You are right. No one in the queue would buy them.

Bottom line is, the que on their own website SHOULD be filled before things like this do. That in and of itself is why people have a right to complain. Great that he’s getting them to gamers

Looks like the numbers of cards in LTT picture is about ~20 that number probably move the queue by 1 second.

Anybody see any info for the 3070ti? All I’ve seen is a release date of early June.

The B-stocks price isn't cheap, last Thursday I was able to buy a 2080ti FTW for $1412 shipped that was with 3% discount I probably not going to keep it.

Yeah, not sure i'd pay that for a 2080ti, but if you need a card and that price won't knock you on your butt financially, that will definitely work. Like Cheemonstonzo said, I basically got a 3080 ftw3 ultra and 3090 ftw3 ultra at current MSRP. It would be nice if it was 10% less though, considering you only get 1 year warranty. But hey, it's not transferable, so it's possible they'll always be in gamers hands and not resold.

Help me, help you! Use my associate code at checkouts for up to 10% discounts on all your EVGA purchases: I6AM2ZPP7846RU5

Im not saying that it won't make him money, but you are treating it as if he is taking away gpus from people who want to buy them, which simply isn't true

No, he's [EVGA is, really, since they're supplying] taking GPUs away from people who have been waiting for months in the queue who want to buy them.  I don't doubt that their eventual LTT-watching owners also want to buy them, I'm wondering why they're getting the preferential treatment.

Awesome.  That's twenty people who have been waiting in the queue for months who would get a new GPU and a ton of other people who'll advance however many slots.  I also, based on Linus's comments on the WAN Show about how helpful EVGA has been with this, doubt that photo represents the total number of cards EVGA is contributing.

I took a look at the eBay 3060 listings and sold items, there are so many. I'm wondering if maybe half the 3060's from the EVGA queue are going straight to eBay. Maybe there are many scalpers in the queue.

Whoah, there's an insightful thought

It's almost like people in the queue aren't all perfect angels and people not in are all idiots undeserving of gpus.

I'm pretty sure I've already signed up in the past, but I just signed up again twice to make absolutely sure.

Would this actually put me at the back of the queue again? Since I re-signed up? Or does it remember where I'm at from before.

Check here:  to check if you are signed up. If you signed up again for the same card it will use the first time you signed up. You will stay right where you are in que

Plenty of people have and are. Just depends on which card(s) you're talking about.

That's a heck of a strawman.  I don't recall anyone making that argument at all.  And Linus has admitted that they have no way of stopping someone from getting a card via their Verified Gamer program and immediately reselling it.  Which some people are going to do because, when you can buy something for X and resell it for X*2 for a return of a thousand dollars or more, people are going to do that.  So I'm not sure what the point you're trying to make was supposed to be.  This isn't about some silly fake argument of people being "idiots" or "undeserving", it's about how EVGA is distributing their cards.

Anyone with a kingpin 3090 know the thickness of the radiator? Just wonder what EVGA considers appropriate cooling for a 3090...

@CPT, yes for the 3090 hydro. You posted the link to modmymod, but I think I just want to go more streamline. I would like to go with the corsair stuff. Readily available on NE and Amazon. I already have a corsair aio on my cpu, and extra fans, and the commander pro. They offer 30 and 54 thick. 240 and 360 long. I am not an overclocker, just want to game with confidence.

What case do you have? This will determine how big of radiator you can fit. Also do you want to keep your AIO(how big is it?), or switch to full custom loop with GPU and CPU?

I have the Phanteks Eclipse P500A. It fits 360 front and top. The aio is 240, and brand new. So, for now, I will be leaving it installed. Hate to just throw it aside with no use. It is in the front, pushed up,, with a 120 fan below it. A little fresh air movement, and the temp affect from it as intake should be minimal. Then, I would put the rad for the gpu at the top, as an exhaust.

Re: New EVGA.com Notification Checkout Process 2021/04/25 14:53:57 (permalink)
A big sentiment I have felt from the people in this thread is that gpus in the queue should be #1 priority and evga is doing wrong by selling to anyone else

"Bottom line is, the que on their own website SHOULD be filled before things like this" - valuing people in the queue over LTT watchers

"No, he's [EVGA is, really, since they're supplying] taking GPUs away from people who have been waiting for months in the queue who want to buy them. I don't doubt that their eventual LTT-watching owners also want to buy them, I'm wondering why they're getting the preferential treatment." - what I get from this is that sending any gpus to anyone else other than the queue is preferential treatment, ignoring the many times more gpus that have gone to people in the queue already. It's not like people getting gpus in other places haven't been waiting months either just because they haven't signed up for a notification maybe cuz they don't know it exists and at this point it's too late to sign up

"That's twenty people who have been waiting in the queue for months who would get a new GPU and a ton of other people who'll advance however many slots." - again, implying 20 people who have been waiting in the queue should get priority over 20 people who manage to get lucky with linus after most likely waiting months too

plz suggest a positive way to ensure 100% to user and not scalper/reseller/miners without require someone to upload their social security card+ drivers license+ bank statement+proof of residence+without making a political ****show out of this.. i bet u cant.. but if u complain about evga's system.. you're welcome to waste 2-3 hours every day with zotac drop on their website... which by the way was how evga was before the queue system

I wouldn't worry too much about intake temps with CPU vs GPU in front since the custom loop will have a much more efficient rate of heat dissipation vs aio, vastly increased volume of water, as well as much lower temps. Having the GPU loop in the front will make for a much cleaner setup then having it all over the place.
I would recommend a HW labs radiator but they are about as hard to find as GPUs right now unless you go with their slim rad GTS 360. Since you aren't overclocking then a slim rad would actually be perfect for you tbh, and they can be had for about 60-70 bucks last I checked, 80 on amazon, and basically outperform anything at that class. It will be plenty for a single GPU and still allow you to set fans to low speed due to its design. If you are never planning on adding your CPU to the loop then get one, if you eventually do plan on adding your CPU to your loop then grab two while you still can lol.
Edit-Just double checked your case and you can mount a 420 in the front :o
in that case Performance pcs has one HW labs 420 GTR in stock right now and that would be perfect with push pull on front for both CPU and GPU by itself. It is a 60mm class rad with higher density fins then the GTR and using push-pull will give you near silent operation. Sorry for the long post, but just wanted to help you be as informed as possible

Artificial crisis, who is involved I don't know, but if you look at timelines, this was tried with the 20 series at a lesser extend, and now it feels since the pilot worked, is full on now. I know people are trying to blame crypto for this, and though I agree there is a "gold fever" around it, you can see that it takes a long time to recover investments, and sometimes (rare but they do happen) they don't recover at all e.g. Card goes brick and you get your "money back" not a new card. The scalper nonsense can be stop, and for those who blame crypto, smart contracts and SSI is a great solution to enforce one customer one card while the "crisis" is there. Amazon can do it, is not like they have no "engineering power", BB also, and new egg at a lesser extend. In fact, Amazon could implement such solution and provide it as a service to other retailers... but now I wake up from the dream and of course they won't. their cut from a 3600 sale is much juicier than from  900 product...
