GO!

i think some 3080 12GB cards were live for the EVGA bundle thing. I saw it was live via reddit. (for a few minutes)

https://www.reddit.com/r/...pp&utm_name=iossmf

did some people get to buy a bundle straight up and skip the queue?? no mention of this on EVGA or the forums that I saw.

Yeah, exactly.  That is what had originally sent me looking.  The configurator crashed and then I went to see if they were also enabling notify buttons.  Turns out, they did for the XC3.

The bundles had 3060s available a bit earlier in the day...

One more time, so that all of the threads have this information: the queue wasn't officially opened this morning for the 3080 12GB XC3 ULTRA (12G-P5-4865-KL).  Slight programming bug happened, which led to the button showing up.  We'll honor the small number of notifications that got in, but this should not be considered an example of how the queue will work.

I can only pray that the queue system really does indeed prioritize people without GPUs. Some people have been waiting for over a year and still haven't gotten a card to this day, which isn't a good sign lol. I suppose we'll see how it plays out on the RTX-3050 launch, (something tells me it's going to go horribly.)

The GTX-1050 TI is extremely underrated, and no one can tell me otherwise.

Nice to see something new being introduced, was very sad to see 2.0 die and was wondering if there would ever be a new way to line up for a GPU.

following newegg's example, they realized moving unwanted inventory in a bundle is a cool idea. 3000 cards have been periodically added to the configurator, latest was 40 mins ago according to reddit.

EVGA has always continued to send cards for store retail sale (Newegg, Microcenter, Best Buy, etc) parallel to fulfilling 3000-series queues.  Why would they need to comment on it now?

*To celebrate EVGA Queue 3.0, the users with the 300 highest EVGA Scores will be exempt from this requirement for select future launches, beginning with the GeForce RTX 3080 12GB. These users may sign up for a notification and proceed without being deprioritized for a previous 30 Series purchase from EVGA.com. This offer is only good for one product/notification queue, and once the product is purchased it may not be used again.

I might of missed it, but how do we know if we are part of the top 300 score that gets the free pass on being deprioritized in the Queue? I haven't seen anything more come out about that list, so I'm guessing I wasn't on that list than  ??

That question has been asked a bunch of times, and I've yet to see an answer. Perhaps EVGA could add a Y/N indicator next to the EVGA Score (link) to show if you are in the top 300 or not.

Regardless, it's not going to be much help if you can't get into the queue in the first place, lol.

I'm really confused about this. Unfortunately I don't think they will let me on the 3.0. I missed the chance to get on the que for the 3080 like I wish I would have. I have an EVGA 960, but it's too old to qualify me.

I've been in queue for a year and a half now.

What changed is that if you get into a 3.0 queue, your EVGA score puts you ahead of all the rest who have no score. Before, the game was to be a jobless scalper who could make it into any queue at the front of the pack, while people like you waited a year. Now, it isn't based so much on timing.

I have a score of 6!  Wow, that is barely there.  I guess I will never end up with a 30 series card.  Been waiting far too long for 3080's.

Looks like only whatever you currently have in the system counts.  Past EVGA cards don't seem to be accounted for here.

Past EVGA products have to be three years or under.  Your score will determine which tier you are in and you're only competing within that tier.  EVGA will allocate cards to each tier.  We do not know the how the tiers are structured.

So, you may have a chance.

Re: EVGA Queue 3.0 (Beginning 1/11/2022) 2022/01/28 09:45:36 (permalink)
Since the queue 3.0 mainly prioritize people who bought a ton of cards or who registered a ton of products already and do not prioritize people who have bought only one card and only one power supply before 2019 and who are still stuck with a very old setup, the typical gamer instead of the business people who currently have a high score in queue 3.0, I think EVGA should rework the 2.0 queue to allow people to re-enable old notifies they decided to cancel when the limit was set to 2 per user, while also maintaining an amount of cards registered for notifies to 2.

So in other words, let say that I previously registered for the 3090, but then decided to cancel and stuck with the 2 models of 3080TI, and Today, as we have seen the past few days, the 3090 card gets a ton of drops and become the card with the biggest amount of distribution, making it the best possible choice to be queued for on the list, I should be able to log back in and change my old notifies to reactive the card(s) I want, while cancelling other(s), to maintain a total of 2.

As a result, people who are stuck with an old setup (series 1000 cards) and who did not purchased a ton of products to get a high score for the queue 3.0, could still be prioritized and have a chance for a card in the old queue 2.0.

The main reason of a need for this system is that it's impossible for any average human, no matter the amount of research to make a clear decision on which card is going to be distributed the most and the fastest. When maximum amount of cards to be registered for dropped to 2, most people kept the 2 which seemed to be the most important for them at that time, or the ones which seemed to move the fastest at that time. But half a year to a year after, there is no way to know for anyone how the flow of distribution could then be affected and if you could become stuck on a queue for a product that is not being distributed anymore.

This is why people should be allowed to change the product they are queued for, as long as its in the same series (3000) and as long as they maintain a maximum of 2 and keeping in mind the date they registered for the notifies.

I am pretty sure that for most gamers like myself, we do not give a damn about which card we get, we just want one as fast as possible, so getting stuck on a queue not moving is not advantageous at all, on top of not having a high score.

People who have purchased at least one 30 series card from the 30 series queue and have a low EVGA Score are at the back of the line for the Queue 3.0 process, that much is true.  Folks who have not previously purchased a card from the 30 series queue, however, is prioritized. On balance, I think that is an improvement to Queue 2.0 (which I really, really want to call Queue 2.1 because of the false start last October).

I don't really have an opinion as to whether folks in Queue 3.0 should be able to switch from queue to queue to queue (with a max of two concurrent active registrations), other than I would hope that EVGA not create a system that is difficult to administer and that would be prone to mistakes.  What has made the last 16 months almost palatable is that I have yet to see a verified instance of a consumer being skipped over by the queue.  To have established a queue by borrowing the "auto-notify" button to create a queue in the middle of a tech launch debacle and supply constrained retail environment, is impressive; to do it without making huge "skipping" mistakes is incredible.  I tend to think that locking folks into two queues and making them stay there...creates the incentive to make wise choices re actual needs...and I am ok with it.  I think it would be unnecessarily complicated...low value, high risk.

The unfortunate side effect with Queue 3.0 is there is no way of knowing when your number may come up. With Queue 2.0 (2.1), you could get some indication based on the most recent GPU sent out and what their initial registration time was relative to your own. There is no way to track this new queue unfortunately.

Agreed. Queue 2.1 was a nice balance between trackability and fairness to the community (notwithstanding that the transition from Queue 1.0 to Queue 2.1 was abrupt for some and others did not reduce to two active registrations in time to avoid being relegated to their "oldest" timestamps).

Any idea when the queue for a lowly 3060 will open again? Just looking for a mid-tier card for a new build.

No one knows when any of the queues in 2.0 are going to reopen.  EVGA has stated they will be closed until they can fulfill the notifies of those already in the queues.  Some may open sooner than others.  Your guess is just as good as ours.

We just have to wait and see what happens.

Is "anticipate" a euphemism for "desperately want"?  If so, me too.

I have a computer sitting on my desk.  It's about 80%.  Just needs the GPU and water.  Oh and tubing bent and installed.  Leak checked.  And something about software installation.  Then I only have to clean up wiring.  Done to USAF wire lacing specs.  So, maybe I am not 80% done.  Queue me in?
