Thank you Newt, you have helped me keep my sanity through this process and you deserve a statue.

I don't know about that, but thanks for the kind words.  [If you do commission an artist, tell him I look exactly like my avatar...a big ol' smile, blue hands and feet, and googly eyes!]

I think a statue of enewt is something the overwhelming majority of people could get behind.

Here is a 750 watt available off evga direct but idk if I would trust it lol 😆

I was thinking about getting one due to the low price, but it turns out that it's quite craptastic.

Yeah without even looking at a review, I would barely trust that PSU to run a laptop.  Not all PSUs are created equal, and that one has zero "ratings" specs because it is indeed... "inferior" lol

I expect it to sell out soon, but there's a better built 750w available in their B stock right now at the bottom, for $70.

Sorry for the late entry, but mine was later than the time you put on the Chart. Thank you! My watch has finally ended!

EDIT: Also does anyone know how to buy an extended warranty through EVGA? I remembered when i registered my old card it gave me the option to buy it? Is it still the same process?

I am confused on what this April cut off I have been reading about is, I know I am down the list aways since I didn't get singed up for a ftw3 ultra 3080 until December. Just trying to figure out if I need to start searching elsewhere for a gpu as I was kinda banking on this queue. After April is the queue going away?

I would shop everywhere I could while also waiting in the queue. It's not an either/or thing.

My FTW3U Hybrid arrived today and I just registered it.  The options for an extended warranty appear both during product registration and afterward if you hit the "View Details" button on it through the "My Products" page.  I am considering the extra 2 years (5 yrs total) for an extra $30 since I've never had a hybrid card before.  The extra 7 years (10 yrs total) for $60 seems a better value, and I do tend to keep my GPUs for 7+ years if I can.  I've got another 85 days to decide, but any opinions are appreciated.  :)

In other news, it's a good thing the card is well packaged with foam padding.  I heard the *thud* outside my front door from the UPS guy dropping it off and bolting.  I don't blame him for trying to make good time, but an extra second to more gently set each package down shouldn't break his delivery schedule.

They are honouring pre-tariff prices for people in the queue until mid April. The queue will be a thing after that, but you’ll be paying the newer, higher price.

I walk away from the laptop for a bit to have dinner with the family and y'all go sentimental on me. Thanks again for the kind words.  I don't need a statute...or pizza....  If you want to do something, please just take the feelings of community and comradery that we've fostered and grown within this thread and try and extend them where you can in other circumstances.  We are all in this together -- both within our watch and without our watch.

Again, thank you for the kind words.

We need some soaking wet cards tomorrow yes?

Waterlogged, soaking wet, moist, soggy...we need to come up with some more expressions as I have it on good authority (Narrator: "He doesn't.") that the more unique expressions we can post to this thread the sooner the hybrids will drop.

Today felt very much like a straggler drop across the board.  We only had five total queues receive cards -- per EVGA_JacobF -- but only three reported back to sources I check.  Missing from the reports were 3663 and 3751, so they may have moved a little too.

It's noteworthy that a straggler drop for the 3897 moved over 75 minutes. That's a lot of non-responses. The queue will be into 9/19 soon and then it will really start flying. Days will start peeling away instead of minutes. Soon after that it will be weeks, at least for this card.

Other than the hiccup around 10/5 and 10/6 when the queue process was announced and publicized, I tend to agree with you.  On those two days, the card will run into significant congestion again.

I saw somewhere that basically stated that the next 2 months might be slow for gpu's due to it. So, we shall see and hope that is not the case lol.

How many people were in queue before 9/20/20? Rough guess is okay just a curiosity of how long of a wait I'm looking at when I placed myself in queue a few days ago.

Then it likely suits them to absolutely NOT hurry and get these cards out now. April is generous of them, especially considering no one else is doing such a thing, but it will seem slightly less generous if it continues to be a trickle until April and then somehow production issues "magically" disappear.

I wonder if the chinese lunar vacation will slowdown production again.

I saw somewhere that basically stated that the next 2 months might be slow for gpu's due to it. So, we shall see and hope that is not the case lol.

There we go! The next two months of trickle is justified.

Ok, Newegg is doubling down on bundles...but in a "we want folks to think we are consumer-first like EVGA, but really aren't" way...we can now enter a lottery system (rather than F5ing) for a chance to buy one of their ridiculous bundles.  Joy!

Here is one of the articles from earlier today: https://www.pcmag.com/news/newegg-responds-to-gpu-cpu-shortages-with-controversial-lottery-system

I am not recommending that folks patronize newegg, but since this is a new development in the Ridiculous Tech Launch of 2020-2021 Debacle...I wanted you to share in my disbelief.  Enjoy.

The update to that article says they "will include single items, not just combo deals."  They don't actually specify whether the most sought-after products will be among those single items, nor the distribution of each product among the options i.e. only 2 GPUs available as single items, but 20 available in bundles.  Of course, I don't expect any hard numbers, but I'm just really cynical when it comes to Newegg's behavior during this Ridiculous Tech Launch of 2020-2021 Debacle (enewt, 2021).  I am still trying to get my hands on either a 5900X or 5950X, but I have written off Newegg entirely.  Between the bots, the bundling antics, and now this lottery system, I'm looking elsewhere for my big ticket items from now on.

Just makes me appreciate EVGA's efforts even more, trying to make a bad situation even a little less frustrating for the consumer.
