That is completely possible. They assume nothing has changed yet till they go and claim the rewards. So next month will be the true testament to the buck folders resilience.

We will find out soon....I'm glad that we have the team we have regardless. My hope is it won't be a big detriment, with the new thresholds.

It's totally you're choice.  If you wish to up your numbers then by all means as every(extra) point is appreciated.  What particular input are you looking for? Efficiency? Best PPD?  Budget?

i have enough with the evga bucks plus some savings for a 2080 but probably just the black unless its really worth spending more for something else. i dont care for efficiency so its all about PPD the more the better.

The black should do you fine.  It'll get you roughly 1.4M PPD.  Of course your mileage may vary.  Fold on

Well based on the "newness" of the current gen, I'd say we're away from the next gen.  Granted I haven't looked at a road map either, but at this stage I would't put much stock in it's accuracy anyway.l

wow, just noticed this; guess i missed the comment period. i'm a pretty dedicated folder, but that 21 mil does look daunting.
i picked up a couple cheap, higher efficiency cards to run full time late last year (a 1060 3gb and a 1050ti) but they only net ~17mil. i'm lucky - i can stick another 1060 on full time (once my psu gets back from RMA, hurry up EVGA:) - but feel for others that enjoy shooting for that monthly goal.

Ya, my shiney new FTW3 pulls 2.1-2.6 after watching it for nearly 24 hours now.  This thing is just a beast and it stays cool.  64 was as high as it got.

Anyone else not able to view year 12 points? On 3/1/19 it was there but had negative points, but since then it has been gone. Points still showing up fine on EOC folding site.

I was just wondering about this. Should the new web page be available on the 15th, since that is the start date?
I guess anyone wanting to know progress could look at ExtremeOCfolding until then.

EVGATech_LeeM
With that said, as we move on into Year 12, we've had to take a long look at the amount of EVGA Bucks, participation, and point totals with regard to the current state of PC hardware. We decided to keep the same amount of EVGA Bucks for each tier, but the result is a large point increase for this year.  We realize that this will make it much more difficult to reach the second tier, but 20-Series cards have already trivialized the achievement of reaching 4m points into a matter of days, rather than weeks.

Tier 1 : 7m (7,000,000) (5 EVGA Bucks)
Tier 2 : 21m (21,000,000) (5 EVGA Bucks)
One other important measure to note for Year 12 is that the point totals are not set in stone.  This time, we're going to monitor the point totals to see how easy/hard it is to achieve these point totals for the community, and adjust if necessary.

Please note the submission page still shows Year 11 until 3/1/19.

Thank You,
Lee

** Please don't forget to submit any points for Year 11 before March 15th, 2019 as we will cut off submission on the following day. **

Edit: Updated the Tier 1 and 2 totals based on final numbers.

So you've upgraded points based on the top 10% of the team....   25M / month is 833,333PPD - there are only 59 users currently beating that average... out of 562 currently active folders.

I have decent hardware, and I might reach 7 mil in 1 month, no way I'm reaching 21 mil.  Absolute BEST I can do is 11mil and that's IF I only receive the best performing work units for my card, & hit 375,000 ppd average which I've never done...  I'm lucky to average 330,000 ppd.  I know there are a few users who are only here for the E-Bucks, it's almost certain that they will drop out rather than upgrade.  I myself was planning a folding upgrade later this year to a 2060, but even if I did get a 2060 that's still putting me out of the 25Mil range without 24/7 folding - so that's not going to happen, especially with the loss of at least half of the E-Bucks I could have earned.  My 970 FTW still kicks butt in all my games at 2K resolution, so folding was the only reason for the potential upgrade

Way to take a dump on the base of the pyramid...

A little late SM-71 but glad to see you here.
The change has nothing to do with the Top 1% or even the Top 10% of the active users.
The change was coming and should have come last year to ease this year but was not because users complained last year not to increase the them.

Ya, IMO the decision to not change the points because people complained last year was a mistake.

I just hope EVGA is still open to adjusting the top threshold, if there is a drop off... I can see this taking many by surprise, those that don't frequent the forums monthly or better.

wow...bummer...my 1060 just became obsolete, and it would take my 1070 ti 4 weeks of continuous folding to hit the 21mil mark,I just got this stuff 6 ish months ago.. not in the cards for me. doubling the to 4mil/8mil would be seemed more reasonable imo... This isn't fun anymore

So True
But the below would not apply or help if Folders Stop Folding altogether.

Everyone needs to Fold their Normal Folding for the Month of March to show EVGA that the Numbers are Too High and or Too Low to adjust as needed.

It is known and has been posted above, Please Stand-By.
The Month of March is the Change Over Year to Year.

But I only see 587,085 Points and not ~1 million points
You need to make sure you see the Total Points on your Banner Link Before you Clam your EVGA Bucks Each Month.

Agreed, IMO, it should have been raised to 3m / 6m for 2018, and this year could have been raised to 6m / 12m (pressing it for a 1060, make-able for a 1070), but forcing people to get top tier hardware just to make it is total BS.  100% of my E-Bucks went towards better folding in the past.  If this is the way we are going to be treated, I may just go fold for another team that appreciates all folders, not just an elite few.

I may just go fold for another team that appreciates all folders, not just an elite few.

The Team Appreciates all folders and you know this.
No other Team has a Back End Support that EVGA is Providing Today and has for the last 12 Years Now.

IMO it was way to big of a jump in the point system. Time for me to sell my folding rig and focus on my boat, spring is just around the corner.
Good luck to all and to all a farewell.
BTW it will be in the for sale section this weekend.

If this is the way we are going to be treated, I may just go fold for another team that appreciates all folders, not just an elite few.
