I do have some troubles... that's why I try to search for solution online. I got black screens randomly, sometimes it recovers itself and a windows popup says "NVIDIA driver xx.xxx has stopped working and recovered", other times my computer just stopped responding, I had to do a hard shutdown. This happens randomly, it occurred when I was browsing the web, reading documents, or playing games. I believe it's not a overheating issue because sometimes it just crashes when the computer is quite cool. Any ideas? Thanks!!!

Hi I installed a 9800 GT along with an Antec 450W PSU a couple days ago and I've been having driver problems since day one. More specifically I get a BSOD after putting my computer in to sleep mode saying I have a driver error. Great too bad I read this guide too late :(. I literally did everything I WASNT supposed to do. My computer starts up fine but is it possible to just revert back to an old system restore point and work forward from there? Or do I need a complete system reinstall? Please answer! EDIT: This is the BSOD message Problem signature: Problem Event Name: BlueScreen OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3 Locale ID: 1033

According to CPU-Z, my processor is AMD Athlon II X2 255 RAM: DDR3 4GB Mainboard = Motherboard? : Manufacturer: ASUSTek Computer INC. Model: M4N68T-M-V2 Rev: X.0x Chipset: Nvidia Geforece 7025 Rev: A3 Southbridge: Nvidia nForce 630a Rev: A2 LPCIO: ITE IT8721 Bios: American Megatrends Inc. Version: 0501 Date: 08/03/10 Graphic Interface: PCI-Express Link Width: x16 Max Supported x16 To be clear, I was using a ATI Radeon HD 5450 perfectly fine before. To remove it I simply used Device Manager to remove it. And I deleted the drivers in the Add/Uninstall menu, and I deleted the AMD folder in local disc c:. Here's where it gets nasty. I downloaded some drivers from Nvidia somewhere in the range of 3.00+ and then windows updated the drivers even further, then I was having even more problems so I uninstalled the drivers using Device Manager. It then spiraled from there. I think I have uninstalled the nvidia drivers and installed them using device manager multiple times so, any help would be SO APPRECIATED! EDIT: I used CCleaner tried to install them properly according to your guide. I unplugged my ethernet cord and it was somehow STILL automatically downloading the drivers for the Nvidia 9800 GT so I disabled the automatic driver install thing and now my Nvidia control panel doesn't detect my GPU

Wow, what a huge mess Download the latest version of DriverFusion http://treexy.com/thanks?file=/media/23136/driver_fusion_1.2.0.exe Run a pass for ATI/AMD -Display drivers- ONLY Now Reboot Next go into Windows Update and turn OFF "auto" updating as shown in the guide. Now get the latest Nvidia driver you want to install downloaded onto your desktop and ready..... Enter the Control panel and uninstall Nvidia drivers as shown in my guide with the Graphics driver very last... *if any entry fails to uninstall, skip it and go to the next Reboot Now run DriverFusion to clean Nvidia -DISPLAY DRIVERS ONLY- **WARNING** -->You have a Nvidia based chipset. DO NOT clean any Nvidia entries--> except for the Nvidia Display Drivers. Reboot Now launch the Nvidia driver installer on your desktop, CUSTOM/Clean as shown in the guide, Graphics driver, PhysX and Clean install checked. Reboot That should fix any display errors, but because your Windows 7 install is not completely updated (as shown below in your error report) *OS Version: 6_1_7600 *Service Pack: 0_0 you may continue to have sleepmode errors. I highly suggest installing SP1 for Win7 and then fully updating your OS -again- with the more recent post SP1 patches. If you continue to have sleep mode issues, they are most likely due to running such a old MB and BIOS. You might have to consider simply turning off the sleepmode functions

So there's no possibility of using sleep mode anymore? I was able to use it just fine up until I changed my card to the Nvidia 9800 GT

Get your driver mess cleaned up with the steps listed above, and then get your Win7 install updated That might fix the SleepMode issues for you *Only if all the above does not work, should you consider not using it

Nquyen When using Driver Fusion do I do it in Safe Mode? Just follow the instructions, the program will guide you thru the process. *Remember, do NOT clean for anything but the ATI/AMD display drivers and (later) for the Nvidia DISPLAY DRIVERS. Your motherboard has a Nvidia chipset and Nvidia chipset drivers that MUST NOT BE removed

Double check your connections, both at the card itself and at the monitor. What is showing in the Device Manager? Did you update Windows?

No not yet, also not entirely sure how to do that lol. Side note, went into Device Manager and there's a yellow exclamation point on the driver saying Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

The card isn't being detected since I deleted the old drivers and I went to computer---> (right click) properties---> system protection --> hardware --> device installation settings --> Then selected "No never install driver software from windows updates" This is such a pain in the ass, but I'd like to thank you for your help so far.

It didn't work :(, so how do I do a repair install? It should also be noted that when I right click my desktop there is no Nvidia control center option, I have to go into the start menu to find it. Also when restarting my computer there appears to be green artifacts on the asus initial screen.

just put in the Windows 7 install disk and choose "Repair" After its done.. dont do anything (do NOT open you browser) but go to Windows Update and do the first batch of updates (about 50 and SP1) then it will want a reboot, after that keep going back to Windows Update untill it shows nothing left (maybe 3-4 times)

hey,i have a big problem, for the last 2 weeks i am only about to try and solve this problem.i even try yesterday the Nvidia chat live support and it was end with the solution that i should replace the card, but i am sure there is a solution for that, and it's not necessarily about replace the card. ok,i have a Geforce GTX 260 192 sp 65mm,everything was fine and i decided to overclock the card to get better perfomence.i started the process, everyting was stable, good temps,my max temp is 75C,there is a big improvement on benchmarks,BUT when i finally enter one of my games,i saw that it's work less well then before,i check another games and all of them work less better.on one game the overall perfomance are less well then before,on other game i got FPS drop every few seconds so it's make it not playable.i have try everything, but nothing new under the sun.the max stable OC for me is:Core 576\740 Shader 1242\1480 Memory 999\1080 but there is no improvement on games at all while on benchmarks everything is good.THE WORST THING IS that i back to the stock clocks and the problem still on,again i check on benchmarkes and the perfomence are the same as before but the games running less well. please help me,i know there is a solution for that, just need to find it.

What program were you using to overclock? Uninstall it -completely- do NOT save any profiles, data or settings, they must be deleted. Reboot -->without the program installed. Now reinstall the program BUT DO NOT make any changes to the card (NO CHANGES to clock rates, memory speed, fan control) Now test (at complete stock) and see if the issues still occur....

I have a problem with my Nvidia GTS 360 M. After installing driver 301.42 when I play videogames suddenly different weird squared pixels appear. When I use other programs there are no problems, these things appear only in games. I tried to unistall and reinstall the drivers following your guide and I also used older drivers. Should I try to delete Nvidia display registry entries? How can I post a screenshot of my games to show you the problem? I'm new. Thanks.
