I have two 38" Ultrawides stacked vertically on Ergotron arms. Bottom is an Alienware AW3821DW (3840x1600 144Hz) and top is an Acer CZ380CQK (3840x1600 75Hz). The LG Nano IPS panel is much quicker and brighter than older IPS panels, very happy with it. I did consider the CX48 as it also cost around $1400, but it would have been too large to use a secondary monitor with it.

Came from a 1080Ti FTW3 and upgraded to a 3070 FTW3, but definitely need the 3080/3080Ti to get optimal performance for AAA games. It's not quite 4K 144Hz, but it's about 75% there.

Samsung Odyssey G9, and I love it so far :-P Both the monitor and the surprisingly still great performance from that resolution increase going from 3440 x 1440 to 5120 x 1440.

Hey Dabadger! Congrats on your new KPE Hybrid! Mine is getting here Saturday!

I've had my eye on this monitor since the first Youtube videos came out. Are you having any issues? Dead pixels? Color Accuracy? Is there an active cooling fan? Is it noisy? I would also be using it for work, not just games. Any info or feedback would be great. I had a nice 27" ASUS that went to 165Hz, best gaming monitor I've used so far. That monitor was approximately half the screen space of this monitor. Can't wait to see that resolution at 240Hz!

Thanks,

I've been running a 3440x1440 Ultrawide since I had my 2080 Ti. I have a 3080 FTW3 now and it's been a nice jump. The downside to my monitor is that it caps at 120 fps, the 3080 could do more in some games.

Ive been using a CRG9 and cant wait for a 3080 hybrid to fully drive the thing at 120hz! Games like farcry 5 and dirt rally 2.0 will be silky smooth.

LG C9 OLED. I also ordered the Alienware AW2721D. Based on Rtings early access review, I think it is definitely going to be their #1 ranked monitor once they release the full review.

My Samsung G9 Faker... sucks, the ghosting is horrible AF; this was the monitor I had planned on, but its complete trash. Would have sent it back to the EGG already but I've decided to use it for work applications (at least its good for something).

Asus ROG Swift PG329Q is going to be my next monitor of choice for gaming, as my ROG Swift 27" is AMAZING, the 32" is also 175hz which is awesome, so as soon as they're in stock by B&H I'm buying one.

My experience with the Samsung G7 was similar. Garbage. I don't know how that thing possibly passed Nvidas G-Sync Compatible certification. G-Sync implementation is a joke.  Also consider the AW2721D. Rtings review will be out next week and i am confident based on their early review it is going to be their higest rated 1440p monitor.

In reply to Vulcan 1978 - What? Man what CPU are you using? I have a modest GTX1070Ti and I run all my games on full settings in VR! no problem. I think there is something wrong with your PC. Its not all about the gpu.

I'm running a 48 inch LG CX with my 3090 and it's fantastic. Being able to have basically perfect HDR highlights with no halos is amazing.

I got one of these before getting my LG CX and I had issues with getting scanlines on the entire screen when going to websites such as YouTube in dark mode when having 240 Hz and G-Sync on, and it seems basically every one of these monitors have it. Shame too, I really liked it otherwise!

Running the Valve Index @ 120 or 144 Hz really require a lot of GPU power, especially on more demanding game like Fallout 4 VR.

PC specs... 5950x, asus dark hero mb, 3090 ftw3 ultra (the 3090 just died this morning and i have to rma it...), 64gb ram, 1300 watt evga power supply, etc.

I run two screens, one is the PG43UQ

With a secondary monitor, the AOC 24G2

(Sorry if these images come out huge on the forums, I tried to figure out how to make them thumbnails, but couldn't find the option to insert thumbnails in the reply option...)

Anyways, the system ran great up until the 3090 FTW3 went poof inexplicably while running a game.  I am going through the RMA process now, so should have it fixed within a week.

Just recently got the 27GN950 and absolutely loving it. I did want to get the LG CX 48", but it's just way too large for my desk and my current desk is already as big as I can fit in my room.

Most of the issues the monitor had have been resolved with firmware updates.  If it has an active cooling fan, I've never heard it, but, keep in mind A: I game with headphones, B: my system has 20 fans in it, while they are on "silent" most of the time, there is a general hum that most things aren't going to be heard over, I also have a room fan that's on some of the time that drowns out anything else.
If you're using it for work purposes, I would give Hardware Unboxed's review a watch if you haven't already.

I've been running a PG27UQ (3840x2160 144Hz HDR 1000) since mid-2019.  The 3090 can handle 5K (5120x2880) at very tolerable framerates as well and I'd totally buy a high refresh option if one magically existed today.  Either that or 5120x2160 (4K 21:9) would be nice.  Given how slow the monitor industry is, we probably won't be seeing high refresh options of those until Lovelace launches.

GPU: RTX 3090 KINGPIN | CPU: R9 5950X 4.7GHz @ 1.21V | Memory: 32GB (2x16GB) 3733MT/s 14-14-14-28 1T | Mobo: Crosshair VIII Dark Hero | Storage: WD SN850 2TB & Samsung 970 Evo Plus 2TB| Primary Display: ROG PG27UQ 4K 144Hz HDR 1000 | Chassis: Phanteks Enthoo Elite | PSU: EVGA 1600 T2

I've been running an odyssey G9 @ 240 Hz + 2 more 1440p monitors above it, feels like this is where a 3090 truly shines.

3x PG27UQ, but looking for a 240Hz low latency, IPS panel.
Not many out there, but on a lookout.

I got that monitor a couple of months ago and am very happy with it, and that's after using an ASUS PG278Q for several years previously.
