Signed up for the queue for a 3080 FTW3 Ultra back in October, and then in December, signed up for the Hybrid version as well for the hell of it, since I hadn't been able to get a normal one yet.

Now I'm still months away from getting the Ultra, but probably going to get my notify for a Hybrid any day now.

I don't actually have the spare fan slots for the Hybrid...




What time did you get on the list for the hybrid?

3898 hybrid for me but same general situation. The 3898 is realistically the only one I have any chance of possibly getting in the "near" future. 
 
My entire thought process on it is "If my queue spot dings then I'll buy it immediately and figure out the rest later."


 
My thought process too.  Might try to find someone who wants to trade their non-hybrid, or might just bite the bullet and get a new case.

If I get the notify for the 3888 hybrid, I'll buy it without knowing it will fit in my case.  I *think* I can remove the factory fans and put my Corsair QL120 fans on it pushing air through the rad and out the top of the PC.  If it won't fit, I'll buy a different case even though I love my Corsair 4000D.

3898 hybrid for me but same general situation. The 3898 is realistically the only one I have any chance of possibly getting in the "near" future. 
 
My entire thought process on it is "If my queue spot dings then I'll buy it immediately and figure out the rest later."


Same here as I am seconds out on the 3898 vs days/weeks on the rest of the 3080s.  I have a NZXT H510 case and it looks like I will have to mount it upfront vs ontop.  Never had a hybrid/water cooled setup so this will all be new to me, hopefully I don't screw it up.

Last time I checked the queues for the 3080 FTW3 Ultra it was almost three months ago.  Now I see it's moved forward in the queue by one day.  This makes me extremely sad.

Once I get my Hybrid, I plan on changing my cooler for the CPU to one of the low profile Noctua heatsinks and exchanging some of the space for the Hybrid cooling with the GPU. Space is so limited in SFF, otherwise, I'd keep both the same! Only downfall is I'm at like 7:42pm for the 3888 on 12/16, so probably won't see any movement for awhile on my end :(

Same, I kinda have an idea of how it will fit in the case atm, but it's really rough, (and might involve a dremal)

I hope so!  I'm currently picking the parts for my new build and my queue position is 10/6, so I'm hoping to be able to finish the build soon-ish.

Am I right in thinking 3090's apart from Kingpin cards are hardly moving at all? 
 
I signed up for 3090 XC3 Ultra 10/6 6am pst, looks like its been sitting at 10/5 for awhile.

I will take the factory fans off the radiator and put mine on.  Then probably make a custom fan curve in iCue based on GPU temp.

Have to say, whilst I appreciate EVGA, the support they give, I'm more than a little confused/annoyed, that there are A LOT of people waiting for their initial email to purchase, yet EVGA is allowing step-ups? Is this from 20xx series, or people who bought 1 flavour of 30xx but want another?
 
If it's the former, fair enough. If it's the latter, then that is shocking and unacceptable imo.




The Step-Ups, IF they get anything, is once a week at most, sometimes less, and usually like five items or so. That's about it. Some haven't had any movement in almost two months. The ratio of Step-Up to auto-notify is nowhere near level but I'm guessing/hoping there are a LOT less people on the Step-Up queue. They allow you to Step-Up to whatever you can, but I'm coming from a GTX1660, so it's going to be a world of difference. I do get what you are saying, though, but trust me, as someone who's watching this stuff like a hawk, there aren't many Step-Ups happening. It's meant to be a "You're gonna wait a while until we can allocate anything for you," sorta thing. Very limited supply.
