As frustratingly long as the waits are on the EVGA queues, EVGA gives you a reasonable chance to buy your card once your time arrives. Not so Newegg.
 
Newegg is making participating in their shuffle unreasonably difficult. First, they vary participation times dramatically. Often one must sign up by noon. Today, if one had checked shortly before noon, one would have assumed that there was no shuffle today. Then, when Newegg finally posted the shuffle, they seem to have chosen today's hours to make participate as difficult as possible.
 
Notifications go out from 5 pm to 11 pm PT and Newegg gives you only 2 hours to buy if chosen.
 
So, if you live on the east coast, you might get notified at 2 am and then have until 4 am to buy or forfeit the opportunity!

On a recent operation, Hong Kong customs confiscated a sizeable amount of goods from a fishing boat, including what seems to be 300 Nvidia CMP 30HX mining cards.

Oh the Salt is real today folks.  This just burns me up in that I lost out again on having a sniff at getting the final two pieces for my build, the CPU and GPU.  I have everything else I want/need.  Just let me buy a 5900x and a 3080 at a reasonable price.  The scalpers can go to [redacted by user].

I've never heard of it.  Saw the intro lead comparing it to Le Guin and the (two person) Corey, and bought the first on your recommendation.  I'm working my way through the three body series.  Finished the first book, have the second to go, but I have taken a moment to refresh myself with a Scalzi dive into Head On.  For my fellow veterans here, which there are a few, I'd very much also recommend The Forever War and Old Man's War.

You might want to look into a hobby other than gaming since the odds of your getting a card soon are not great unless you are willing and able to buy from a scalper.

I don't have much hope getting a 3080 before the 4000s are announced at this rate. I ended up taking my EVGA 980 TI apart and re-seating the heatsink to solve the overheating issues which was the instigator for making a new build. Had to settle for an AMD 5800X because 5900X are just as rare as 3080s..... BUT, since solving the heating problem with my 980TI, I can at least play my current library again. (EVGA, if you read this, put more thermal compound on the die please.)

Has anyone kept count on how many people's que has come up since the thread started?
Seems like no more than 100-200 tops which if anywhere near accurate, is really sad, hell even if 1000 peoples que came up, that's sad and there is no way 1000 people in here received a notify.

The majority of people that get their notify do not report here nor signed up for the spreadsheet. On top of that, 50-80% of all notifies are most likely from individuals that put in notifies for every card (Scalpers,Miners,system builders).
