I can't believe that I've never seen a case setup like this. It's amazing. I love the way you have utilized the space. I've been trying to figure out how to do some of the same things to my current case. Apparently to do it right you gotta do it like this. Love it, and keep up the good work!

Excited to see those Red Scorpion's in action, and dear god your cuts are accurate as crap!

 
LOL!!! 5 months with a ruler in hand paid off well.....I think we can rule out ADD ever affecting me!!!

The aluminum angle was finally finished and started to make the cut's and drill all the holes. I found out working with black anodized aluminum is much harder to work with considering it's black
 
After a few trials of attempting to mark the angle I turned to some painting masking tape, applied it, and made the marks on that, problem solved!!! Although the stuff still scratches easily...had to be careful...
 
I did cut the bottom and top case panels to see how accurate my aluminum measurements were, this time they were .1 to .3 millimeters off. No big deal as the drill holes are 1.5mm larger than the screws themselves.

This is how many pieces are in the case...something tells me I need to come up with a better idea to hold and support the case...any suggestions???? I could go with thicker acrylic but cost would rise!!!

Ok, I consider my self an idiot for painting the acrylic black....lesson learned the hard way!!! After cutting a few pieces of the case the laser left slight marks around some of the cuts. Too much heat on the paint, it looked ok, but I wasn't liking what I saw, so I spent the good part of Monday removing all the black paint from the acrylic hoping I didn't ruin it. After removal I spent time and polished all the pieces and set them aside as we will not be using the flourescent red in this build. It won't match the color scheme as we thought.

So an order was placed yesterday for black, transparent red, and smoked acrylic for the build.

Here's some shots of the pieces cut, the pieces were covered in black paint, but not anymore...

This project is cool as you know what. Don't know why you labeled the post "I'm an idiot" quite the opposite. There's always gonna be a little trial and error. Looks like it's progressing quite nicely. Who ever this case is for is one lucky person. :)

Were putting this color (fluorescent red) aside and switching to transparent red and black to match better, unfortunately it won't be here until the 13th.

In the meantime im hoping I can get the micro box done this weekend....
