GPU 2-A, is the favorite for the driver to throw into Physx without my GTS450 installed. Even wackier is that I can force 3-Way SLI by dedicating one of the -A (as opposed to B) GPUs to Physx.

Re:Post Your Quad SLI Systems Everyone! 2012/02/16 11:39:29 (permalink)
ahhh nice ! Many thanks man!

That is interesting since the SLI 96x CSAA modes are not there, very interesting. I had thought it would be in the list since each Fermi chip can do FSAA x32, so when using 3 of the 4 chips you'd expect that you can do 96 samples to be in that FSAA modes list also, that being 3x 32 = 96 right

But then again, it does make sense, since I don't have the SLI 48x modes either. my G200-400-B1 GPU's do FSAA x16 each, so if I'd use 3 of the 4 GPU's I should have the 48x mode also, 3x 16 = 48, but I don't either for that same case

As for my setup it can do 3-Way SLI, but I needed to select GPU 2-B for Dedicated PhysX to get 3-Way SLI instead of GPU 2-A

Which you can see here:

Well Gold, you should see my post on here in about a week hopefully. So stoked!

Sweeeeeeet!!!!

Well we oughta try and find other owners of these ultra rare EVGA GTX 295 Red Editions, I really plan on making a world owner list, I am sure there are more owners than WOLF_TEAM_LEADER and us, there just has to be, right?

Anyhoo I can't wait for pics of your setup, I also would be interested how the EVGA logo's are placed on the sides of your cards, the first two batches that are the first 20 cards had this logo upside down, all later models have it upright heh, makes me wonder also what the PCB Dates are of your cards, you can find this out be removing the backplate :)

Since the Revision of all GTX 295 RE's are Rev.B1 this is something I take as noted.
That you have a matched pair like me too, this is just good news, I really hope you take good care of them, I did not even OC mine, OCIng these cards will only make their life span shorter and that as collector is never my plan.

Please make some ultra sharp photo's man, I am really looking forward to this!

It's that I can only wonder what they would look like in your build

Please re-read the topic's goal, this is for Dual GPU Quad SLI setups not 4-Way SLI ones

Want to learn how blow 650 dollars on a graphics card, be a tard like myself and buy a third 590 and then read that you cant  3 way SLI it. I even broke the second row of connectors on the three way bridge and stuck it on hoping it would work.

its my email address name. I don't like spam mail, but anyway: sucks that they can't figure out how to sli 3 gtx 590s.....I have been building my own rigs since ATI Radeon 8500 first version about 12 years ago. Thing is I went from dual 560ti's, which you cant 3 way sli to 590 sli's. duh!  I should of went with 580 three way, OC versions.

Re:Post Your Quad SLI Systems Everyone! 2012/03/11 07:21:38 (permalink)
ah okay well welcome to the club then nice build btw man!
Quad SLI can beat 3way SLI setups easilly due to the more CUDA cores they have in advance ;)

It's what my Quad SLI GTX 295 RE setup proved against my mate's 3way SLI GTX 275 setup :)
since a GTX 295 is a Dual GTX 275 solution in a single card @ GTX 260 speeds as GPU/CUDA cores/Ram speeds go

Nice 590s. Very nice.

@GL, bad news, my cards seem like they've died, no idea why but both went south. Gonna RMA the one I can and pick up a 295 MARS instead. So no more Quad SLI fun for me.

Re:Post Your Quad SLI Systems Everyone! 2012/03/12 06:27:10 (permalink)
hmm careful with them MARS I's they seem to have a design flaw, their side exhaust was made too short, it's like 13rd of the length of what it should of been.

It needs very good airflow and a good side fan to help the card get rid of it's hot air it ejects from it's side exhaust.

Here my GTX 295 Red Editions which is identical to a normal Dual PCB'ed GTX 295:

Here a GTX 295 MARS Edition:

As you can see the side exhaust is very small on the Mars, so you will have to place your side fan to a point so it covers the area it needs to suck away hot air via the side fan and out the case.

This is how I use the side fan, this way it helps the GTX 295 RE's get rid of their hot air:

So with your MARS You may need to move the side fan more towards the rear of the case, to help your card get rid of it's intensive heat

If I get a MARS, I'd be so happy, always dreamed of getting the 003/1000 one hehe, in regards to my username. I used to run my fan right on the side vent of my old air one 295 though, 3000RPM kept the load temps on that card at about 75C.

I found some old pics too.

That you are getting the 003/1000 card is very cool indeed it suits your nickname and man I understand the thrill of that all the way in every aspect Hah! Just a brilliant find mate!  Congrats for that one!

That is some sweet stuff man, you can try obtaining a second Mars for Quad SLI
Collecting VGA cards is not acheap thing though, it can be very addictive too haha, oh dears! brbruuuds!

Actually them ASUS GTX 295 MARS Editions should not be hard to get, since they are no way near as rare as them EVGA GTX 295 Red Editions, I have seen a few MARS 295's on ebay every time also, you could check Craig's List too

I can keep a lookout for ya, as a Die Hard VGA card collector Ic an always ask around in my VGA card collectors communities also for ya man

and uhm Halo_003 you have a sweet PM tooz

Haha I don't have the 003/1000 one sadly, I would really love to get it though. I'd even be willing to get rid of my 295s to get some of those haha. Things are awesome. I saw the one on ebay, but I don't wanna pay top dollar for one.

I would much appreciate if you'd keep an eye out amoung the collectors, I'd be willing to pay up to about $400 for one. $500 for the 003/1000 one though.

Ah awesomesauce there man!!!

I would be very interested in what has been added feature wise alongside FTAA, FXAA, DX 11.1 & OGL 4.2, the amount of FSAA samples would be utmost interesting.
If you don't know what I mean, give this a read
http://forums.evga.com/fb.ashx?m=1458272

So hereby I would speculate that a GTX 690 can do FSAA x64 per chip, so one card should be able to do FSAA x128 which NV describes as SLI 128x AA

I love the GTX 295 & GTX 590 Quad SLI setups people!!!

@ takuhari

Also nice to see someone with Quad SLI GTX 295 Red Editions! hah nice, just very nice!

That really puts a bit smile on my face  Since how rare these critters really are, just brilliant!

As for your other post, that is off topic, this topic is for Dual GPU Quad SLI setups only, that are 4-Way SLI setups, it's not what this topic is looking for, sorry but I prefer to keep it on topic
