that I bought the GPU for. It is unacceptable that EVGA has not addressed this issue. There are several threads about the issue without any actual resolution.

I've had the EVGA 1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid for some time now and I'am forced to use the EVGA Precision XOC in order to use the Fan Curve, RGB and OSD for my specific GPU.

I still have issue no matter what I do, most of the time the software doesn't stay on after starting my setup, it disappears once I hover the mouse over it and I have to relaunch the software.
Then I click on my (profile #1) to make sure its on, I minimize it and then I go back on it to double check, it's back to (profile #0)? everything else seems to be working like RGB and Fan Curve, but for some reason the OSD sometimes doesn't, yet it's set to starts with windows?

Now some times I have to reboot my system and go through the process of making sure everything is working on PXOC (profile # 1), because even though everything seems to be right, when I go into my game there's no OSD? I relaunch PXOC and nothing....Then I reboot my system, go through the steps double check it again making sure the (profile #1) is running, I go into game and this time the OSD is showing in game...

I'm just tired of rebooting my system so the software and my profile can work probably.

My cousin who has the same GPU as me, but a whole different setup, is also having similar issues with his PXOC.

If I can go back to using Afterburner I would within a second, but I can't. I have the 1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid.

OSD randomly turns on

Has this ever been fixed?  Saw posts having same issues with previous versions...I have v6.2.7
I've managed to set different profiles and got the OSD to stay off after each reboot.

however, it seems the OSD turns back on when certain apps are launched (checked every option to try and keep OSD off)...anyone know what could be causing this or if this is a bug?

Hey' I tried the New PX1 and I had some issues, plus that's PX1 doesn't work particularly for the (1080Ti Hybrid FTW3) like the LED on my GPU also has it on the top of back plate and the PX1 doesn't give me the option to sync all LED to Blue on my GPU. Anyways I went back to Version 6.2.7 as you said and now my OSD is showing in game and so far the software hasn't disappeared on me. Let's see how that goes through out the week....

Warning: this software breaks WinRing0.dll i had to go into the registry and delete the WinRing0_1_2_0 folder under “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\” because the Intel processor diagnostic tool was failing

Well guess what....It's still happening, I turned on my system today and sure enough the PXOC disappeared  the second I hover the mouse cursor over it. This is ridiculous and it's been a long process trying to figure out what is causing this bs!

I mean I have a GPU (1080Ti FTW3 Hybrid) that needs to run this specific software and it's been nothing but issues. This  really bothers me!!!

Re: EVGA Precision XOC 6.2.7 Released 2019/02/09 15:42:26 (permalink)
I just did a clean install of Windows 10 from old Windows 7 on my desktop. I only use EVGA Precision XOC to control the fan speed curve on my EVGA GTX 780TI Superclocked ACX because the GPU tends to get pretty warm during gaming sessions.

I noticed that any time my browser Google Chrome displays notification using Windows 10 new notification system, and I click the "Close" button, EVGA Precision XOC's OSD turns on or off. It always toggles it. Took me a while to figure out what was doing it.

It happens without fail. I don't know if Precision is to blame, or Google.

ISTR something similar.  I might be mis-remembering this, but wanted to ask anyway:

1)  Have you tried leaving a notification on screen for any particular length of time to see if that may make a difference (Say, waiting for a minute, or 5 minutes)?

2)  I'm now on X1, as I also only use the software for manual fan control, and it seems to work with my 970 perfectly fine.  But when I also have my 560 Ti 448 Core installed in here (as a dedicated PhysX card) I ran PXOC, and something similar happened to me once or twice.  Is there any settings for the OSD that allow you to block / disassociate application (so that you could block any OSD settings from Chrome.exe), that might help this issue?  I don't have it installed anymore, and not really looking forward to installing it just to test, but if I *have* to in order to help you out, I can probably be persuaded...

I suspect that either the OSD side of things is trying to establish itself in the notification panel, treating it as a separate window / application / instance, or else that the actual notification system built into Chrome is just screwing with the hooks built into PXOC.

The easiest workaround I have found is to not click the "Close" button on individual notifications at all, but instead open up the action center, read the notifications, then click "Clear all notifications" down at the bottom. This seems to clear them all out and not toggle the OSD.

Precision doesn't have an exclude option for the OSD sadly. I wish it did, because then I would probably use it more, but for now I just use the above workaround the keep it from toggling.

My GPU, Power and Memory LED lights doesn't seem to update it's colours whenever the card gets hotter. In order for the LED's to behave as it should, I need to open up the software and click on something that brings up the options menu, then click OK to close it...

I have got same problem on my GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Gaming [11G-P4-6593-KB].

I set up my G.P.M. LED like this:
GPU: under 40°C no light; 41°C green light; 61°C yellow light and 81°C red light.
PWR: under 40°C no light; 45°C green light; 65°C yellow light and 85°C red light.
MEM: under 40°C no light; 45°C green light; 65°C yellow light and 85°C red light.

Before i run 3DMark i close Precision XOC (6.2.7). After run card is hot, but LEDs don't show how hot exactly (G.P.M. LED don't work without software). When i run Precision XOC after 3DMark run - it's not auto update G.P.M. LEDs. I must click on any thermal icon in main menu and go in Thermal LED settings and press O.K. Only after that it update it's "color" temp.
Why it can't update it right after start?

If i shut down PC when sensors was hot (green color) and turn on next day (when card is cold) - they still green untill i go in settings in "manually update" them.

Another problem that Precision XOC SOMEHOW add load on system fans. When software is run - fans sound louder. Right after i shut down it - fans lower it's RPM.

Update:
That "load" on fans was from PrecisionXServer.exe and PXSW10_x64.exe. They both start with Precision XOC and i can see them in NVIDIA GPU Monitor. I changed their extension from *.exe to *.ex_ and started Precision XOC normally. No load on fans.
