$1049 for ASIC of 80% ouch. Personally I would rather have a Titan X at that price.

Wait, I always thought that a lower ASIC quality meant better extreme overclockability due to leaky voltage which is desirable?

So what I see here is that average Joe that won't push them that hard, for which a higher ASIC quality is better, gets stuck with paying $200 more???

Or is everything that I've read over the years incorrect?

So lower is better on water and higher is better on air according to GPU-Z.

And super low is best with LN2. "Hmm" I say, not that I plan on getting one - but still....

What will be interesting to see now is all the people that have been upset and whining over there ASIC scores now complain when they can choose their own... at a price.  I personally like it.  But I won't be getting rid of my Titan X, so I should probably bow out of this thread now.

Anyway, love your badge.  Blade Runner is still one of my favorite movies of all time.

If you plan on overclocking it, yes - lower ASIC generally means better overclockability under water and LN2. I've read that the supposed sweet spot for water is 75 to 80%, but I have no way of confirming that.

Yes, It would be nice to know beforehand if EVGA will show how they will be sold.

If they are going to be on the product page, How will we pick between the four different KPE offerings?

ONLY if by custom you mean below ambient OR at least a maintained ambient under a heavy load. ;)

So should we be watching the advertisement page or product page where all the other 980 ti's are listed on the 22nd?

Yes, It would be nice to know beforehand if EVGA will show how they will be sold.

If they are going to be on the product page, How will we pick between the four different KPE offerings?

They will be on this page: http://www.evga.com/articles/00944/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-980-Ti-KINGPIN/
