I've been having a rough time looking for a new high refresh display. I have a 144Hz PG279Q now but want something either 4k 144Hz or 1440p 240Hz. 
 
The Asus PG27UQ is discontinued by Asus. The Predator X27 is out of stock everywhere. I actually owned a PG27UQ a year ago and returned it because the backlight bleed was awful and the fan noise was annoying.

HP Reverb will be the heavy lifting for my 3080.
 
Were it not for sim racing and the Reverb, I would be happy to sit on my 1080Ti Black and 1080p 34" ultrawide.

I've paired my 3090 FTW3 with a LG 27GN950 4K 144Hz and it's little brother the 27GL850 1440p 144Hz.
 
It's really obvious that LG has gotten better at making the GL850 because I think I have a perfect panel for that one, no BLB and extremely minimal IPS glow. The GN950 on the other hand. The glow is much more noticeable but it's not too noticeable unless the ambient light level is low and the screen is dark. Still not sure about whether to keep it or not, this is my second one as I had to return the first one for horrendous IPS glow.

I've got an Acer XB270HU Bprz WQHD monitor that is a predecessor to the Predator. 27 in 1440P that is over-clocked to 165 hz. No need for me to upgrade anytime soon given it's top-notch performance. I've also got a C9 at home that I connect to -so that I can watch F1 in HDR.

I'm using a predator x27 monitor which is also next to a 65" LG c9 OLED so i plan to use both once I get my card tomorrow

Acer XG270HU 1440p 144hz Gsync compatible ... i thing with the 3080 2k is best way to play all game fps and solo ... play in 144hz was the best ... i dont think i will sell this monitor for a 4k monitor just for 60hz ... i will play tomb raider etc on my 4k tv in 60hz and the rest of game on this monitor ! i think for change for 4 k monitor waiting the serie 4000 for have more of 60hz .. because 4k 144hz monitor is to expensive for this moment  !! and no game was 144hz with this card for the moment !

My LG panel came in and the difference between 1440p 80hz and 4k 144hz is great. Dont think I can go back now, used to say 1440p was enough haha

I recently replaced my Asus PG348Q with an LG 38GL950G so my 3090 can stretch it’s legs trying to reach the 160hz of the LG.
Very happy with the new monitor and no regrets with this purchase.

I had 2 x HP 32q (2560x1440) 32" panels but bought an LG 38GL950G to replace one of them.

I ended up going with the LG 27GN950-B. It’s by far the best monitor I’ve ever owned, and I’ve got no complaints at all. To my aging eyes, the picture quality is phenomenal. G-Sync, HDR, and VRR all seem to be working perfectly with my 3090 FTW3 Ultra.
 
I also have a LG 65C9AUA OLED TV that I hope to try out if they can fix the firmware to work properly with VRR.

My Main monitor is LG 34UC89G-B 34-Inch 21:9 UltraWide IPS G-SYNC @ 144hz. 2560x1080.
Now I know this monitor is wasted on my 3090. The resolution is just too low, and does feel very dated.
My second monitor is a PG279Q which is 1440p and has the same or better specs, but I dig the Ultrawide so much, I just can't go back to 16:9!
 
I'm in the market for my dream monitor right now, but nothing checks all the boxes. The closest is the G9, but I don't want a 32:9 for a bunch of reasons like how I'd have to replace my wall mounted arm with something built for more weight... and that I watch a lot of movies and shows which would mean half the space would just be black bars. And I wouldn't have the desk space for my second display without some serious doing.
 
I want a 38" 21:9 @ 3840 X 1600 200hz+ with Gsync and HDR1000
But it doesn't exist, and considering the price of things that come close to those specs, I'm better off just getting a G9 and dealing with the things I don't like.
 
I'll see what they show off at next years CES before I make any decisions.

I was debating getting the new Acer Predator 34" UW with 200Hz refresh and HDR, but usually with all effects towards high/ultra on my 3080 FTW, I'm not getting much beyond my refresh rate anyhow.
I think 1440 Ultrawide is the sweet spot for this tier of hardware. Great immersion with the Ultrawide, all the bells and whistles, and solid frame rates. They have a few 4k Ultrawides, but I'd be getting like 30 FPS. lol
