Nereus That's not the 3090 Ti FTW3 block though.. have not heard if they are even doing one, but I would not expect to see it for a long long time even if they do. I just sent Optimus a message to ask.. I'll update if I get a response.
Thanks for asking them about the 3090ti blocks. Even if it takes awhile for them to develop the block, that may be ok since apparently it could also be compatible with a 4090/4080 later this year, if all these cards really share the same PCB: https://videocardz.com/ne...-rtx-40-ada-ad102-gpus

Looks like we're through the preorders? People who ordered after, even way down in order numbers should be getting their blocks hopefully in the next month or two.

That does look nice. Glad Nvidia moved all the memory on the 3090 Ti card to the same side of the PCB as the GPU and such a block isn't needed with those cards.

Grey_Beard I did not order the KP block, as mine are FTW3, but here is the message I received this morning. ”Right now, we are anticipating a 6-7 week lead time. However, there is a very good chance it won't take that long. Thanks for hanging in there!” The site still says 4-5 weeks for these blocks. I will post when these are being shipped. I ordered them on March 3rd. Would think mid-to-late April, but not sure.
Did you order the Black mid plate block, that has been listed on their page for months? (I thought those were in stock & White or silver would have to be ordered) well that answers one of my questions about FTW3 blocks Thanks for posting
That's not the 3090 Ti FTW3 block though.. have not heard if they are even doing one, but I would not expect to see it for a long long time even if they do. I just sent Optimus a message to ask.. I'll update if I get a response.
Got a response from Optimus regarding the 3090 Ti FTW3: Nereus: Hello. Wondering if you have any plans for making a GPU block for the EVGA 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra? Optimus: Hey there, at this stage, probably not, given that we don't want to commit to a block that would take longer to appear than the 4090 :D But we're focusing right now on making products faster, so we can release new blocks when new GPUs come out. Good that Optimus are focusing on the right thing. So it appears only EK and EVGA are doing a block for the 3090 Ti FTW3 Ultra, and at this point NOBODY is doing a block for the K|ngP|n 3090 Ti.. just the Hybrid. Maybe EVGA will do a KPHC later..

Agreed. Optimus is still struggling in shipping out the KPE 3090 blocks.

Jsunn Bavor, any additional updates? Did you get things figured out? You decide what you are going to do?
I decided to keep them because it would be more of a hassle to use the Hydro Copper blocks and modify them for better backplate cooling than find motherboards that I can use the cards in with all of their issues. I have two motherboards that sort of work with the Optimus KP blocks as long as I don't want to change the ram often. One of them is a Threadripper board(ROG Zenith II Extreme Alpha) with 128 GB of RAM, so I don't plan to change that RAM frequently. The DIMM.2 card barely clears the backplate on the Optimus block closest to the CPU socket. I was planning to use that board in my daily system for 3D rendering, video editing/encoding, and some gaming. I considered buying a motherboard tray and building my own case or modifying a case to suit my needs. I looked at making a custom stand for the Raijintek PAEAN case to mount it vertical with the I/O at the top and add some external radiators or have so that the motherboard is parallel to the ground. However I'd need to make an extension for the glass cover since the Optimus KP waterblocks are too tall. I also considered the Lian Li Odyssey X with the configuration that has the vertical motherboard tray and I/O at the top and the Raijintek Eris Evo modified with a rotated motherboard tray. The modification to the Eris Evo case isn't too difficult because that case designed to have two ITX motherboards with the I/O at the top as one of the configurations. In the end, I decided for daily use that I'm going to do a water cooled build in the Tower 900 case with a pair of 560mm radiators and still have quick disconnects on the graphics cards. The vertical orientation of the cards in the tower 900 means there won't be 7.5 lbs of weight sideways on each PCIE slot, which was a big concern, even with a card support bracket. My test bench is a horizontal orientation, so the weight of the cards isn't an issue. I just need to be sure I only use them with motherboards that have the proper clearances. Also, with the quick disconnect fittings, I can use them with chilled water inside the case if I want to.

I sent an email to Optimus asking for an update on my order. I placed it in Jan of this year. They said that mine would be shipping in July. I'm not sure if they are through pre-orders yet, it does look like they are going to be picking up the pace a bit. If that date holds I will definitely be happy about that. They did mention in their email to me that they were working on some ways speed up the delivery so I am hoping that they can beat that date. I am tracking the orders, here is a link. If you'd like to send me your order number and dates, that may help others know what to expect on their delivery times. Placed an order for one, hopin the little issues with gaskets and all that gets a bit better. Not in a huge rush as i have the Hydrocopper, but also on the same hand, the hydrocopper sucks.
Never went above 44*C on the AIO playing games like MW2019 or Star citizen. Benchmarks it would hit 48*C and never really heatsoaked, i did have noctua fans on the rad though.
I had to remount it 4 times (also got a new tube of kpx on the 2nd remount) and it finally did a smidge better than the aio, then over a month its started to get worse, highs of 55*C on gaming loads, which is stupid high delta considering my water temps are 27*C. I have 2x 360mm rads, and 2x 420mm rads, was not expecting worse temps at all. Ive put on eks block on 2 20xx series cards with 0 issues.
Of course, all 1st world issues, just annoying that block was $300, had to wait a while, and it just massively sucked. Finally bit the bullet on the optimus and hopefully can sell the HC block. Just sucks im probably gonna get my suppressor approved from the ATF before i get this block from optimus.

That's great to hear. Do you thinks it's possible to do a pressure test without mounting it to the card? I'd like to avoid dismantling the card, finding a leak and then having to reassemble the stock board.

You could, but it may give a false negative. I would then mount the block to the card and test it, because there will probably be different stresses on the block once it's mounted, compared to the block standing alone.

Can't help thinking the July estimate is VERY conservative so that people don't get mad. Considering how there were at LEAST 600 pre-orders and THAT took 7 months to get through, I imagine the number of orders after that point has gone down significantly while their processing time has also likely improved a bit. Here's to hoping its not 7 months out.

The order numbers are sort of erroneous as they go in order for all transactions from Optimus. I'm pretty sure the number of actual KP preorders are fewer than 100-200 blocks. Now that they're shipping to people who ordered into September, the bulk of the KP blocks have likely shipped. I was updated that I may receive mine by the end of May, so that's a lot closer than July as they originally told me a few months ago. I'd assume there's only a few dozen blocks ahead of me, they likely only turn out a handful per week seeing how things have been going since release.

AtozGlue If my 3090 Ti Kingpin notification comes. I’m switching back to aio.
How come? You've waited so long for this block, don't you want to use it? I'd assume the performance on the standard KP with the Optimus block would be within a few % of a Ti given the higher oc headroom with better cooling and unlocked bios. I'm more of a gamer than anything else so this difference likely wouldn't be noticable, but I suppose if you are hardcore benchmark guy then it may matter more to you.

This is my first custom loop. I never really wanted to do one. I’m doing it just so I can check it off my list. I only use my pc to watch YouTube videos and play COD once in a while. I like AIO’s due to less maintenance.
