Alright guys, anyone know what the pace has been like on the 24G-P5-3987-KR?  Last I saw it was at 10/26/2020, I have a notify at 11/1/2020 at 01:55:00 am.  I am just trying to gauge if it is worth it to try and find one if I can get something from a reasonable seller (less than 30% over MSRP) or if they are moving nicely along, I could just wait.  I have about a month or so maximum time I can wait until I will NEED one.

The 3987 has actually had some serious movement the last few times it dropped. As in over 24 hours in a single drop. Can't promise that level of movement will continue, but if it does, you're honestly not in too bad of shape.
 
Also, glad to see movement on the 3897 as well! Albeit small movement from stragglers. Hopefully that is a sign of things to come for queuesday tomorrow!!!!! 

 
Interesting, as much as a whole day? That is insane.  Hopefully sooner than later.  I could surely use it.
 
I wish you luck with the 3897.  I can imagine anyone with a 38xx card has quite the battle ahead as they seem to be THE MOST POPULAR cards right now.

As my other aside, driven partly because enewt caught the reference and loved it. As well he should, he created that monster. Hugh Howey and his Silo series is amazing. As we wait for our queue times to come, I cannot encourage any books more than this.  I love King, Scalzi, Hadleman, Le Guin, and so many more authors.  I'm kind of a bookworm.  I still need to read the book versions of the Expanse.  Wool, Shift, and Dust though are highest of my recommendations.  Altered Carbon books too.  Sorry mods, but I would encourage you to read them as well.

As frustratingly long as the waits are on the EVGA queues, EVGA gives you a reasonable chance to buy your card once your time arrives. Not so Newegg.
 
Newegg is making participating in their shuffle unreasonably difficult. First, they vary participation times dramatically. Often one must sign up by noon. Today, if one had checked shortly before noon, one would have assumed that there was no shuffle today. Then, when Newegg finally posted the shuffle, they seem to have chosen today's hours to make participate as difficult as possible.
 
Notifications go out from 5 pm to 11 pm PT and Newegg gives you only 2 hours to buy if chosen.
 
So, if you live on the east coast, you might get notified at 2 am and then have until 4 am to buy or forfeit the opportunity!

I've never heard of it.  Saw the intro lead comparing it to Le Guin and the (two person) Corey, and bought the first on your recommendation.  I'm working my way through the three body series.  Finished the first book, have the second to go, but I have taken a moment to refresh myself with a Scalzi dive into Head On.  For my fellow veterans here, which there are a few, I'd very much also recommend The Forever War and Old Man's War.
