Just one thing about the XC3 card though... I'd be grabbing that instead of the FTW3 purely because the FTW3 with the water ports simply doesn't fit into an O11 Dynamic.

Its a good thing I stumbled across your post. I have the very case and didn't bother checking the card size. Its a big case and I expected any card to fit.

The 3090 FTW3 HC is actually slightly smaller than the 2080 super FTW3 HC:

2080 super FTW3 HC:
  • Height: 6.24 in - 158.55 mm
  • Length: 11.45 in - 290.87 mm
  • Width: Dual Slot
3090 FTW3 HC:
  • Height: 6.19 in - 157.3 mm
  • Length: 11.37 in - 288.9 mm
  • Width: 1.2 Slots
3090 XC3 HC:
  • Height: 5.2 in - 132.1 mm
  • Length: 10.35 in - 262.8 mm
  • Width: 1.2 Slots

Yep, this is what I'm referring to. Thanks to the power supply going behind the board and the lack of a rear 120mm fan, Lian-Li was able to shrink the distance between the board and the side panel. So I took a tape measure from the edge of my GPU's PCB (given that's how EVGA seems to quote their dimensions, not taking the bracket into account), and it was less than 6 in., ruling out the watercooled FTW3 (air cooled version still fits though). The O11 XL has some extra space here though and should have an easier time fitting the FTW3 HC.

My computer:

- Intel 13900K
- EVGA Z790 Classified
- EVGA 3070 Ti FTW3
- 2x32GB DDR5-6000
- Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB + Samsung 850 EVO 1TB + Crucial MX500 2TB
- EK open loop with 360mm rad (CPU only for now)
- Corsair HX1000W (12 years old, but still going strong!)

Yeah I have a O11 XL and 2080 super FTW3 HC.  Not much room at all between the edge of the glass and the top of the card.  I would guess less than 0.5".

You'd need to get your hands on a 3090 FE card and one of the EK blocks with the rear outlets.

Hmm, I'm glad the height was brought up.  I built my setup going off of the block height of my 1080ti.  I have almost exactly 6" from the top of the PCI-e slot to my glass top.  Are those measurements from the bottom of the PCI-e slot on the card?

You sure about that, Nereus? Andrewm24 says his 2080 super FTW3 HC fits in his O11 XL while the 3080 FTW3 HC is slightly smaller from the specs on EVGA's product page.

2080Ti FTW3 Ultra HC
Height: 6.24"

3080 Ultra FTW3 HC
Height: 6.19"

If there is space with the 2080Ti HC in an O11 XL, then the 3080 HC would surely fit. Sadly, I'm in a whole different city until next weekend before I can put my computer together to check.

There’s no reason it shouldn’t fit based on the specs. And I can’t imagine they would make a water cooled card that wouldn’t fit in one of the most popular water cooling cases.

BTW, for those O11 XL owners above.. there is 6.77" (172mm) of clearance from the motherboard PCB (bottom of PCIe slot) to the glass side.  The smaller O11 Dynamic (non-XL) has 6.38" (162mm) of clearance.  Been kinda wondering about fitment myself, as a O11 XL owner myself.  I have plans on getting the 3080 FTW3.. either the HC version or the air cooled. Whichever I can my hands on first.  If it does happen to be the air cooled version, It's getting a waterblock slapped on either way.

No I'm not sure, I don't have that case. I may have misread that earlier post, sorry.

Yea, I think that last I had heard was around the first or second week of December.

Edit: Looks like twitter just updated and it was stated the first batch is going out this week

So I'm curious how flexible the tubing is going to be on the FTW3 hybrids. I'm also using an 011 Dynamic (non-XL version) and currently have an MSI 1070 that lists its height as 5.51", so about .08" taller than the hybrid. The power cables are able to bend up and around to plug in, but they definitely touch the glass. I've never had a hybrid card before, so will the tubing there be able to make that bend to go up to either a top- or side-mounted radiator?

Oh boy, looks like I missed out on the first round of notifications on this and apparently have been reading wrong also, didn't realize there was already a round open for these and has been since closed. I am still in que for 3080 but looking like it will be months still, I am still making my away along with a pair of old 980's, may just be better off upgrading to a used 2080TI on the cheap and sitting out 1 more generation.

The first round was only open for a few minutes before it was "sold out". So don't worry, hopefully they will open up again soon.

I take it there's no word on the next opening for notifications though? I'm ready to pull the trigger on this thing as soon as the next batch opens.

I'll have to keep a closer eye out, from a cost standpoint it's cheaper to buy the HC model rather than a vanilla model and throwing a block and backplate on after the fact. I am definitely overdue for an upgrade though so fingers crossed.

I'd suggest following @EVGA_JacobF on Twitter. That's how I found out about the HC and Hybrids going up for the queue.

Looks like some of the HC notifications have started going out today:

https://twitter.com/Fires...us/1333858406629826560

****!!!! This is exactly what I was concerned about when I dropped my auto-notify for an air cooled 3080. I would have had it in my hands by now, but I don't want another air cooled card. I'm sick of the fan noise. Apparently, someone got on the auto-notify list for the card that I want.... the 3080 HC. Lucky them. Unfortunately, I am not lucky. Never have been. I never get the message when a "here one minute, gone the next" auto-notify button appears. I wish EVGA would stop playing games. Put the ****ing button up and leave it up so people can get their name on the list and get on with their lives. I don't have time to sit on the computer hitting F5 all day. I hate social media, but I held my nose and got a twitter account just so I could follow Jacob and get the messages. I saw the message for the 3060Ti this morning and the auto-notify is live for those cards, but I saw nothing about 3080 hybrids. Not until now.

Vertical mounting isn't hard to do today. Phanteks makes a $40 kit that fits right into all the dynamic cases. And it looks aesthetically better, hiding wires coming out of your MOBO, etc. Get rid of all your clearance worries, go vertical mount.

I was considering going vertical. But I didn't want to get rid of the bottom fans, and I know that the Lian Li vertical GPU mount takes up those slots. I see that that one doesn't, so that's nice. Might be something to consider. Though you lose out on the additional FPS from the RGB on the backplate of the GPU...

If I'm reading this correctly, it's just Hybrids going out today and any suggestions that HC were going out too was a mistake?

Per Jacob on Twitter: (Can't post a link yet)
Sorry misread. Some HYBRID starting going out today. HC not yet.
