don't forget about taxes! I don't know about your country, but in EU many countries offer 0% or even negative rates on savings! And you still need to pay your yearly taxes... not a good deal to have big savings!

Obviously build a great awesome rig with no consideration of cost, id do this for my whole family of gamers. Then buy a huge piece of land with plenty of trees and build my house several yards back from the road.

I would invest some so it keeps earning enough money so one could live off the interest and still make some more. Then resign from work, maybe think about sharing with a co worker or two.. Like pay of their mortgage and bolster their savings for their kids futures. Tell the bosses and other co workers that I never liked what I really think of them and walk out the door. Set up a family farm acreage, far enough away from the city and get the family sorted. If the interest earns enough, help out selected charities can that do make a difference. Or find someone randomly where you can make a genuine difference and change their lives onto a better path.
