You should be fine. I too signed up without an account and they showed up under My Notifies. Not having an account will not drop you from the queue :)

thanks for the answer... but I dont see anything under My Notifies... hopefully you are right :)

Nice to see people on this forum getting cards - even if it's many months after we started this journey.

Your 6 month record will most certainly be beaten on the 3080 queue. It has been dead silent for far longer than I would like.

Good Evening, here is the daily status for the EU queues.
Single file day, but a sizable move on the 3060Ti Gaming line, it has moved about 1 hour foward, now entering the afternoon of 6th December.

That's not a record I'm proud of! - but it's been awhile since I published a comparison of the NA and EU queues.

Unfortunately it looks like the 3090 FTW3 Ultras are falling ever more behind our North American cousins. It was 17 days, now it's 27 days! While I personally got my 3090 (and I love it), I think it might be time for EVGA to show the EU folks some love there on the 3090!! :-) If not complete parity, then it should be in the same ballpark as NA! Similarly the 3070 XC3 Ultra is lagging more than you could attribute to normal fluctuations. Others though are in about the same and there's even a few skus still ahead in Europe, though as previously noted that's (probably) because the queue went "live" 4-5 days after the NA one did.

I did come across a video on you tube which I'll share here giving some background into the state of the market. Most (all?) of us here will already know all this, but perhaps some users will find it useful.

youtube.com/watch?v=BEQMfF-DKr8

Sadly the outlook it gives isn't great, but the queues (as much as they tormented me over the months) are probably one of the best avenues at the moment.

Don't want to jinx it any further, but imagine how many containers of PC hardware intended for Europe are aboard ships stuck in and around the Suez canal ;P

I think we're good on that one. EU customers (on the queue) get their cards via airmail, specifically by UPS. I know this as I got one myself.
Very good service. Got the email on Tuesday. Ordered the card immediately of course, and then by the following Monday I had the card in Ireland. Routing was - originated in Taiwan, then went to Hong Kong. Then Leipzig in Germany, then finally Dublin.

Course, your right, I expect a lot of cards stuck elsewhere which are taking the "scenic route".

That's great for the queue, but that's per order shipping then, isn't it? I wonder why stock in the official queue is such an issue in that case, since it's coming straight from the source. Low allotment to their own store perhaps. Meh, I'm sure it's been discussed before and this changes nothing. Have a good weekend everyone! I'm done hijacking the thread!

I raised that very question multiple times Atrumitos, even postulated a few arguments and was told to "stop whining". Ohh how I laughed :-)

While I don't have any hard data for EVGA's specific case, I do know a little how these things generally normally work.  Companies, will internally break down the supply into "channels" and they will allocated percentages of production to these channels, usually favoring B2B (business-to-business) customers like Dell, HP etc. Meaning that companies which ship components like ready built computers will be able to ship their computers with GPU's in them. Makes sense they would prioritize those. As much as we want to kill noobs on "Operation Metro" or something - I guess we don't want computer companies folding for lack of GPUs.

Following that they'll have to give some to retailers (like Amazon, NewEgg) where they have contracts, and lastly some will go to the queue(s). Where it gets interesting to me is (as you say) it's one source so why does the NA queue seem to move faster than the EU one. That would appear (again no data) to be an internal EVGA decision to allocate more there than EU - at least for some SKUS. So it's a situation I would hope they have the power to rectify. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's certainly interesting.

Note: You shouldn't feel like your hijacking the thread - that's what we're all here for. Ain't my thread, it's everyone's.

Its frustrating that the card im looking at 3755 is stuck on 44 minutes after time of launch, which is also exactly my timestamp, while in America they are 15 days along

An etailer in Finland (jimms.fi) has had plenty of RTX 3060, 3070 and 3090 stock of other brands for a week now, but at sky high prices. I consider this good news as for the first time the supply and demand are at equilibrium for those cards at the current prices. This also should reduce EVGA card demand a bit, as the most impatient will pull the trigger even with the high prices. At the same time I'm a bit sad that EVGA seems not to produce RTX 3080 XC3 black at all currently, the one which I'm queuing :(

Odd that it may seem, but I'd say that the 3090's may come into stock than the 3070 (and definitely 3080's).

3090's are probably the one sku that miners aren't interested in much...well smart miners anyway. They only offer like ~20% performance bump for like nearly double the price, so if you were a miner looking at your hashrate verses Kw/Hr usage and the price, the 3090 is pretty unattractive - so they'll probably pass in favor of 3070's or 3080's

Out of curiosity Epoxi, why the 3080 Black? The XC3 Ultra gaming gives a nice clock boost for an extra €30. Sorry, just nosey :-)

Ah yes that must be why RTX 3090's are in stock now in addition to their ridiculous prices. People only need them for 4K gaming and some niche kind of work.
3080 XC3 Ultra was 50€ more here in Finland at the time I ordered Black, didn't find it worthwhile. XC3's in general are the very few 3080 GPUs that will fit my Dan A4 case.

Any updates to the 3090 EVGA FTW Ultra? Also do you think that 3080TI is real? Will it be so much better than a 3080 2K wise?

More sadness today, Wifey bought me the Lian-Li Strimer Plus Triple 8pin, couple that with the alphacool waterblock I already have and I'm just missing the GPU now

Come on EVGA send some love to the EU queue, I know I didn't sign up til Xmas eve but it's the 3090

(I would accept jumping the queue as an option and I'm sure no one else would mind terribly much for a poor suffering soul just looking at his bits and pieces )

Re: What's going on with EU and 3080's? 2021/03/30 07:36:41 (permalink)
Ach, that hurts Dwarfy.

Not to rub salt here, I received my 3090 Ultra last week, and I have to say I've been overall pretty happy with it. First of all, in terms of value for money, it's a terrible buy over the 3080 - and I mean terrible!  I mentioned it above as a reason why miners aren't overly keen on it, but at nearly double the price of a 3080 for maybe ~20% extra firepower you'd have to have a good reason for it. If SLI was still "a thing", I guess 2x3080's would be the way to go, but alas.... I miss those days where we could "up the ante" as needed.

I think that's why overall the 3070/3080's are near impossible to get. Fiscally your just better off with anything other than a 3090 at the moment - assuming you can actually get your hands on "anything". :-(

So why did I get one? In my case, I'm running a home built flightsim setup with 3 x 2560x1440 (27" inch) screens. With my "old" (EVGA 2080Ti FTW) I was getting low 20's FPS on Ultra settings, and maxing' out the 11gb of VRAM also.  It's hard to say if it was actually bottlenecking on VRAM as while it was allocating nearly all the 11gb, it simply may not have been doing much with it. So dropping down to 10gb (3080) wasn't a great option, and while the 3080Ti might be a better value card for me, who knows when we'll see that announced officially - or when you can order off a website without losing a kidney.

3090 gives me mid 30's/low 40's, which sounds poor if your coming from a first person shooter where you want 80-100 FPS, but 30 FPS is a perfectly acceptable target for FlightSims. Stuff just doesn't move fast enough .... or your doing something wrong :-)

Hang in there man - hope it's not too bad.

I know it's terrible and that's why I was kinda undecided, Once I was solid in my decision I ordered the Alphacool (https://www.alphacool.com/shop/gpu-water-cooler/nvidia-fullsize/28349/alphacool-eisblock-aurora-acryl-gpx-n-rtx-3080/3090-ftw3-with-backplate) waterblock and even bought a complete watercooling setup as currently running an AIO on the CPU (Fractal S36)

So under my desk at current is the full cooling setup (https://www.alphacool.com/shop/new-products/22290/alphacool-eissturm-hurricane-copper-45-3x120mm-complete-kit?c=22312) Lian-Li strimer plus MB and triple 8pin (https://lian-li.com/product/strimer-2-24pin) and some bits and pieces.

I am commited to the EVGA FTW and my chances are higher for the 90, plus I have some  bucks to spend too LOL

I'm just waiting on the card to install it all.

Good Evening, here is the daily status for the EU queues.
The 3070 FTW3 Ultra has moved foward 6 minutes and it was too dusty to write anything funny or silly.

Yeah, kudos to Bovine to doing the mileage there - week after week churning out the status reports. Respect.
By the way, after my entry in the 3090 queue there was like 7-8 days until the next entry in the spreadsheet. So it _could_ be that cards were dropping but we simply don't detect that they've dropped. Similar with other queues I'd hope.

Well, hey we should think that's the case :-) ....but in reality.....they aint' moving fast or as fast as we'd like.
