Sakiz105 what can we expect from the 3080ti queue? Cause for EU I couldn't load the page almost a full hour before the registration opened for the 3060
Who knows, might be the fastest moving, so far...
It's just going to be another giant mess with most of the people not getting cards again and waiting for another year or so... nVidia is beyond disconnected from reality at this point, this is beyond stupid to release yet another card when most of them are paper launch since September. Shows how tone deaf they are.
Its sheer profiteering, capitalize while the demand is still sky high. Its highly questionable why they would want to release another product stack knowing full well that the existing stack is in such low supply.
Due to mining limiter, if I understood correctly, migt be that most of these end up in gamers hand.

I hope you're right, but word is that the hashrate limiter on the 3060 has already been hacked and bypassed, so my guess is that the 3080 Ti will still get botted & scalped with the expectation that its limiter will eventually get bypassed.

I doubt that threats of hashrate limitations from Nvidia will do as much to curb mining demand for GPU's, although it may tip the balance toward AMD products. More likely, demand for new GPU's from miners could see a temporary decline until the current downtrend in Crypto prices levels off. Although ongoing mining activity will probably not change much, the investment decision to purchase additional hardware becomes more difficult in the middle of a 25%+ drop.

The mining blocks do not stop mining all coins. SO the 3060 needs a bit of trickery to mine eth at 5 bucks a day. vs 2.50 a day. But there are 2 other coins with zero trickery need that it mines at about $3.50 a day So a 400 dollar 3060 like evga's makes just about 3.10 after power or in 133 days it earns $412 So the effort to stop cards from mining is a waste of time. The issues are very complex as to how to get a card out of bot+scalpers. I suspect it can not be done. My cousin ordered a 3090 from best buy on a drop month ago. He was surprised to finally be able to order one. It triggered to go to the local store. He was afraid to switch it to ship it home. As time is everything when you order from best buy on these items. So it was due and on the day it was due they said we are sorry we do not have it. He paid 1900 for the card which was going on ebay for 3300. They offered him 100 gift card to make up for the mistake. He took it. As 100 is better than nothing. He did consult with BBB and he was told he may be able to go to small claims court as the true loss is no card. He talked to an attorney that said it would be next to impossible to force Best Buy to buy a card from ebay at 3300 and sell it to him for 1900. Plus warranty it for 3 years. I asked a few buddies that worked for Best Buy back in the day. They said very likely a clerk saw the item come in. He called a friend and said I will put the item on a retail shelf you watch me do it. Then you walk over pick it up and buy it. The clerk could only be blamed for misplacing stock. The item was paid for so it was not stolen. They then got a card for proper msrp. This ex Best Buy worker said this was done often with hard to get play stations and iPhones. Best Buy can't stop it from happening. This happened to me with a cpu purchase from fry's 2 years ago. Discover rejected my card. I called to complain to Fry's they said tough I called to complain to discover they offered me a 50 dollar credit for the error. I later got the ryzen 3900 for a small sale at a different store and fry's is now out of business. Even though I have had zero luck in my queue I still like Evga's methods. I will continue to buy from them. But why can't they make psu's anymore. 1600 watt titanium never comes in stock https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-T2-1600-X1 1600 watt platinum never comes in stock https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-P2-1600-X1 1300 watt gold never come in stock https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-GP-1300-X1https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=120-G2-1300-XR 1200 watt platinum never comes in stock https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-P2-1200-X1 1000 watt titanium https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-T2-1000-X1 1000 watt platinum https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=220-T2-1000-X1 these simply do not show up. why is that? CptT95 you have a very long wait ahead of you
this is a doc maintained by Enewt that tells you where in the queue each card is at based on reports from those who got their ready to purchase emails your best bet unfortunately is either try best buy drops, newegg shuffle lottery or sign up for EVGA new card launches coming later this year rumors point to a 3080 ti next month and 3070 ti the following but take that with a forum sized pinch of salt XD

I've come to the conclusion that the Newegg shuffle is kind of a... scam. You compare the prices to the MSRP on the cards and they rarely match up (that or they're just really high end cards) and often you're forced to buy a bundle that includes some expensive item that you don't want/need. I'm not really sure that forcing people to buy something they don't want is really doing us any favors. Good way to move inventory though. I've still been checking it every day, but I get the feeling when I finally see an affordable 3060 ti or a 3070 on there it's going to come bundled with a 400 dollar computer case... not that couldn't use a new case.
I’ve entered the Shuffle 25 or 30 times, selecting any card/bundle under $900 and still haven’t won the chance to buy anything. Newegg put up a “Open Box Special” water cooled 6800XT today on their regular site that cost $500 more than their own new price. They are getting ridiculous.
The Newegg Shuffle became terrible in late March They were selling and Aorus water block with a high end mobo a z490 for 3200 usd . I picked it and figured buying the highest end might work. No go. I missed every shuffle in April and since April 15th only would pick the 2 or 3 most expensive deals and I still don't get picked. but eth mining hit its alltime high on Thursday so it looks like major farms are getting their cards. https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrate
Yeh I feel as though the shuffle is just a gimmick at this point. Also not sure of selection is limited to USA customers only.

Very insightful and I agree with with the link between lack of psu and gpu stock. The true problem I've maintained is the way in which online purchases can be made for high demand items by these bots. There are measures that can be introduced but I don't think retailers really care where the items end up to bother investing in bot prevention.

Well, lets hope that there is still some dignity in Nvidia, first one could be accidental error, but if it happens again, that would be a habit

If the new admin stopped the sanctions on the semi conductor companies, would it make a difference in supply? I was thinking about going to the local grocery store and buying all the meat and selling out in the parking lot via truck freezer for 10x $$ , anyone with me? When i lived in a real big city as a teen, i would get paid $20 to stand in line forever to buy big rock band tickets for a scalper, could have sworn it was frowned upon by the man back then?

"shortage" is easier to say than explaining "sanctions" , sanctions brought on the shortage, right?

Sanctions are way different than tariffs. Tariffs will affect the price, but the product is still avaliable. The shortages where caused by the global pandemic which caused a slowing of production and then the unprecedented demand for computers and components as most parts of the world started remote work and education. All that started the snowball going down the mountain. Hopefully in the next year the avalanche will subside at the base of the mountain.

I don’t think you understand how sanctions work. removing the tariff won’t make a jack squat In prices. It is a global over demand right now for silicon chips. From cars to console to cpu and Gpu etc.

Nope. If you would like to see what sanctions are ongoing, do a search country X vs Country Y and we do not want to get into the diplomatic/political on here.

The shuffle all be it, a joke, I have won once, and a friend once. Both were with mobo's. So, yes, over price for a card, but 1) still better than feeding the scalpers. 2) I know I will have a warranty. 3) Perhaps I can pedal the mobos and recoup some of the difference. I know it's discouraging. I, my son, and my friend have entered numerous times, but desperate times, desperate measures. It at least gives me a little relief while I wait for my dream card here, as I had a new build started in February with absolutely no gpu.

I have entered in every shuffle since they started them in January and never won a single one. I really believe the shuffle is region specific as I always hear that those who win shuffles typically win more than once.

Trust me, I am not bragging, I have been entering since early February. As my son, and my friend. Its not good odds, but it has happened. I am in north east, USA. We enter for any and every card and option. Definitely not being picky. I just needed something to verify all the parts I had there sitting dormant. The wins, came yesterday and 2 weeks ago.

Is that just something that gets entered when we order or can we attach it to our account ahead of time? Edit: meant to quote message I was responding to regarding enewts Google sheets tracker.

tomgillotti Oh, that's awesome! I can't believe it's been almost 7 months since I put in the notify request and it's still not up to my date yet...
How do we put in his "associate code?" Is that just something that gets entered when we order or can we attach it to our account ahead of time?
Edit: meant to quote message I was responding to regarding enewts Google sheets tracker.
Hi. Thanks for considering using the Associate’s Code for your 3% discount at checkout; it is appreciated. I sent you a PM with some explanation about how it works. Best of luck on your watch and have a great weekend!

Awesome, thank you! Not sure I will get the notification prior to May 14th. After that, I may not purchase with the expected price increase. I've accepted possibly not upgrading with this generation :/

Unless there is an additional price increase beyond what they've already announced, the current prices on the website will be the prices...the grandfathered prices (that expire on May 14th) are discounted off of the currently-stated prices (note that skus that first launched in 2021 (e.g., the 3060s) are not subject to the grandfathering of 2020 prices (for obvious reasons)). Best of luck!

Does evga automatically apply the discount for the retroactive pricing if/ when you get a notification?

This made me kinda sad. These should have gone to the queue. Does LTT even ship worldwide?

If you are eligible for the 202 pricing, the reduction already appears in the checkout flow as a "Discount". jhynn This made me kinda sad. These should have gone to the queue. Does LTT even ship worldwide?
Agreed. I really think EVGA was tone deaf on the LTT stuff.

I agree EVGA made a mistake for customers sending cards to Linus. It makes great sense from a business point of view though for some good PR to come from Linus's 12m or whatever subs he now has now on YT. The main issue I have is their execution of how they're doing it. It's not the verified actual gamer program, it's realistically the "Watch All Linus videos the moment they drop all the through" program. Due to the increases traffic, he probably makes 10x whatever the value of all the cards getting sent to him are worth so both EVGA and Linus win.
