The temps looked pretty good.
40 deg C on the GPU, 53 on the hot spot.
My ambient is about 28 deg C.

I'll run some more tests to see if I can get higher.

Other bit of advice, close everything you can.  Everything.  It'll net you a few more hundred points.

OK,
I loaded the 1000W XOC BIOS.
I went with the settings in the classified tool that USMC listed above.
I set Mem Off set to +1300
Core Offset +220
1.25
1.4
1.2
400
400
level 0 for both and enabled for both

My port Royal Score went to 15,512. This is a personal record for me.
I did get a "warning message" on my on card display screen that said, "NVVDD Too High!"

But for the sake of experimenting, that is pretty cool.
I don't think I ma going to be able to get to 16k, but it is nice to see more potential of the card unlocked.

My max power draw during the test was: 653W.

Looks right to me. I locked my card at 63% during testing as I didn't want to pull more than ~650 watts. I used +1550 mem and +225 core. My max GPU temp was 34c, hot spot was 45c, mem 50c. 2220 mhz stable, ambient on that run was maybe 21-22c.

It's a real fine balance between enough power/volts for stability, and even a tiny bit more volts means exponentially more heat, which means the card won't hold the clock speeds or it'll crash (in my experience).

Like fragility said, closing everything helps, disable av software, etc, and cooler ambient temps if you can muster it.

Wasn't aware the power slider worked with the XOC BIOS.  Just left it as is.  Learned something new!

Thanks for the info as well.
I was able to score a 15,741, so that is moving in the right direction. I think if I could keep the core below 35C, I could get a lot closer to 16K.
My clock was 2220 to start then did drop to 2205.

I will log some temps when I have some more time, but so far so good. And this Optimus block is just so nice! The amount of heat it pulls from the board is amazing!

Thanks to those who shared some starting points and information on the classified tool.  I'm still struggling to get a better score from it but I think I need more time to overclock the cpu first and then go back to the gpu.  My build is very new and I haven't had much time with it.  As soon as I got the gpu in I wanted to run some benchmarks to see what it could do.  I have a feeling I'm being limited to a certain degree by my CPU.  It's only running a solid 5Mhz for the most part according to the log on the port royal results.  I left the bios alone when I formatted the drives and setup the pc so I'm pretty sure there is something there to be gained.

These are some of the sample scores I got yesterday testing.  I tried higher NVDD values but then the gpu clock kept dropping so I found for my gpu the lower value there helped keep the clocks a bit higher.

I'm going to be and oc the cpu this weekend and then put in some additional time in.

Crossing my fingers hoping for better results when I have the time to run some test.

I thought the temps were fine, but I wasn't keeping tack of them on paper.  When I was running back to back test I thought the consistency of the coolant temp was fine along with the rest of the gpu as well.  When and if I start getting better scores I'll track my cpu temps more so I can be sure to share accurate information.

Try using XOC BIOS, which will disable some of the really restrictive factory limiters. Then try the classified tool settings again with what I posted. YMMV.

I loaded the XOC into switch position 2, so I can flip back to LN2 under normal conditions.

Great score! Anything over 15.5k is awesome. My clock setting was also 2200mhz but averaged 2206mhz, so very similar.

Probably the last one sent out!
06/03/22 Optimus sent my block, pretty excited, but at the same time super nervous if my block will be good or not.
Although cant complain much, was barely a 2 month wait for me.

I would double check the gaskets and cold plate as a precaution based on my experience with the block.  You should be able to check on the gaskets by taking off the plexi plate on one of the blocks and then comparing the white and block gaskets.  The black gaskets should be taller which is what you want to use to help ensure you have a good seal.  If both gaskets are the same which I doubt would be the case you should order a new replacement black one for your use.  They should have shipped with the new black one, but I would check just in case.  The original gasket dimensions were a bit smaller and may have been a contributor to a number of early users issues related to leaks.  I would highly encourage you to use the black gasket with the new dimensions to reduce possible issues for you.

Follow the instructions on the website and be aware not to over tighten the block to the pcb to prevent warping of either the block or the pcb of the gpu.  Pressure test if possible the assembled block prior to installation to help ensure the integrity of the seal of the block as well.

Mines also has the excess oil from the thermal pads that USMC mentions below.  Nothing to worry about but be aware of it so you don't panic when you see it happen.

There is a lot of information here in this thread if you read back to December of 2021 from users who posted their experiences with the block.

I did confirm with optimus a few weeks ago that my block has the new gaskets, and I'd assume all the blocks from around when my order shipped and forward would have the latest, updated design.

I thought my block was leaking but it was the insane amount of oil from the huge thermal pad that was coming up through the screw holes.

OK,
I loaded the 1000W XOC BIOS.

653W sounds about right.
How did temps look?

Hey yes looks about right, I was going to tell you that I spent a while playing with the Classy tool and it retarded every score until I got the 1k bios installed , but I was in an aircraft all day yesterday. Delta Wi-Fi is sketchy at best. 2 KPE's and I have not got + 1400 memory to even run without an artifact explosion and restart, Welcome the the mediocre KP club  Another reason I will pass on the KPE Ti lol, my current 3090 air Ti kicks my KPE's Lilly butt and I await the Block from EK.

No real reason to use the HC bios unless you want it to show up as the HC in precision.  I don't believe there are any real differences in the VBIOS from the hybrid KP.

active backplate isn't necessarily cold, just less hot which will give more oc headroom

Got my block today after a few delays. Looks amazing except the usual suspect.
Is this ok? Ive been following this thread for a bit and have seen some issues regarding the backplate being warped/curved etc. Im able to press down gently and it straightens out easily, but have not mounted or leak tested it yet.

I don't know, I would reach out to Optimus, see what they say.

Yup sent one out, just figured here would be faster than waiting on them to reply back.

Also, take a look at the gasket on the back, are you seeing good contact? If so, then I think you'll be fine

Sure it's fine as it will prob straighten out as you screw it on. Since you can with just a finger.

Was thinking that, but just wanted to be extra sure, thanks.

Seems good to me, debating running some silicone grease between the gaskets for extra measure and then double checking all the screws as some on here mentioned some being loose.

Yeah always smart to check all screws.. I've found alot of loose screws on my new EK GPU and CPU blocks.. guessing they loosen up in shipping.

I also received my block today. So what exactly should i check before installing beside the gasket that Jsunn mentioned? Also do you guys have some sort of a disassembling guide with pictures for the kingpin card? Sry I'm new to custom watercooling so this will be my first time to fully disassemble a card. Did it partially with a 2080ti hybrid to do the pump cable mod but this is obviously not the same. I don't want to screw anything up especially on this card lol.

Would appreciate the help! Thanks.

The HC block installation will show you how to break down the card.

The backplate is held on with some adhesive tape on one end, so you'll need some effort to pry it off.
