If I'm reading this correctly, it's just Hybrids going out today and any suggestions that HC were going out too was a mistake?

Per Jacob on Twitter: (Can't post a link yet)
Sorry misread. Some HYBRID starting going out today. HC not yet.

Yeah, I saw that a little earlier as well. Although it does sound like we should expect something by the middle of the month.

I was considering going vertical. But I didn't want to get rid of the bottom fans, and I know that the Lian Li vertical GPU mount takes up those slots. I see that that one doesn't, so that's nice. Might be something to consider. Though you lose out on the additional FPS from the RGB on the backplate of the GPU...

Go vertical, looks real nice and no clearance issues

Yeah, the 14th is the original notification date I believe, but fingers crossed for an early launch.

Just one thing about the XC3 card though... I'd be grabbing that instead of the FTW3 purely because the FTW3 with the water ports simply doesn't fit into an O11 Dynamic.

Its a good thing I stumbled across your post. I have the very case and didn't bother checking the card size. Its a big case and I expected any card to fit.

Vertical mounting isn't hard to do today. Phanteks makes a $40 kit that fits right into all the dynamic cases. And it looks aesthetically better, hiding wires coming out of your MOBO, etc. Get rid of all your clearance worries, go vertical mount.

Do you know the name/product ID of that Phantek kit, King? You know, for, uh, research purposes... Or in case I can ever manage to get ahold of one of the cards.

Hadn't they said the HC autonotify was supposed to go live today? or has that changed again?

I heard there were some QC issues which may add delays, but that may have only been with the K|ngP|n HC. Also, I thought December 15th was when auto-notify would go live again on the HC & Hybrid models. Maybe that was just for the Hybrids then?

From what I understand, all HC models were delayed due to an issue with the water block. As for the notify date, I don't believe they are activating it until the initial shipment has been sent to the people that were able to hit notify when it was briefly up before. So for now, just wait and see what Jacob has to say.

At this point, Im working on getting an FE and dropping a water block on it. All the red light problems and RMAs. Who wants to deal with that? At least with Nvidia and Asus they have more reliable parts. Imagine waiting all this time and getting a Hydro Copper only for it to get the right light of death. Please.

Same I will wait. Only have 3 more parts. Motherboard, Ram, GPU. I know which ram & motherboard I want. Just the waiting game on Hybrid GPU.

The HC is worth waiting for. I'm going to sit back and watch the air cooled and hybrid cards fly off the shelves. Feed the demand. I hope that massive drops continue throughout December, or at least through the 18th. After that, I wouldn't count on very much happening for the rest of 2020 in terms of card drops. I doubt that anyone at EVGA will be working the last two weeks of December.

massive drops?  it's more in demand and harder to get right now than ever.

At this point the TI versions will be announced or at least confidently leaked when HC hits shelves.  What a disaster.

I wish they would just pick up the phone to EKWB and they those fitted directly rather than using Swiftech as and OEM for the blocks.

Honestly considering buying an EK block and putting it on there anyways. I'm not really a big fan of the aesthetics of the HC block. I'd also be really interested if EVGA ever started selling bare PCB cards.

I don't like the HC aesthetics. And I don't like the HC cooling engine.
I do like the acetal plane Jane EKWB. And I do like the EK cooling engine.

But I like the HC price. And I don't like the EKWB price.
Ehh!

Yes: Like that! (Preferably with single height I/O). And sold in EU, not China only. (Although that would give me an excuse for a holiday in HK or Shanghai...

Like this:

I've considered doing the same, but given the EVGA 30xx high failure rates and RMAs, I dont want to have to keep taking waterblocks off and putting on the original cooling before sending it in

two thoughts... 1)  i have two ftw3 ultras.. no failures on my part yet.  what are the percentages of failures?  i'd like to see that before agreeing that there is a "high failure rates... "

2)   i personally LOVE how the HC block looks.   i do have the Optimus, EK and Alphacool blocks ordered so i can do some testing and reviews... I was really hoping for the Heatkiller block, but it's been moved to Jan for expected pre-orders as opposed to the original mid december expected date.

Quick question. Do the fans have a 3 pin or 4 pin connection to the card? I’m planning to buy some fans (non-LED) that are quieter, but I need to know if I should get PWM fans or 3 pin fans. Thanks.

I bought an XC3 Black after the HC delay since it's what I could get my hands on. Debating now whether to put an EK block on it and call it a day or to wait for the HC launch still since I'm setup for a notify.

Given that the HC block uses a parallel flow fins as opposed to everyone else (jet flow), would there be a big difference in performance? I can’t for the life of me remember how my HC 1080ti performed compared to my ek 1080ti, but I remember them being somewhat similar or basically negligible.

What problems exactly? Based on images, the 3000 series hc blocks are exactly the same. Not too happy to hear this.
