Well after months of being in line I finally get the message that a RTX 3090 FTW3 ULTRA is available.  Tough choice since I bought the FE version months ago.

If your time stamp for a 3898 is after 9:05, I suggest looking for another card unless you MUST have that card and nothing else will do. If your time stamp is < 9:05, consider it a win if you get one before summer. The queue is going to creep along a few seconds at a time.
 
My time stamp for the 3898 is closer to 9:09. I highly doubt that I ever get one. I will end up getting another card before I see a 3898 appear at my doorstep. 

I'm at 9:09:36 (or something very close to that) for the 3898, and this is disheartening. I thought it was my best shot before I ship out. Huge bummer.

I'm at 9:10:29 for 3888 which is the xc3 hybrid so how long do you think it will be for me?

Tough to say, Maybe 4-6 months if the line is as long.

I think that if it starts droppig againd I will get it before april because looking at the spreadsheet there is about 60 people ahead of me on the xc3 compared to the 200 people ahead on the ftw sheet

The Hybrid news is disappointing for sure. I got in the que for the 3898 and the 3888 about 2 hours after both went live. For the 3897, I didn't get in until 9/20 at 5:51:42. At least I have a MSI 3070 to hold me over, but still disappointed in the current state of things. Those who enjoy betting, which of those three cards do you think I'd see first?

despite being ready 15 minutes before and attempting with 3 people across 5 computers, the earliest the site finally loaded and let me in for the 3898 was 9:10:49, it was just all blank until then, and I have gigabit ethernet too. That was discouraging, but the 0:01 second of movement on the only drop since then was even more discouraging. Jacob saying that 3898 stock is 'light' was the final nail in my coffin, and I caved and bought a pre-built Omen 30L with a 3080 in it from microcenter yesterday. Finally having this be over feels good, but it sucks giving up on my custom dreams and returning all my parts I already had. Whether you cave like me or persevere the long haul, hang in there, its worth it at the end!
