Aye, I thought I unsubscribed from the Thread. I really wait for any 3090 info on my queue list. And there has been no recorded movement since 3-4 weeks on that card.
I also looked for another 3090 but didn't find anything in stock or reasonable at price.
Really wondering what is happening with the 3080TI.

Really wondering what is happening with the 3080TI.
3080ti may be not even a thing before 2022 imho. they're deep in the mud with the silicon drought and i suppose they want to have some stocks of bad 3090 chips to repurpose them as 3080ti. as for 3090 if you want a good price you need to use a bot for stocks on amazon or similar, otherwise retail prices are totally nuts rn. Caseking have an evga 3090 at 2900€, other brands go for 3000€.

Try bestbuy in the US, a dude I know he got a 3090 FE from there just 2 weeks ago with 1499$, but you need to have a US address to receive the package and have someone send it to you (some company have this servics)
and patient to wait for the right timing and luck to get it, he told me it every tuesday and thursday they will release some 3090 with reasonable price, it is all about luck if you can get it :)

i managed to catch and ordered one from Germany.

is it expensive? Hell yeah!! But at least on my name and i can register the card with the invoice and didnt paid 2200+ for it!
but still i see as soon some of the 3080s hit a store - you can take a look 30min later on ebay or some local platform ebay like and they will be already listed.
Too bad but mining... :)

Well, i was not going for that move BUT i dont believe that i could pay more for a 3080Ti then i will get for selling my 3080 Ftw3 Ultra to a good Miner in Switzerland :))) According to market stocks and teslas been hyped her so much and nvidias last move to release VMs to be able to access gpus - the new GPUs 3080Ti and 3070Ti shouldnt be able to mine if i'm not wrong? Or did i missunderstud that? But well - everything what gets blocked by a software can also be bypassed of course... But i definitelly learned my lesson and will try to pre-order or get one on time this release. looks really nice tho! Since i'm having 360hz asus the 3070Ti could be beast for me. I hope that all step ups 3070ftw3 ultras will get gddr6 replaced with gddr6x so we can order them fast :))

DaBogo, congrats on your new card  can you please link where you got the card? My 1080ti is acting up-most likely not long for this world.  I have 5 notifies going back to 21 Sept 2020, from what I can see the EU notify is a sick joke; have bought EVGA cards since the GF8800 in 2008-and I'm an 'elite' member apparently, but they can't be arsed selling me a card.. Never thought I'd see the day €1.4K for a GPU was appealing to me.

It depends on whether Nvidia changed their mining block methods. If it's the same anti-ethereum mining block thing they put in the 3060... The 30XX Ti will still be sold out instantly, because there are other cryptocurrencies you can still mine at full speed. From what I understand, those other currencies aren't as profitable as ethereum, but they're still very profitable. If NVIDIA somehow managed to block all crypto mining (difficult to believe), then you still have to compete with the armies of GPU starved Gamers as well as Scalpers. Because keep in mind, you can't blame miners for console prices being insane as well. Yet console prices are insane too. I have a friend who works at a medium sized local retail store as a logistics guy. He said that one of their suppliers has PS5 listed at 1000€+ as wholesale prices. Their suppliers also raised 3060 wholesale prices through the roof when the news broke that the mining block had been circumvented... But at the same time, he said 2020 was the most profitable year their company had ever, because the general demand for electronics went up considerably. Presumably because people are staying home and want PCs/Consoles/TVs to stave off the boredom. So, while it's easy to blame one specific group for all the problems, the reality is that as long as the global logistics and supply issues continue due to COVID, general component shortages, TSMC manufacturing woes due to drought issues, cryptocurrency mining craze and other causes, I wouldn't bet on prices to fall to rational levels any time soon.

The mining block (and removal) was a screw up on nvidia's part.....or perhaps a "deliberate screw up"? Who knows?!
Apparently someone accidentally released an "internal only" version of the driver which had the mining functionality enabled. It was I believe, quickly taken down, but at that stage the damage was done. The old driver was "out there", and we all know once the genie is out of the bottle, impossible to put it back in. So all anyone had to do was download that specific old driver for their 3060 and they were all set, even though newer drivers had the mining functionality disabled - miners don't really care if they have bug fixed some Ray Tracing API - an old driver will work perfectly fine for mining.
In other news TSMC also posted this 4 day ago.....

While it's not exactly a surprise, I must admit (perhaps naively) I was expecting the situation to improve in the 2nd half of the year. My logic was that "Hell even if supply isn't great, in Sept it will be nearly 12 months out" surely at that stage most people would have gotten one, and even the miners wouldn't be clamoring over them. The hash rate complexity increases when you add horsepower to the pool, so I figured the miners would be less inclined to invest as the hash rate needed would have already jumped from the previous cards added to the pool.
Ahh hell....what do I know !? :-)

Apologizes, I/they didn't explain that very well. TSMC announcing shortages and that they expect thing not to get better until 2022 is more a opinion on the "state of the market" rather than Nvidia production. That said, the flip side of the coin there is if they are producing ALL of AMD's cards, and they are saying that they will have shortages, then that would by nature even further increase the pressure on Samsung produced chips (if they bloody had any!) - making it even harder to get Nvidia based GPUs. TSMC is one of the largest fabricator. Ironically, considering the HUGE deluge of rain last year in South East Asia/China...... people are praying for rain in the region. gizmochina.com/2021/03/31/tsmc-price-increase-rumors/ Just gets from bad to worse, doesn't it?

08G-P5-3767-KR 10/29/2020 6:39:05 AM PT YES I had major issues on the final step with this message: PayPal transaction failure. Please try again later on. (Error) : The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request... It was a nightmare. I tried with 3 linked debit cards in Paypal even Paypal Balance, different browsers (PC/phone). I don't know what caused the issue but after 20 or so attempts I managed to order the card. I have EVGA Bucks in my profile and when I didn't try to use them and I was on my phone "the magic" happened. Did any of you got this error during the process? So no idea if EVGA bucks caused the problem. I have contacted support hope they can bring some more info about it.

Yeah, although to be fair, it's probably only the big boys like MSI/EVGA/etc who have numbers of significance. I'd say others are dropping, but their numbers are so small that they are barely detected in the 2-3 nanoseconds before the bots buy them out.
Also, it's many of retailers who are getting the inflated prices as opposed to the fabricators - though I fear for the 4x series cards. If people like Nvidia/EVGA/MSI see that people are willing to buy cards at €1500-2000, well.... I can't see the prices being comparable (MSRP that is) with the 3x series.

Yes people, it's the 3060 Ti XC again... 7 more minutes added to the head of the queue.
This has been a good week with moves in all days so far, let us hope we can break the EU record and reach a full week of self-reported emails, because that means more people got their cards.
