I LOVE it! My old Z390 Maximus Hero not so much, I recently switched to an MSI Z390 Gamin Pro Carbon, MUCH better. I RMA'd that Asus board twice, 3 brand new boards all buggy. They make some amazing products, but there are a few stinkers in the mix. I've read their QC is not very good, but I don't know if that is true or not. Luckily my monitor is amazing, for 2 years now! Nice! I bought mine in April 2017 from Newegg. Not one issue looks exactly the same as I bought it. I have heard there CS is crap. Just glad I haven't needed it either.

I have only tried to contact tech ASUS tech support ONCE. I bought a Strix Flare keyboard and within 3 months half the LEDs were burnt out. I could not even find a PHONE NUMBER, it was all web-only. There may be one, but don't ask me where it is, I looked for an hour. Luckily, my motherboard RMAs were handled through NewEgg, because it was within 30 days, and they are amazing. I've owned quite a few ASUS products in the past and they were always rock solid. Currently, this monitor and the Strix 2080 Ti OC I just sold (for 1K 2 days ago thanks to the "Nvidia failure to launch" making their value shoot up) were both amazing. But once you do run into a problem and they are not there to back up their warranty...well..... I really miss ABIT, if you're old enough to remember them. They made some mainboards, clearly aimed at competing with ASUS, that were better or on par and cheaper ! Yes, I'm old, lol.

I turned 50 last month so been around the block also. Evga CS is the best and really trying to move all-in on EVGA. But my monitors will stay ASUS.

Literally just ordered this guy today. After a ton of research, I decided I wasn't willing to give up the UW 21:9 format, the 32:9 monitors are too large for my desk, and I'm willing to sacrifice some HDR performance for all the plusses this guy checks off. https://www.lg.com/us/mon...L950G-B-gaming-monitor

Wow, really nice dude congrats on that. May it have many years of life I just bought this today to use it as a monitor sometimes. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-65-class-cx-series-oled-4k-uhd-smart-webos-tv/6401850.p?skuId=6401850 And I am around 3 or 4 mins away from getting that e-mail for the 3080FTW3 Ultra hopefully next week. I am one poor man by the end of this month but happy I might be having a mid-life crisis. Oh well live life to the fullest lol

Much appreciated and I feel you on being broke now, heh. My current monitor (34" Samsung 21:9) lasted me almost 6 years and I have been more than happy with it, especially since at 3440x1440 I was barely getting a solid 60FPS with max setting in most AAA games (with RTX off, lol). But now that I have this 3090, I feel that having a 60hz monitor is a waste. The higher resolution and much higher refresh rate should solve that. What really did it for me was turning Vsync off in Doom Eternal. With everything on "nightmare mode" for graphics settings I was sitting at 245FPS. I was like "yup, time for a new monitor".

I currently use a lg 65CX, but will be getting a 48cx soon for my game room. I would buy a lg 27gn950-b if it was 32in. 27 just too small for me, as I often like to recline back and play with a controller. As for the CX, it’s nigh perfect: 4k120hz, gsync, oled with perfect contrast And deep blacks, beautiful HDR, 1ms response. Only downside is burn in, but I’m cognizant of it, and am careful not to leave static HUD elements. I use a second monitor, lg gl850 as my chat window when streaming, etc.

To all of you getting excited about Asus monitors: take note of how many people have had horrible experiences with their customer service. If you get one that works, you got lucky, and I'm happy for you, but if you choose to buy anything made by them, be ready for them to weasel out of taking any responsibility for their products. I had a monitor completely fail a full year before it went out of warranty (display suddenly started getting random lines appearing on it and then became completely unusable), and they refused to honor the warranty at all. It was a beautiful rog swift monitor while it worked that then became a thousand dollar paperweight. I will never give Asus another cent and will wait for someone else to make a 2160p ultrawide hdr monitor with a decent refresh rate before purchasing a new monitor. Until then my 1440p ultrawide alienware monitor will do.

Right now I have a Acer Predator X34p 100Hz UWQHD (wonderful monitor) + a older PB278Q 60Hz WQHD setup. My 1080Ti drives them fine but I do not mind a upgrade. I want to go a surround setup when I can with monitors that fit my checklist of wants, ill wait until my wants are all checked before I sell my X34p. That would be a IPS, Curved UWQHD, 2ms or less response time, native 120Hz with Native GSync, HDR400 or better. (DCI-P3 98% Colour, Native 10-Bit, Quantum Dot are all nice haves but not needed) I know LG has a monitor or two that is close, but not quite there and I would like to avoid LG if possible.
As long as your popular enough, you can get away with anything.

Same, same. I'm waiting for Dell's version of the 38GL950G-B. Uses the same panel, but probably more matured, and their build quality and warranty are a thousand times better. It's also supposed to be cheaper, starting at 1500USD. It's also 600HDR for what it's worth. I have the aw3418dw atm and it's honestly fantastic, so this feels like a direct upgrade.

Alienware AW3418DW, 3440 x 1440 @ 100/120Hz (depending on the game). I don't plan on upgrading monitor any time soon because I've only had this one about 2 years, and I honestly love it. Eventually I'd like to upgrade to a 38" 3840x1600 or whatever that resolution is they do that's by 1600, though that pixel increase squeaks you much closer to 4K than 1440p at that point, that's a lotta pixels to drive. It's always interesting watching gaming benchmark reviews on new cards at 1440p & 4K and then trying to figure out exactly where in between 1440p & 4K a particular game will be on my resolution. Usually it's a little to the 1440p side of halfway.
