Honestly, retire, build a brand spanking new modern house (but with a rustic look) in the woods, but not too far from a city; set up a well equipped workshop and spend my time tinkering and working on random projects and mods. Pretty sure I'd be set for life barring a world war or something.

Just "invest" means you're likely day-trading (or paying someone to day trade for you). Volatile. You can lose EVERYTHING that way. Also, the returns on that sort of thing, even when you're moderately successful are small. 1: Hire a set of lawyers. Main legal representative, financial planner, estate planner, etc. 2: Give your current phone to your main lawyer. 3: Get a new phone and number. 4: Pay all your debts. Possibly keeping a small amount of debt that looks good on your credit report. 5: Buy/build/furnish a MODEST home and a buy decent car. 6: Decide on a budget for your allowance. 7: Drop an allowance for the first year in a savings account. 8: Drop your allowance for the succeeding 4 years in CDs with the highest interest rate you can find. 9: Talk with your financial planner about sound, steady investment strategies. You won't make HUGE returns. But you'll make returns. If you want to be "daring", reserve 10-25% of your investment for "high risk, high return" investments. 10: Periodically liquidate investments to replenish your allowance accounts. In the end, if you're trying to keep the thing perpetual, you're looking at maybe $40-50K a year. BUT, with a home owned free and clear and a nice investment in net-neutral/net-positive energy, 40-50K can go a LONG way. For example, if you did something DUMB, like eating at McDonalds for your "3 square a day", you'd still have more than half your budget left.
